Abstrak :
Libraries and librarians have been defined by the book throughout modern history. What happens when society increasingly lets print go in favour of storing, retrieving and manipulating electronic information? What happens after the book? After the Book explores how the academic library of the 21st Century is first and foremost a provider of electronic information services. Contemporary users expect today’s library to provide information as quickly and efficiently as other online information resources. The book argues that librarians need to change what they know, how they work, and how they are perceived in order to succeed according to the terms of this new paradigm. This title is structured into eight chapters. An introduction defines the challenge of electronic resources and makes the case for finding solutions, and following chapters cover diversions and half measures and the problem for libraries in the 21st century. Later chapters discuss solving problems through professional identity and preparation, before final chapters cover reorganizing libraries to serve users, adapting to scarcity, and the ‘digital divide’.

Abstrak :
This book constitutes the proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Similarity Search and Applications, SISAP 2012, held in Toronto, Canada, in August 2012. The 14 full papers presented in this volume, together with 2 demo papers and 2 invited talks, were carefully reviewed and selected from 19 submissions. The papers deal with many of the most relevant aspects of similarity searching and are organized in topical sections named, new scenarios and approaches, improving metric data structures, facing scalability issues, searching in specific spaces, and new similarity spaces.

Abstrak :
Electronic information is the core for electronic online transaction comprising electronic data, electronic message and electronic record, so that its protection is absolutely admitted as information which has the same status as paper based and signed document. Legal protection for electronic information will give legal certainly in the evidence framework if that electronic information fulfills requirements of validity, reliability and security. Electronic document gets security through the language of machine signature that is electronic siganture. Electronic signature appears because there is no standard method to sign a paper document containing certain writing, whether to use hand paper by using ink or other means. However, the authenticity of electronic document becomes an absolute thing to prevent conflicts in the future. In this online transaction, the authenticity becomes an absolute thing because although the transaction uses electronic documents, but the key concept or the core of evidence admission and the evidence value of electronic documents, which becomes the center of law is still the same as paper based documents.

Rekam medis merupakan sumber informasi kesehatan yang memerlukan manajemen data yang baik, informasi merupakan hal yang penting dalam penentuan kebijakan atau pengambilan keputusan. Pengelolaan rekam medis rawat jalan di UPT Puskesmas Kecamatan Cileungsi masih manual yang mengakibatkan banyak keterbatasan dan permasalahan. Permasalahan ini mengakibatkan ketidakmampuan mengolah data menjadi informasi yang dibutuhkan dengan cepat dan akurat. Tujuan penelitian adalah membuat rancangan sistem informasi rekam medis elektronik rawat jalan yang dapat memudahkan pengolahan data untuk dibuat menjadi informasi yang dibutuhkan. Pengembangan sistem informasi menggunakan metode Incremental dan Iterative, pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi, telaah dokumen dan wawancara. Penelitian ini menghasilkan desain logis sistem informasi rekam medis elektronik rawat jalan sesuai kebutuhan pengguna yang dapat menghasilkan informasi secara cepat dan akurat. Kecepatan arus informasi di puskesmas sangat membantu manajemen dalam pengambilan keputusan dan menjalankan fungsi perencanaan, monitoring dan evaluasi. Sistem informasi ini dapat di implementasikan dengan beberapa kondisi yang dapat menunjang terselenggaranya sistem dengan baik, yaitu tersedianya perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak sesuai dengan kebutuhan sistem informasi yang dikembangkan secara bertahap, pelatihan petugas serta dukungan manajemen berupa dana, kebijakan dan prosedur. ...... Information systems development using Iterative, Incremental method and data collection by means of observation, review of documents and interviews. This research resulted in the logical design of the information system of the electronic medical record outpatient, according the needs of users who are able to generate information quickly and accurately.
