Abstrak :
Pada tesis ini membahas Perancangan dan Analisa Efek Avalanche pada p-n junction. Efek Avalanche hanya dapat dilakukan pada keadaan reverse bias dan konsentrasi p-n juntion doping tinggi, sedangkan untuk mendapatkan lebar depletion layer yang lebih besar, diperlukan penambahan sebuah lapisan diantara p-n junction, yang gunanya untuk mendapatkan efek Penggandaan.
Akhirnya analisa dari proses Avalanche ini menghasilkan suatu kesimpulan bahwa Arus maksimum pada doping konsentrasi sekitar 1x1016 cm -3 adalah sekitar 4,7 Amper dengan Daya maksimum 290,5 Watt.
This thesis would be designed and analyzed about p-n junction with focus the Effect Avalanche. The Effect Avalanche only able to do in the reverse bias and high doping concentration. While for to get the wider depletion layer, needed to increase carrier multiplication effect.
Finally analysis of Avalanche process has obtain result that the maximum current on doping concentration 1x1016 cm -3 is about 4,7 Ampere with maximum power 290.5 Watts.
