"Perubahan dari satu bentuk kesenian ke bentuk kesenian lainnya sudah lazim terjadi, terutama dari novel ke film. Perubahan ini menyebabkan suatu karya seni mengalami bentuk dan ekspresi berbeda. Dalam istilah teknis, perubahan bentuk yang terjadi ini disebut sebagai alih wahana. Beberapa istilah dikenal dalam alih wahana ini seperti ekranisasi, musikalisasi, dramatisasi, dan novelisasi. Dalam penelitian ini, analisis difokuskan pada ekranisasi yang terjadi dari novel Ranah 3 Warna ke dalam film ‘’Ranah 3 Warna’’ karya Guntur Soeharjanto. Dialihwahanakannya novel Ahmad Fuadi menjadi film menunjukkan bahwa tema perjuangan dalam mengubah nasib seseorang seperti yang tersurat dalam novel dianggap penting oleh Soeharjanto. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua perubahan, yaitu perubahan mayor dan perubahan minor. Perubahan mayor menunjukkan adanya keinginan pada sutradara film untuk mengubah hampir total sumber dalam novel dengan dugaan bahwa konsumsi bagi indra pandang-dengar berbeda dengan konsumsi bagi otak. Kemudian perubahan minor, dilakukan sutradara sebagai upaya untuk tetap setia kepada novel tetapi perlu disesuaikan dengan media yang dipergunakannya. Secara esensi, perubahan yang dilakukan oleh sutradara tidak mengubah inti alur novel.

The transformation from one art form to another are common, especially from novels to films. These changes cause a work of art to experience different forms and expressions. In technical terms, the shape change that occurs is referred to as vehicle transfer. Several terms are known in this transition, such as ecranization, musicalization, dramatization, and novelization. In this study, the analysis is focused on the ecranization that occurs from the novel Ranah 3 Warna into the film ‘’Ranah 3 Warna’’ by Guntur Soeharjanto. The conversion of Ahmad Fuadi's novel into a film shows that the theme of struggle in changing one's fate as written in the novel is considered important by Soeharjanto. The method used is descriptive-qualitative. The results showed that there were three changes, namely major changes, partial changes, and minor changes. The major change shows the desire of the film director to change almost the total source in the novel with the assumption that consumption for the sense of sight and hearing is different from consumption for the brain. Then minor changes are made by the director in an effort to remain loyal to the novel but need to be adapted to the medium he uses. In essence, the changes made by the director do not change the core plot of the novel."

"Penelitian ini menggunakan novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF yang telah dialihwahanakan atau yang mengalami ekranisasi menjadi film Layangan Putus karya Benni Setiawan. Tujuan penelitian ini mengungkapkan terjadinya proses alih wahana yang memaksa terjadinya penciutan, penambahan, dan variasi dari novel ke film. Berdasarkan analisis terhadap persamaan dan perbedaan antara novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF dan film serial Layangan Putus karya Benni Setiawan, penelitian ini menelusuri lebih jauh berbagai alasan dan pertimbangan terjadinya persamaan dan perbedaan itu. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif serta menguraikan alasan-alasan terjadinya perubahan akibat alih wahana dari novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF dan film serial Layangan Putus karya Benni Setiawan. Pengumpulan data dan analisis informasi berdasarkan teks yang terdapat dalam novel Layangan Putus, foto, atau gambar, video, rekaman suara dan hasil analisis ditemukan adanya penciutan, karena tidak mungkin semua novel ditambahkan dalam film, ada beberapa perkembangan, variasi agar keseluruhan film menjadi lebih menarik, itu semua tidak terlepas dari permasalahan komersial.

This research uses the novel Layangan Putus by Mommy ASF which has been translated or which has been ecranized into the film Layangan Putus by Benni Setiawan. The purpose of this study is to reveal the process of transfer of rides that forces the occurrence of reductions, additions, and variations from novel to film. Based on the analysis of the similarities and differences between the novel Layangan Putus by Mommy ASF and the film series Layangan Putus by Benni Setiawan, this study goes further than the various reasons and considerations for the occurrence of these similarities and differences. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method and describes the reasons for the changes as a result of the vehicle from the novel Layangan Putus by Mommy ASF and the film series Layangan Putus by Benni Setiawan. Data collection and analysis of information based on the text contained in the novel Layangan Putus, photos, or pictures, videos, sound recordings and others. the results of the analysis found that there was a shrinkage, because it was impossible for all novels to be added to the film, there were several developments, variations to make the whole film more interesting, it was all inseparable from commercial problems."
