Abstrak :
Penelitian ini membahas bagaimana surat kabar nasional memberitakan para atlet perempuan pemeroleh medali emas SEA Games 2017. Pembahasan dari beberapa artikel yang dipilih melingkupi bagaimana media membangun karakteristik heroik bagi para atlet, sekaligus juga bagaimana citra feminin tidak bisa dilepaskan dari mereka. Dengan menggunakan metode tekstual yang membedah satu per satu teks berita beradasarkan tipologi pemberitaan, dapat ditemukan bahwa terjadi irisan antara karakteristik heroik para atlet dengan narasi yang juga memberi muatan feminin. Ditemukan penamaan-penamaan khusus yang diberikan sebagai simbol bagi para atlet, disertai dengan dramatisasi pencapaian, juga kontestasi antara atlet junior dengan senior, hingga deskripsi-deskripsi yang mengarah kepada feminintas para atlet dan terpresentasikan dalam sosok tiga atlet wushu putri Indonesia. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai heroisme para atlet perempuan di dalam media masih dibangun lewat karakteristik gender tertentu. ......This research discusses how national newspapers covered female athletes who won gold medals at the 2017 SEA Games. The discussion, based on several selected articles, encompasses how the media constructs heroic characteristics for these athletes while also associating them with feminine images. By using a textual analysis method that deconstructs each news article based on the typology of reporting, it can be observed that there is an intersection between the heroic characteristics of the athletes and the narratives that also imbue them with femininity. Specific names and titles are found that are given as symbols for the athletes, accompanied by dramatizations of their achievements, as well as competitions between junior and senior athletes. Additionally, there are descriptions that lead to the femininity of the athletes, which is prominently presented in the figure of three Indonesian female wushu athletes. These findings indicate that the heroism values of female athletes in the media are still constructed through specific gender characteristics.

Abstrak :
Penelitian ini membahas mengenai perbandingan penokohan protagonis yakni Tania Grotter dalam karya sastra populer Rusia, Таня Гроттер и Магический контрабас karya Dmitrii Emets dan Harry Potter dalam karya sastra asal Inggris, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone karya J. K. Rowling. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode deskriptif-analitis yang kemudian dikaitkan dengan teori heroisme yang diutarakan oleh Franco Zimbardo 2006 dan dikuatkan oleh pendapat Kohen 2013 . Hasil analisis yang menerapkan teori heroisme memperlihatkan bahwa dalam penokohannya, kedua protagonis berhasil merepresentasikan aspek-aspek kepahlawanan melalui peristiwa, ucapan, sikap maupun tindakan. Selain itu, bandingan representasi heroisme dalam sosok Tania Grotter dan Harry Potter dipengaruhi oleh perbedaan dan persamaan penokohannya. ......This research discusses about comparison on protagonist characterization of Tania Grotter from Russian popular literary works, Таня Гроттер и Магический контрабас by Dmitrii Emets and Harry Potter of British novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J. K. Rowling. This research is done by using analytical-descriptive method, then tied and combined with theories on heroism from Franco and Zimbardo 2006 which is supported by Kohen 2013 . The analyses result applying heroism theories shows that both protagonists manage to represent heroism traits and aspects through events, speeches, gestures, and actions. Also, the comparison on heroism representation in Tania Grotter and Harry Potter is affected by the differences and similarities in their characterization.

Artikel ini membahas tentang heroisme dalam film Les Femmes de L rsquo;Ombre yang diadaptasi dari kisah nyata tentang tokoh-tokoh perempuan yang ikut berperan dalam Perang Dunia II dengan tergabung dalam organisasi spionase Special Operations Executive SOE. Penelitian kualitatif ini dianalisis melalui aspek naratif dan sinematografis film dengan menggunakan teori Boggs dan Petrie 2011. Sementara itu, artikel ini menggunakan konsep heroisme oleh Taha 2002. Hasil analisis menentukan status hero pada tokoh-tokoh yang meliputi status hero, semi-hero dan anti-hero yang dilihat melalui motivasi, tekad, kemampuan, perjuangan serta keberhasilan tokoh dalam menyelesaikan misi utama. ......This article focuses on analyzing the heroism of female characters in a movie titled Les Femmes de L rsquo;Ombre by Jean Paul Salom which is based on true story. This movie depicts how women struggled against German durning World War II by joining espionage organization called Special Operations Executive SOE. This research is a qualitative research and analyzed through narrative and cinematrography aspect from Boggs and Petrie 2011. Meanwhile, the values of heroism in this movie is reviewed by using heroism concept by Taha 2002. The result of this research distinguishes the three conceptions of heroism, namely hero, semi-hero, and anti-hero as seen through each character rsquo;s motivation, will, ability, execution, and outcome.
