ABSTRAK uku merupakan salah satu sumber utama yang dapat memberikan pengetahuan kepada ana-anak. Buku cerita anak sering dimanfaatkan sebagai sarana edukasi. Untuk dapat menyampaikan pesan dan tujuan dalam sebuah buku cerita, penulis juga dapat menggunakan majas tertentu. Majas ini digunakan dalam teks atau melalui perbincangan para tokoh. Jurnal ini membahas mengenai penggunaan gaya bahasa yang dominan digunakan di dalam buku cerita anak ?Een muts voor de maan? (2004) karya Sjoerd Kuyper dan Jan Jutte. Buku ini diperuntukkan bagi anak berusia 6 tahun ke bawah. Penelitian ini hanya membahas gaya bahasa personifikasi, paralelisme, repetisi, perbandingan, aliterasi dan tautologi.
ABSTRACT Books are one of the main sources able to pass knowledge to children. Children?s storybooks are often used for educational purposes. To present its messages and its aims, the writers can use various figures of speech. These figures of speech are used within texts e.g. through the conversations between the characters. This journal examines figures of speech that are frequently used in the Dutch children?s storybook ?Een muts voor de maan?(2004) by Sjoerd Kuyper and Juan Jutte. This book has been written for children up to the age of six years old. This research will only examine some figures of speech; namely personification, parallelism, repetition, comparison, alliteration and tautology., Books are one of the main sources able to pass knowledge to children.
