ABSTRACT
This research examined whether two level aspects of teamwork, namely the team level team diversity and individual level preference of homogeneity, impacts the work satisfaction of an individual. Furthermore, the mediation effect of team effectiveness is also investigated in the relationship between team diversity and individual rsquo s satisfaction. The research involving 81 people in university level with various cultural background revealed that there is a negative relationship between the preference of homogeneity and individual satisfaction. Further, the study showed that team diversity leads to lower team effectiveness, but there is no evidence of whether it leads to lower satisfaction nor the mediation effect.

Karya tulis ini meneliti apakah dua tingkat dalam kerja sama tim, yaitu tingkat tim keberagaman tim dan tingkat individu preferensi homogenitas , mempengaruhi tingkat kepuasan individual. Selain itu, efek mediasi dari efektivitas tim juga diselidiki dalam hubungan antar keberagaman tim dan kepuasan individu. Penelitian yang melibatkan 81 orang di tingkat universitas dengan berbagai latar belakang budaya ini mengungkapkan bahwa adanya hubungan negative antara preferensi homogenitas dan kepuasan individu. Lebih lanjut, penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keragaman tim mengarah ke fektivitas tim yang lebih rendah, tetapi tidak ada bukti jelas apakah akan mengarah ke tingkat kepuasan dan mediasi yang lebih rendah.
