"Pekerjaan petugas paramedis ambulans saat proses evakuasi pasien melibatkan pekerjaan pengangkatan (lifting task) dalam situasi yang darurat, sehingga berisiko menimbulkan gangguan muskuloskeletal seperti low back pain. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji lingkungan kerja dan aspek ergonomi yang mempengaruhi postur petugas paramedis tersebut dengan menggunakan metode simulasi pada lingkungan virtual. Model biomekanis (manekin) dari petugas disimulasikan dan dianalisis dengan metode LBA dan OWAS. Model kemudian diberi suatu perbaikan dengan menggunakan prinsip-prinsip ergonomi yang ada dan kemudian dianalisis kembali. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai bahan rekomendasi terhadap lingkungan kerja petugas operasional ambulans yang sesuai dengan aspek-aspek ergonomi.

The work of emergency medical technicians (EMT) during patient evacuation involves lifting task in an emergency situation, which results in the increasing risk of musculoskeletal disorders such as low back pain. The purpose of this research was to investigate the workplace and ergonomic aspect that influence work posture of the EMT using simulation approach in a virtual environment.

Biomechanic model (mannequin) of the EMT had been simulated and analyzed by using LBA and OWAS method. The mannequin was given an improvement based on ergonomic principle of manual lifting task and then was reanalyzed. The results of this research can be used as a recommendation to the work system of the EMT."
