Abstrak :
Darbareye Elly merupakan sebuah film thriller psikologis dari Iran yang disutradarai oleh Asghar Farhadi dan diproduksi pada tahun 2009. Bercerita tentang sekelompok teman yang sedang pergi ke pinggir kota, Pantai Kaspia, untuk berlibur. Seiring berjalannya cerita, terungkap kebohongan-kebohongan dari para tokoh untuk mewujudkan keinginannya masing-masing. Motivasi dari para tokoh membuat perubahan karakter yang digambarkan berbeda-beda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori psikologi sastra mengacu pada Sigmund Freud. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memaparkan karakter tokoh utama sesuai dengan teori psikologi sastra oleh Sigmund Freud. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa kepribadian tokoh utama, yaitu Elly, Sepideh, dan Ahmad memiliki karakter id yang paling mendominasi dibandingkan dengan ego dan superego, serta tokoh yang paling menunjukkan perubahan karakternya adalah Sepideh, lalu Elly, dan yang tidak terlalu menunjukkan perubahan karakternya adalah Ahmad. ......Darbareye Elly is an Iranian psychological thriller film directed by Asghar Farhadi and produced in 2009. It tells the story of a group of friends who go to the edge of the city, the Caspian Coast, for a vacation. As the story progresses, lies are revealed from the characters to realize their respective desires. The motivations of the characters make changes to the characters portrayed differently. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The theory used is the theory of literary psychology referring to Sigmund Freud. The purpose of this research is to describe the main character in accordance with the theory of literary psychology by Sigmund Freud. The results of this study found that the personalities of the main characters, namely Elly, Sepideh, and Ahmad have id characters that dominate the most compared to ego and superego, and the character who shows the most character change is Sepideh, then Elly, and the one who doesn't show too much character change is Ahmad.

Penelitian ini menganalisis karakter tokoh utama pada novel berbahasa Jawa yaitu novel Mitra Sejati karya Tulus Setiyadi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan memaparkan karakter tokoh utama yang terdapat dalam Novel Mitra Sejati karya Tulus Setiyadi. Dalam menuliskan cerita pada novel ini, pengarang tidak begitu saja menyajikan karakter yang dimiliki para tokoh, namun pengarang menyajikannya melalui percakapan, tingkah laku tokoh, proses berfikir, serta reaksi yang diberikan oleh setiap tokoh dalam cerita. Peneliti perlu melakukan pengkajian yang lebih mendalam untuk memahami dan mengetahui karakter yang ada pada tokoh utama. Penelitian ini perlu dilakukan karena peneliti melihat suatu ide gagasan yang ingin disampaikan oleh pengarang novel melalui karakter tokoh yang ditampilkan dalam cerita novel Mitra Sejati. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis, dengan pendekatan intrinsik serta fokus penelitian pada tokoh/penokohan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori pelukisan tokoh dengan delapan teknik dramatik oleh Burhan Nurgiyantoro. Delapan teknik tersebut adalah: teknik cakapan, teknik tingkah laku, teknik pikiran dan perasaan, teknik arus kesadaran, teknik reaksi tokoh, teknik reaksi tokoh lain, teknik pelukisan latar, dan teknik pelukisan fisik. Dengan teori yang digunakan, peneliti menemukan karakter tokoh utama pada novel ini, antara lain: rajin, disiplin, optimis, rasa ingin tahu, peduli, bertanggung jawab, mandiri, sabar, teguh dengan pendirian, dan solidaritas yang tinggi. ......This research analyzes the main character of the novel in Javanese language, named the novel Mitra Sejati by Tulus Setiyadi. In writing a story in this novel, the author does not just present the characteristic of the characters, but the author presents them through conversation, character behavior, thought processes, and reactions given by each character in the story. Researcher needs to do deeper review to understand the characteristic of the main character. This research needs to be done because the researcher sees an idea that the novel author wants to convey through the characters that are featured in the novel Mitra Sejati. This research uses a descriptive analysis method, with an intrinsic approach and a research focus on the characters/characterizations. This research uses character portrayal theory with eight dramatic techniques by Burhan Nurgiyantoro. The eight techniques are: conversational techniques, behavior techniques, mind and feeling techniques, awareness process techniques, character reaction techniques, other character reaction techniques, background visualize techniques, and physical depiction techniques. With the theory used, the researcher found the main characters in this novel, that are: diligent, disciplined, optimistic, curious, caring, responsible, independent, patient, persistent with a stand, and high solidarity

Abstrak :
Penelitian ini berisi tentang analisis pembuktian altruisme pada salah satu tokoh novel Mat (Ibu) karya Maxim Gorky, yaitu Pavel Vlasov. Data yang digunakan oleh penulis merupakan kutipan-kutipan teks pada novel yang kemudian dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif analitis dan mengaitkannya dengan teori tokoh dan penokohan dan teori cinta altruistik. Menurut Stephen G. Post, cinta altruistik merupakan ekspresi tertinggi pada altruisme yang berkaitan erat dengan kepedulian, perasaan kasihan, simpati, kemurahan hati, serta rasa persahabatan. Penelitian ini berargumen bahwa tokoh Pavel memiliki altruisme di dalam dirinya yang diekspresikan melalui tindakan cinta altruistiknya dalam memperjuangkan kesejahteraan kaum buruh. Dengan demikian, penulis berharap penelitian ini dapat menambah pengetahuan pembaca mengenai altruisme, tokoh Pavel, serta melengkapi rumpang penelitian tentang novel Mat (Ibu) karya Maxim Gorky melalui cara pandang yang berbeda tentang Pavel. ...... This research consists of the proof analysis of altruism in one of the characters in the novel Mat (Mother) by Maxim Gorky, named Pavel Vlasov. The data used by the author are quotations from the text in the novel which are analyzed using descriptive analytical methods and connect them to the theory of characters and characterizations and the theory of altruistic love. According to Stephen G. Post, altruistic love is the highest expression of altruism which is closely related to caring, compassion, sympathy, generosity, and a sense of friendship. This study argues that Pavel's character has altruism in him which is expressed through his acts of altruistic love in fighting for the welfare of the workers. Thus, the writer hopes that this research can increase the reader's knowledge about altruism, Pavel's character, and complete the research space on the novel Mat (Mother) by Maxim Gorky through a different perspective on Pavel.

Tesis ini menganalisis karakter tokoh Masago, seorang istri samurai zaman Heian di dalam film Rashomon. Dengan menggunakan metode karakterisasi, teori analisis film Bordwell dan Thompson, serta konsep gender dalam masyarakat Jepang, tesis ini menjawab permasalahan bagaimana karakter tokoh Masago di dalam film Rashomon mengubah gambaran tentang pemikiran perempuan zaman Heian. Dalam analisisnya, perubahan pemikiran tokoh Masago muncul melaui dialog-dialog, perilaku, dan sudut pandang tokoh. Hal ini juga didukung dari aspek style film yang mencakup mise en scene dan teknik sinematografi. Masago mengubah gambaran tentang pemikiran perempuan zaman Heian yang lekat dengan stereotip lemah dan pasif menjadi tokoh penting yang memiliki suara dalam menghadapi dominasi laki-laki terhadapnya.

ABSTRACT
This thesis analyzes the character of Masago, a Heian samurai wife in Rashomon. Using the characterization method, Bordwell and Thompson 39 s theory of film analysis, and concept of gender in Japanese society, this thesis answers the question of how Masago characters in Rashomon change the image of the thinking of the Heian women. In the analysis, Masago 39 s thinking changes arose through the dialogues, behaviors, and point of view. It is also supported from the movie style aspect which includes mise en scene and cinematography techniques. Masago changed the picture of the thinking of a Heian woman who was attached to a weak and passive stereotype to become an important figure who had a voice in the face of male domination against him.
