Naskah seminar ini membahas usulan potensi pemanfaatan Natural Gas Hydrates (NGH) sebagai media alternatif transportasi gas bumi. Indonesia saat ini mengalami penurunan produksi gas dan salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan memproduksi gas dari lapangan stranded. NGH merupakan media alternatif transportasi gas alam yang cukup menjanjikan, namun belum banyak dikembangkan. Berbagai skenario rantai suplai NGH, mulai dari proses produksi dan transportasi telah diuji melalui analisis tekno-ekonomi untuk mengkaji kelayakan dari sisi teknis dan ekonomi terkait kemungkinan penerapan di Indonesia. Butana dengan laju alir 30 MMSCFD dipilih sebagai refrigeran pada satu train produksi NGH dengan kapasitas 25 MMSCFD gas alam. Empat skenario rantai suplai NGH telah dianalisis dan didapatkan harga jual NGH untuk skenario pengiriman dari Sorong ke Makassar, Surabaya, Jakarta, dan Arun berturut-turut US$ 9.56/MMBTU, US$ 8.93/MMBTU, US$ 9.04/MMBTU, dan US$ 9.95/MMBTU pada skenario IRR 15%. Berdasarkan analisis tekno-ekonomi yang dilakukan, NGH layak menjadi media alternatif dalam transportasi gas alam dan memungkinkan untuk dikembangkan di Indonesia. ......The focus of this study is to discusss Natural Gas Hydrates (NGH) utilization potential as alternative medium for natural gas transportation. Indonesia has been facing gas declining problem and one of solution which can be applied is by producing gas from stranded area. NGH is one of promising media for natural gas transportation, but not much developed yet. Various scenarios of NGH supply chain, including production and transportation have been analyzed by applying techno-economic analysis in order to examine its feasibility from technical and economical views concerned with its application in Indonesia. Butane with flow rate of 30 MMSCFD has been chosen as refrigerant at one train of NGH production process with 25 MMSCFD of natural gas capacity. Four NGH supply chain scenarios have been analyzed and NGH sales price has been achieved for delivery scenario from Sorong to Makassar, Surabaya, Jakarta, and Arun respectively with value of US$ 9.56/MMBTU, US$ 8.93/MMBTU, US$ 9.04/MMBTU, dan US$ 9.95/MMBTU at 15% IRR. Based on techno-economical analysis have been performed, NGH may feasible as alternative medium for natural gas transportation and be developed in Indonesia.
