"When we use a camera, we want the recorded image to be a faithful representation of the scene that we see, but every image is more or less blurry. In image deblurring, the goal is to recover the original, sharp image by using a mathematical model of the blurring process. The key issue is that some information on the lost details is indeed present in the blurred image, but this hidden information can be recovered only if we know the details of the blurring process. Deblurring Images: Matrices, Spectra, and Filtering describes the deblurring algorithms and techniques collectively known as spectral filtering methods, in which the singular value decompositionr a similar decomposition with spectral properties as used to introduce the necessary regularization or filtering in the reconstructed image. The concise MATLAB implementations described in the book provide a template of techniques that can be used to restore blurred images from many applications.

"Flotasi merupakan proses pengambilan mineral berharga dari pengotornya. Flotasi kolom digunakan untuk pengambilan mineral berharga dengan nilai kadar lebih tinggi dibandingkan flotasi konvensional. Dalam rangka menentukan efisiensi proses flotasi, diperlukan proses monitoring. Desain kolom dibuat dalam skala laboratorium dengan tinggi 120 cm dan diameter 5 cm. Proses monitoring dilakukan dengan kamera berkecepatan 240 fps. Kemudian dilakukan image processing dengan Picsara dan MatLab. Bijih yang digunakan adalah ZnS dengan variasi ukuran partikel 163, 127 89.5, dan 74 mikron. Percobaan dilakukan dengan injeksi udara 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5 dan 4 L/menit. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa proses monitoring mampu meningkatkan efisiensi dari nilai recovery pada proses flotasi.

Flotation is the process of taking valuable minerals from its impurities. Flotation columns are used for the retrieval of valuable minerals with higher grade values than conventional flotation. In order to determine the efficiency of the flotation process, a monitoring process is required. Column design is made in laboratory scale with height 120 cm and diameter 5 cm. Monitoring process is done with camera speed 240 fps. Then image processing is done with Picsara and MatLab. The ore used is ZnS with particle size variations of 163, 127, 89.5 and 74 micron. The experiments were performed with 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5 and 4 L min of air injections. The results showed that the monitoring process can improve the efficiency of the recovery value in the flotation process.
