"Konstruksi perempuan yang muncul dalam iklan, layar kaca, film maupun media lain menunjukkan salah satu karakter yang dimiliki oleh perempuan yang ideal adalah paras cantik atau menarik. Hal yang menjadi pertanyaan adalah, bagaimana dengan konstruksi sosial kecantikan perempuan yang bekerja di industri media (di belakang layar), apakah sama? Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Konstruksi Sosial dari Berger dan Luckmann. Dalam penelitian ini paradigma yang digunakan adalah konstruktivisme dan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara mendalam dengan pekerja perempuan khususnya mereka yang bekerja di belakang layar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Proses konstruksi sosial pada kecantikan perempuan yang bekerja di insitusi media terjadi melalui momen eksternalisasi, yaitu adanya anggapan bahwa bekerja di institusi media walaupun di belakang layar harus tetap memperhatikan penampilan wajah dan tubuh, lalu ada momen objektivasi yang terbagi dua yaitu karyawan perempuan merasa memang diperlukan untuk tampil menarik kapanpun itu dan sebaliknya merasa apabila tampilan menarik hanya diperlukan jika ada acara besar saja. Terakhir ada momen internalisasi yaitu proses sosialisasi melalui keluarga teman dan lingkunan sekitar yang terjadi pada setiap individu lalu kemudian hadir di momen eksternalisasi kembali.
The construction of women who appear in advertisements, television screens, films and other media shows that one of the characters possessed by the ideal woman is a beautiful or attractive face. The question is, what about the social construction of women's beauty working in the media industry (behind the scenes), is it the same? This study uses Social Construction theory from Berger and Luckmann. In this study the paradigm used is constructivism and using qualitative methods. Data collection was carried out by in-depth interviews with women workers, especially those who worked behind the scenes. The results showed that the social construction process on the beauty of women who work in media institutions occurs through moments of externalization, namely the assumption that working in a media institution even though behind the scenes must still pay attention to the appearance of the face and body, then there is a moment of objectivation divided into two, namely female employees feel it is necessary to look good whenever it is and vice versa feel that if an attractive appearance is only needed if there is a big event. Finally there is the moment of internalization, the process of socialization through family friends and the surrounding environment that occurs in each individual and then present at the moment of externalization again."

"Sebuah konsep sederhana dari permasalahan proses komunikasi adalah miskomunikasi. Manusia sebagai individu dengan keterbatasan integrasi kerja dan pemikiran yang beragam, mengalami distorsi dalam menyampaikan informasi yang ingin disampaikan. Proses penerimaan informasi oleh lawan bicara juga beragam, sehingga proses interpretasi informasi dapat menjadi beragam. Praktisi humas sebagai mediator dari sebuah institusi atau organisasi berperan penting dalam menjaga opini yang muncul terhadap informasi yang beredar. Tulisan ini akan memberikan gambaran sederhana sebuah poin krusial tentang peran humas dalam meminimalisir terjadinya miskomunikasi.
A simple concept of trouble in communication process is miscommunication. Human being as a human being with a limited working integration and many thought inside their cognition cause distortion in delivering information that they wanted to inform. Receiving information process to the receiver of the message also accepted differently, it rsquo s cause the interpretation of the information can be accepted in many ways. Public relation practitioners as the mediator from institution or organization take role in maintaining potential opinion of the information that spread out. This paper will concern in giving simple frame about crucial point about public relation role in maintaining and minimalize miscommunication occur."

"Meningkatnya angka stasiun televisi berita di Indonesia membuat persaingan di industri ini semakin kompleks. Perkembangan teknologi serta kemungkinan pendapatan yang dijanjikan industri ini sangat menggiurkan pelaku usaha, namun disisi lain meningkatkan angka pesaing hanya akan membuat pangsa pemirsa stasiun televisi semakin berkurang terutama bagi stasiun televisi berita yang memang pang pemirsanya sudah terbatasi oleh kriteria tertentu. Namun, walau dengan kondisi ini iNews memilih untuk memulai mengudara menantang pesaing-pesainnya di tengah kepopularitasan Metro TV dan TV One yang sedang memuncak. Oleh karena itu, untuk dapat bersaing dengan kompetitornya, iNews perlu meningkatkan konten yang dimilikinya untuk meningkatkan pangsa pasar yang tentunya akan merangsang jumlah pemasangan iklan oleh
advertiser. Penelitian ini menganalisis lingkungan internal dan eksternal dengan menggunakan analisis SWOT iNews untuk dapat membantu dalam peningkatan konten iNews sebagai televisi berita. Dari hasil penelitian, iNews memiliki kekuatan (competitive advantage) untuk sistem integrasinya dimana iNews dapat bertukar sumber daya dengan RCTI, GTV, dan MNC TV. Dengan sistem terpadu ini, iNews menjadi kaya akan materi berita yang juga diikuti dengan sumber daya manusia terpadu yang mumpuni untuk menciptakan konten-konten seperti tayangan forum diskusi yang merupakan jenis tayangan yang digemari pemirsa.
Growing number of news TV in Indonesia has led to complex competition among media industry in the country. Technology development as well as potential high revenue indeed triggers industry players to enter the field, however the more industry players start entering the field it would also lessen the number of the industry market share. Moreover, the fact that news TV has a segmented audience makes the share for specifically this business even lesser. The intense competition this business offers seems to not stopping iNews from airing as news TV. As we have known even before iNews start airing, the industry already has Metro TV and TV One who are considered to have a strong market and popularity as news TV in Indonesia. Thus, in order to be able to survive and win the competition, iNews should start improving their programs content with expectation it could increase the number of audience that would also trigger the increase of advertisings in iNews from advertisers. It was previously said by Nielsen that most of TV station revenue is contributed by advertising revenue. Through this thesis, writer was analyzing iNews internal and external environment using SWOT analysis to help finding out whether iNews has unique strength that cant be easily copied by its competitors to improve its programs content and win the market. The analysis found out that iNews has applied a system called integration system which allows iNews to exchange resource with RCTI, GTV, and MNC TV. By exploiting the application of this system, it would help iNews in creating innovative and attractive programs such as a program which adopts the concept of open discussion in which this type of program has attract quite a big number of audience."

ABSTRAKMedia relation merupakan salah satu praktik yang terdapat dalam sistem dari Departemen Public Relations (PR) dan bertujuan supaya informasi dari suatu organisasi dapat disebarluaskan kepada publik melalui saluran suatu industri media. Ternyata terdapat departemen PR dari suatu industri media melakukan praktik media relations dengan industri media lain meskipun telah memiliki saluran media untuk menyebarkan informasi. Dalam praktik media relations yang terdapat dalam sistem Departemen PR, para anggota departemen PR sebagai para agen berhubungan dengan para agen lain dari redaksi industri media lain berdasarkan struktur yang terus-menerus diproduksi dan direproduksi. Struktur diproduksi dan direproduksi melalui interaksi dan tindakan para agen, baik dalam lingkungan internal dan lingkungan eksternal departemen. Ketika para agen berinteraksi, mereka juga melakukan tindakan komunikasi. Struktur dan sistem dalam praktik media relations yang terus diproduksi dan direproduksi dapat berlangsung secara dinamis (transformasi) dan stabil (rutinitas). Untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses produksi dan reproduksi tersebut dalam interaksi para agen, maka diperlukan analisis menggunakan teori strukturasi yang dikembangkan oleh McPhee dan Poole.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan dan memberikan pemahaman mengenai strukturasi komunikasi internal dan komunikasi eksternal dalam praktik media relations yang terjadi di dalam departemen PR. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus instrumental tunggal dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa di dalam sistem departemen PR, staf berhubungan dengan atasannya di lingkungan internal dan berhubungan dengan jurnalis dan atasan jurnalis di lingkungan eksternal. Dalam melakukan praktik media relations, para agen menggunakan struktur aturan berupa prosedur, kebijakan, job description, dan kode etik sebagai pedoman dan sumber daya berupa pengalaman, pengetahuan, dan kemampuan/skill dalam bertindak dan berinteraksi sehingga sistem dan praktik dapat berlangsung terus-menerus baik secara dinamis maupun statis.

Apparently, a PR department of a media industry implements the media relations practice with other media industries, although it has already had its own channel to spread the information. In the practice of media relations in the PR department system, members of the PR department as agents are in contact with the other agents from the newsrooms of other media industries and it is done based on the structure that is continuously produced and reproduced. The structure is produced and reproduced through interactions and actions of the agents, both in the internal environment and external environment of the department. When the agents interact, they also do the actions of the communication. The structure and the system in the practice of media relations that are continuously produced and reproduction can happen dynamically (transformation) and stable (routines). To know how the process of production and reproduction in the interaction of the agents, then required an analysis using structuration theory developed by McPhee and Poole.This research aims to describe and provide understanding of structuration of internal communication and external communication in the practice of media relations that occur in the department of PR. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sumber daya dan kapabilitas yang menjadi keunggulan bersaing. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, data diperoleh dari data primer berupa observasi dan wawancara dan data sekunder. Dengan menggunakan analisis Valuable, rare, immitable and organization (VRIO) diperoleh hasil penelitian bahwa perusahaan memiliki dua sumber daya dan dua kapabiltas yang dapat dijadikan sebagai keunggulan bersaing.

But maintaining the existence to survive in the media industry is an issue of online media business currently. Therefore, to compete Edunews.id must have a strategy to gain competitive advantage in resource based view (RBV) perspective. This study aims to analyze the resources and capabilities that become competitive advantage. This research is a qualitative research, data obtained from primary data in the form of observation and interview and secondary data. By using Valuable, rare, immitable and organization (VRIO) analysis, it is found that the company has two resources and two capabilties that can be used as competitive advantage."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak pandemi Covid-19 terhadap inovasi digital dan perubahan model bisnis media cetak di Indonesia. Penelitian menghasilkan temuan empiris bahwa pandemi Covid-19 telah menghadirkan disrupsi pada semua kegiatan media cetak, mulai dari produksi, distribusi, hingga konsumsi. Situasi ini membuat organisasi media cetak tidak memiliki banyak pilihan untuk bertahan, selain dengan berinovasi digital dan inovasi model bisnis. Hasil dari penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa dampak pandemi Covid-19 sebagai faktor yang paling besar mempengaruhi inovasi digital media cetak di Indonesia. Selain itu penelitian juga membuktikan bahwa kepemimpinan yang bersifat transformasional menjadi faktor yang mempengaruhi inovasi digital. Di sisi lain, penelitian ini membuktikan adanya hubungan negatif antara inersia organisasi dengan inovasi digital. Hasil uji hipotesis membuktikan pula inovasi digital berpengaruh positif pada inovasi model bisnis media cetak di Indonesia . Salah satu inovasi model bisnis yang dilakukan media cetak di Indonesia adalah dengan bertransformasi secara total menjadi media digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif menggunakan analisis model struktural (SEM), dengan distribusi sampel kepada 60 pimpinan media cetak. Penelitian ini juga dilengkapi wawancara dengan lima pimpinan media cetak di Indonesia. Metode dan hasil penelitian ini selaras dengan tujuan umum penelitian untuk membuktikan faktor pandemi Covid-19 dalam mendorong perubahan dan inovasi model bisnis organisasi bisnis. Peneliti memandang penelitian ini dapat dilanjutkan dengan penelitian serupa dalam konteks waktu pasca-pandemi.
This research aims to determine the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on digital innovation and changes in the print media business model in Indonesia. This research finds empirical evidence that Covid-19 has limited physical interactions which have resulted in disruption of all newspaper business activities starting from the production, distribution, and consumption. This situation left newspaper organizations with little choice but to innovate process of business and also the business model. The results of this research prove the hypothesis that the impact of Covid 19 is the most influential factor that driving digital innovation in Indonesian print media organization. In addition to transformational leadership, it is also a factor that influences digital innovation. The inertia factor in print media organizations has also been shown to have a negative effect on digital innovation. The study also found an influence relationship between digital innovation carried out by print media in Indonesia and business model innovation (BMI). One of the plural forms of business model innovation taken by some Indonesian print media in Indonesia is totally switch to digital media. This research uses mix, quantitative and quantitative, methods by distributing samples in 60 national dan local newspapers leaders in Indonesia. General purpose of this research is to reveal the influence of Covid-19 pandemic as driving factor that force change and innovation in business organizations. Researchers view this research can be followed by similar research in the context of post-pandemic time. "
