Anak prasekolah rentan mengalami peningkatan reaksi persaingan saudara kandung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kualitas kelekatan ibu-anak dengan tingkat reaksi persaingan saudara kandung. Penelitian ini bersifat cross sectional pada 102 responden dengan menggunakan teknik cluster sampling dan kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpul data. Hasil uji korelasi Spearman menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif antara kelekatan aman (r= -0.252) dengan tingkat reaksi persaingan saudara kandung, namun terdapat hubungan positif antara kelekatan resistan (r= 0.309) dan menghindar (r= 0.196) dengan tingkat reaksi persaingan saudara kandung. Orang tua perlu meminimalkan tingkat reaksi persaingan saudara kandung dengan mengontrol jenis kualitas kelekatan antara ibu dan anak.

ABSTRACT
Preschool children are at risk of having increased levels of sibling rivalry. This study aimed to know the correlation between mother-child attachment style and the level of sibling rivalry. This study used cross-sectional design with 102 respondents which were collected with cluster sampling technique and questionnaire as data collection tool. The result of Spearman?s Correlation test showed that there were negative correlation between secure attachment (r= -0.252) with the level of sibling rivalry, however there were positive correlation between resistant attachment (r= 0.309) and avoidant attachment (r= 0.196) with the level of sibling rivalry. Parents need to minimize the level of sibling rivalry by controlling the attachment style between mother and children
