Pajak Hotel dan Restoran merupakan salah satu jenis Pajak Daerah yang cukup potensial, namun pemungutannya kurang maksimal, penyebabnya antara lain terjadinya krisis ekonomi yang berkepanjangan, iklim usaha yang kurang kondusif, masih tingginya ketidakpatuhan dari Wajib Pajak serta masih kurangnya kuantitas maupun kualitas Pemeriksa.
