"Taman memiliki banyak fungsi dan memiliki dampak positif untuk masyarakat perkotaan dalam aspek psikologis dan fisik. Mahasiswa dan karyawan kampus menghabiskan separuh waktunya di area kampus, namun perspektif mahasiswa dan perawat taman sebagai pengguna taman kurang dilibatkan dalam perancangan taman kampus. Kondisi taman selaku salah satu faktor lingkungan bergantung pada perilaku pengguna taman yaitu mahasiswa dan perawat kampus. Sebaliknya, perilaku dan perspektif pengguna taman dibentuk dari kondisi taman kampus. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, tujuan penelitian ini adalah; 1) menganalisis perspektif pengguna taman pada faktor lingkungan; 2) menganalisis faktor lingkungan taman kampus; 3) menganalisis perilaku pengguna taman pada taman kampus; 4) merancang taman selaku salah satu faktor lingkungan taman yang sesuai dengan perspektif pengguna taman. Peneli menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode convergent parallel mixed method. Data kuantitatif didapatkan dengan kuesioner dan data kualitatif dengan observasi partisipatif serta wawancara pengguna. Hasil penelitian adalah adalah faktor lingkungan, perspektif pengguna, dan perilaku pengguna saling bergantung dan membentuk satu dengan yang lain. Sebagai perancang, sangat penting untuk mengetahui kebutuhan pengguna untuk memastikan perilaku dan kondisi rancangan berlanjut.

Gardens have many functions and have a positive impact on urban communities in psychological and physical aspects. Campus students and employees spend half of their time in the campus area like gardens, but the perspective of students and caretakers' as garden users is less involved in designing campus gardens. The condition of the garden as one of the environmental factors depends on the behavior of park users, namely students and campus caretakers. Instead, the behavior and perspectives of garden users are formed from the condition of campus garden. Based on these problems, the purpose of this study is; 1) analyze the perspective of garden users on environmental factors; 2) analyze the campus garden environmental factors; 3) analyze the behavior of garden users on campus parks; 4) designing the garden based on users' perspective. Researchers used a qualitative approach and convergent parallel mixed method. Quantitative data were obtained by questionnaire and qualitative data by participatory observation and user interviews. The results of the study are environmental factors, user perspectives, and user behavior that are interdependent and form one another. As a designer, it is very important to know the needs of users to ensure the sustainability of users' behavior and gardens' condition."
