"Penyakit asam urat adalah meningkatnya kadar urin acid dalam darah, salah satu penyebabnya adalah konsumsi makanan tinggi purin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi efektifitas multimedia interaktif sebagai peningkatan pengetahuan tentang penyakit asam urat. Penelitian ini quasi eksperimen, sampel yang digunakan random sampling dengan cluster sampling. Responden dibagi dua dengan kelompok kontrol dan kasus masingmasng berjumlah 33 responden usia 60 tahun. Hasil yang didapatkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan lanjut usia sesudah dilakukan pendidikan kesehatan dengan menggunakan media leaflet dan multimedia interaktif. Kedua media tersebut dapat digunakan, namun multimedia interaktif lebih efektif 16,41% dibandingkan dengan media leaflet. Diharapkan penelitian lain dapat mengembangkan kembali multimedia interaktif tentang kasus yang terjadi pada lanjut usia.

Disease is the increased levels of uric acid urine acid in blood, one reason is the consumption of foods high in purine. This study aims to identify the effectiveness of interactive multimedia as an increase in knowledge about the disease gout. This quasi-experimental study, the sample used random sampling with cluster sampling. Respondents were divided into two with the control group and each masng cases totaled 33 respondents aged 60 years. Results obtained an increase in knowledge after the elderly carried out by using the media of health education leaflets and interactive multimedia. Both media can be used, but more effective interactive multimedia 16.41% compared with the media leaflets. Another study is expected to redevelop an interactive multimedia on the case with the elderly."
