Hasil dari kajian ini ingin memperlihatkan bahwa proses pembuatan berita oleh media (opini media) terhadap suatu peristiwa kejahatan dapat mengonstruksi persepsi masyarakat terhadap kasus tersebut, yang dapat berujung pada munculnya praktik trial by the press ......Mass media has a strong influence in society, the media can provide its own opinion on an event especially crime, Vincent Sacco (1955) explained that the media can contextualize a crime through three main aspects including; Collecting, Sorting, and Contextualization. These three aspects attempt to explain the contextualization process in the form of a frame for the events the media wants to raise. One example of a case that has elements of media framing is the murder case of Mirna Wayan Salihin using cyanide in coffee, with the accused Jessica Kumala Wongso. Several studies in one level explained that in the course of this case, there was a framing made by the media against Jessica. In identifying the frames, a frame analysis tool was created, one of which is the Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki model. Pan and Kosicki use this tool to identify how the reality of a social problem issue is constructed by the media. The results of this study want to show that the process of making news by the media (media opinion) on a crime can construct public perceptions of the case, which can lead to the emergence of trial by the press practice

......The thesis analyzes how Western media and its affiliations construct hegemonic discourses regarding the Global South's response to the climate crisis during the Conference of Parties (COP) 26 agenda in Scotland in 2021. The research utilizes Goffman’s Frame Analysis to critically examine the power of mass media as the fourth pillar of democracy and its narrow interests toward the West. Drawing from Jurgen Habermas' perspective on cultural domination, this study argues that the Global North media's narrative on environmental issues in the Global South adopts a dictating and blaming style while also promoting dependence. The research findings reveal that mass media hegemonizes biased narratives by shaping public rationality, commercialization of public space, and perpetuating the notion that the public in Southern countries is unenlightened.

Abstrak :
Graphic methods for structural design essentially translate problems of algebra into geometric representations, allowing solutions to be reached using geometric construction (ie: drawing pictures) instead of tedious and error-prone arithmetic. This was the common method before the invention of calculators and computers, but had been largely abandoned in the last half century in favor of numerical techniques. However, in recent years the convenience and ease of graphic statics has made a comeback in architecture and engineering. Several professors have begun using graphic statics in the classroom.and.studio environment. But until now, there had been no guidebook that rapidly brings students up to speed on the fundamentals of how to create graphical solutions to statics problems. Graphic Statics introduces all of the traditional graphic statics techniques in a parametric drawing format, using the free program GeoGebra. Then, advanced topics such as indeterminate beams and three dimensional curved surfaces are be covered. Along the way, links to wider design ideas are introduced in a succinct summary of the steps needed to create elegant solutions to many static equilibrium problems.
