"Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kondisi koleksi fisik, bangunan dan lingkungan di Perpustakaan Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi (BPPT) selama pandemi covid-19, serta faktor yang merusak fisik koleksi. Survei kondisi koleksi dilakukan untuk menilai koleksi yang memerlukan penanganan dan perawatan terlebih dahulu agar dapat dimanfaatkan dalam waktu yang lama. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa survei lapangan dan wawancara. Survei dilakukan di Perpustakaan BPPT pada tanggal 11 Juni 2021 dengan menerapkan protokol kesehatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi koleksi fisik Perpustakaan BPPT yang memerlukan penanganan dan perawatan adalah koleksi buku terbitan lama. Faktor yang menyebabkan kerusakan berasal dari faktor eksternal diantaranya suhu dan kelembaban relatif, intensitas cahaya, hama dan serangga, jamur, serta perilaku manusia. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebagian koleksi fisik di Perpustakaan BPPT memang sudah mengalami beberapa kerusakan bahkan sebelum masa pandemi covid-19. Namun, selama pandemi berlangsung perpustakaan tidak melakukan perawatan koleksi secara teratur dan tidak adanya peminjaman koleksi fisik. Sehingga kerusakan pada koleksi yang ada sebelumnya bertambah.

This article aims to identify the condition of physical collections, buildings and the environment in the Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi Library (BPPT) during the covid-19 pandemic, as well as factors that damage the physical collections. A survey of the condition of the collection is carried out to assess the collections that require treatment and care first so that they can be used for a long time. This research is qualitative research with data collection techniques in the form of a field survey and interviews. The survey was conducted at the BPPT Library on June 11, 2021 by implementing health protocols. The results showed that the condition of the physical collection of the BPPT Library that requires handling and maintenance is a collection of old published books. Factors that cause damage come from external factors including temperature and relative humidity, light intensity, pests and insects, fungi, and human behavior. It can be concluded that some of the physical collections in the BPPT Library have indeed suf ered some damage even before the covid-19 pandemic. However, during the pandemic the library did not carry out regular collection maintenance and there was no borrowing of physical collections. So that the damage to the existing collection increases."
