ABSTRAK
In transmission system, the information to be transmitted from one source to several addressed receivers requires a component to distribute the information. To achieve an efficient and simple distribution circuit of information, a study on the use of fiber as information signal distributor without using other optical elements has been developed as a fiber star-coupler. The optical fiber star-coupler was constructed by chemically processing the end face of fiber into a cone-shaped. The process was carried out by chemical treatment for unjacketed fibers using HF solution.

The optical signal distributed to the outgoing fibers will have as higher intensity as the nearer the fiber to the optical axis.

An efficient fiber star-coupler can be achieved by arranging the optimum number of receiving fibers correspond to coupling distance and numerical aperture of the optical fibers.

In the present study, natural fibers located in thick outer woody rinds of the metroxylon sago (MS) tree were investigated. The investigation focused on measuring the mechanical properties and observing the microstructures of MS fibers before and after treatment with 5% sodium hydroxide. A scanning electron microscope was used to observe the microstructure of MS fiber, and the results showed that there was a decrease in fiber diameter after mercerization. A porous structure in the cross-section area of untreated fibers was clearly seen, and it was highly compressed after mercerization. The strength of MS fiber increased significantly after it was treated by 5% NaOH solution for two hours. The average ultimate strength of untreated MS fiber was recorded as 46 MPa; treatment with sodium hydroxide resulted in a significant increase in average ultimate strength to 163 MPa. Additionally, the elastic modulus of treated fiber was greater than that of untreated fiber.

Prosthesis merupakan alat kesehatan yang memiliki tujuan mengembalikan fungsi dari bagian tubuh yang hilang. Di indonesia, bahan socket prosthesis yang sering digunakan adalah komposit berpenguat fiberglass yang memiliki beberapa permasalahan dalam pemanfaatannya. Penggunaan serat rami dapat menjadi alternatif penguat pada komposit socket prosthesis. Penambahan carbon nanotube (CNT) pada komposit diketahui dapat meningkatkan sifat mekanik. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh dampak kekuatan tekuk dari komposit serat rami-CNT untuk pemanfaatan socket prosthesis. Jumlah CNT pada komposit divariasikan sebesar 0%, 0,5%, 1%, dan 3%. Bentuk serat yang digunakan adalah bentuk chopped strand. Untuk meningkatkan kompabilitas, fungsionalisasi CNT digunakan dengan metode mild acid oxidation yang dilanjutkan dengan perlakuan permukaan silane coupling agent. Perlakuan alkaline treatment dilakukan pada serat untuk menghilangkan pengotor yang menutupi selulosa dari permukaan, yang kemudian diperlakukan silane coupling agent untuk meningkatkan ikatan serat dengan matriks. Uji yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah uji FTIR pada serat rami dan CNT untuk melihat beberapa gugus fungsi sebagai parameter keberhasilan perlakuan, dan uji tekuk dari komposit. Hasil uji tekuk memperlihatkan terjadinya penurunan kekuatan tekuk komposit sebesar 48,96%, 35,44%, dan 6,31 % pada penambahan CNT 0,5%, 1%, dan 3%. Hasil komposit yang didapatkan belum layak untuk diaplikasikan pada pemanfaatan socket prosthesis. ...... In Indonesia, most commonly used prosthesis socket material is fiberglass reinforced composites that have several problems in their utilization. Ramie fiber can be an alternative reinforcement in prosthesis socket composites. The aim of this study is to obtain effect in the flexural strength of composite ramie-CNT fiber for socket prosthesis utilization. The amount of CNT in composites varied by 0%, 0.5%, 1%, and 3%. The form of fiber used is chopped strand. To improve compatibility, CNT functionalized with mild acid oxidation method followed by surface treatment of silane coupling agent. Alkaline treatment is carried out on fiber to remove impurities that cover cellulose from the surface, which is then treated by silane coupling agent to increase fiber bond with matrix. Tests carried out in this study are FTIR test on ramie fiber and CNT to see some functional groups as success parameters of the treatment, and bending test of the composite. The results of flexural test showed a decrease in flexural strength of the composite by 48.96%, 35.44%, and 6.31% on the addition of CNT 0.5%, 1%, and 3%. The composite results obtained are not yet feasible to be applied to the use of socket prosthesis.

In this research work an experiment on the application of fiber sensor for measuring an acoustic vibration has been carried out. A light beam from He-Ne laser source was into two arms of Mach tender Interferometer. Each arm of the interferometer was a piece of optical fiber with a length of 2 m. The beam transmitting through the sensing arm was modulated in phase by an acoustic vibration produced by a signal generator. The output of this fiber was interfered with the light radiated from the undisturbed fiber, the reference arm of the interferometer. A fringe counter measured a fringe shift due to the vibration of the acoustic signal. The measurement shows a good response in terms of the number of fringes with respects to the acoustic vibration in a frequency range of 10 Hz up to 40 Hz. It is concluded that the system is applicable to measure an acoustic vibration with an accuracy of 7 %.

Latar Belakang: Penyakit Hirschsprung (PH) adalah kelainan kongenital tersering yang menyebabkan obstruksi saluran cerna pada bayi dan anak-anak. Keberhasilan operasi PH dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, salah satunya adalah adanya kelainan histopatologik pada bagian proksimal reseksi rektosigmoid PH. Calretinin merupakan calsium binding protein yang memainkan peran penting dalam organisasi dan fungsi sistem saraf. CD117 merupakan reseptor permukaan tirosin kinase Kit (c-Kit) yang berperan penting pada perkembangan interstitial cells of Cajal. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik dengan desain potong lintang sediaan reseksi PH di Departemen Patologi Anatomik FKUI/RSCM selama periode Januari 2015 hingga Desember 2019. Pengambilan sampel penelitian dilakukan secara consecutive sampling dari kasus yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, didapatkan 14 kasus untuk masing-masing kelompok. Pemeriksaan imunohistokimia menggunakan antibodi calretinin dan CD117. Data imunoekspresi calretinin pada lamina propria dan CD117 pada lapisan submukosa, intramuskular dan intermuskular diperiksa dan dianalisis antara kelompok reoperasi dan non reoperasi. Hasil: Calretinin dan CD117 terekspresi pada sayatan proksimal reseksi PH. Tidak ditemukan ekspresi Calretinin pada lamina propria yang lebih tinggi pada kelompok non reoperasi dibandingkan kelompok reoperasi, dengan nilai p=0,339. Tidak ditemukan ekspresi CD117 pada lapisan submukosa, intramuskular dan intermuskular yang lebih tinggi pada kelompok non reoperasi dibandingkan kelompok reoperasi, dengan nilai p=0,246 pada lapisan submukosa, nilai p=0,910 pada lapisan intramuskular dan nilai p=0,541 pada lapisan intermuskular. Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat ekspresi calretinin dan CD117 yang lebih tinggi pada kelompok non reoperasi dibandingkan reoperasi, kemungkinan dikarenakan pada kedua kelompok tersebut sudah ditemukan ganglion pada batas proksimal operasi. ......Background: Hirschsprung’s disease is the most common congenital disorder that causes gastrointestinal obstruction in infants and children. The success of Hirschsrung’s disease surgery is influenced by many factors, one of which is the presence of histopathological abnormalities in the proximal part of the Hirschsprung’s disease rectosigmoid resection. Calretinin is a calcium binding protein that plays an important role inthe organization and function of the nervous system. CD117 is a surface receptor tyrosine kinase (c-Kit) that plays an important role in the development of interstitial cell of Cajal. Methods: This study is an analytical study with cross sectional design on Hirschsprung’s disease resection at the Department of Anatomic Pathology FKUI/RSCM during the period January 2015 to December 2019. Sampling was carried out by consecutive sampling from cases that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, obtained 14 cases for each group. Immunohistochemical examination using calretinin and CD117 antibodies. Data on calretinin immunoexpression in the lamina propria and CD117 immunoexpression in the submucosa, intramuscular and intermuscular layers were examined and analyzed between reoperation and non reoperation group. Result: Calretinin and CD117 were expressed in the PH resection proximal incision. There was no higher calretinin expression in the lamina propria in the non-reoperation group than in the reoperation group, with p value = 0.339. There was no higher expression of CD117 in the submucosal, intramuscular and intermuscular layers in the non-reoperation group than in the reoperation group, with p value = 0.246 in the submucosal layer, p = 0.910 in the intramuscular layer and p = 0.541 in the intermuscular layer. Conclusion : There was no higher expression of calretinin and CD117 in the non-reoperative group than the reoperative group, probably because both groups had ganglion found at the proximal margin of the operation.

Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan kritik sastra feminis yaitu kajian mengarahkan pada isu perempuan. Persoalan perempuan pada saat ini dapat dihadirkaan melalui gambaran perempuan di kehidupan masyarakat. Permasalahan yang akan dikaji dalam penelitian ini mengenai bagaimana citra perempuan Jawa dalam novel Ontran-Ontran Sarinem karya Tulus Setiyadi dan bagaimana relevansi perempuan dalam novel dengan perempuan ideal di Jawa. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini ialah memberikan gambaran citra perempuan Jawa dalam novel Ontran-Ontran Sarinem dengan implementasian citra perempuan ideal di Jawa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa teknik membaca, mencatat dan mengklasifikasi disertai menggunakan teknik showing dan telling. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan beberapa hal yaitu (1) bahwa citra perempuan dalam novel terbagi menjadi dua yaitu aspek citra fisik dan non fisik. Citra fisik digambarkan tokoh utama Sarinem sebagai perempuan yang memiliki kecantikan yang menawan, pandai merawat diri serta memilik postur tubuh yang proposional. Selanjutnya citra non fisik Sarinem merupakan sosok perempuan yang pasrah, emosi, dan mudah tergoda apabila dilihat dari aspek lingkungan keluarga dan masyarakat. (2) Relevansi citra perempuan yang tergambar dengan perempuan Jawa di serat Suluk Residriya. Hal itu sebagai bahan pembelajaran bagi perempuan dalam menghadapi permasalahan, agar tidak mendekati perilaku buruk. ......This research is related to feminist literary criticism, namely the study directs women's issues. Women's issues at this time can be presented through the description of women in people's lives. The problems that will be studied in this research are how the image of Javanese women in the novel Ontran-Ontran Sarinem by Tulus Setiyadi and how the relevance of women in the novel to the ideal woman in Java. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the image of Javanese women in the novel Ontran-Ontran Sarinem by implementing the image of an ideal woman in Java. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques include reading, recording and classifying techniques accompanied by showing and telling techniques. The results of this study conclude several things, namely (1) that the image of women in the novel is divided into two, namely aspects of physical and non-physical images. The physical image is described by the main character Sarinem as a woman who has charming beauty, is good at taking care of herself and has a proportional body posture. Furthermore, Sarinem's non-physical image is that of a woman who is submissive, emotional, and easily tempted when viewed from the aspects of the family and community environment. (2) The relevance of the image of women depicted with Javanese women in the Suluk Residriya fiber. This is a learning material for women in dealing with problems, so they don't approach bad behavior.
