Indonesia memiliki banyak kekayaan tradisional mulai dari Sabang sampai Merauke namun sangat disayangkan pengarsipan dari naskah dan tulisan ke bentuk video tidak diatur dengan baik Untuk mencegah dan menghindari hilangnya tradisi terutama dalam catatan tari dan legenda atau kisah dibaliknya harus segera dilakukan upaya pembuatan video dalam upaya untuk melestarikan ide ide budaya berbentuk nonmaterial di Indonesia 'CeriTari' merupakan prototype sebuah program dokumenter video dengan anggaran yang rendah namun memiliki semangat yang tinggi dalam rangka melestarikan kebudayaan tradisional Indonesia khususnya di catatan tarian dan kisah dibalik tarian yang ada di berbagai daerah seperti Betawi Dayak hingga Papua 'CeriTari' adalah sebuah proyek percontohan yang akan diajukan sebagai proposal untuk Kompas TV sebagai pipa distribusi yang peduli akan warisan budaya Indonesia Manfaat dan tujuan dari program 'CeriTari' adalah memberikan informasi serta pengenalan mengenai tarian tradisional dan cerita yang terkandung di dalamnya kepada khalayak Program ini memiliki tema besar yang secara tidak disadari tidak pernah lepas dari kehidupan sehari hari yaitu tari sehingga khalayak tertarik untuk menyaksikan program ini karena tarian merupakan sesuatu yang tidak pernah lepas dari kehidupan sehari hari. ...... ABSTRAK Pertumbuhan komoditas kopi di Indonesia membuat kesempatan kerja yang baru. Hal ini menciptakan peluang bagi perempuan untuk bekerja di industri kopi yang meliputi berbagai macam profesi. Fenomena ini membuktikan bahwa perempuan dapat memberdayakan diri mereka dalam industri yang dulu identik dengan maskulinitas. Di satu sisi anak muda di Indonesia saat ini banyak menghabiskan waktu menonton video online. Sementara itu tayangan online online dalam bentuk web series turut berkembang di internet. Akan tetapi tayangan dokumenter masih kurang populer di internet karena kurangnya jumlah konten tersebut. Oleh karena itu program ini dibuat dalam bentuk dokumenter dengan format web series dan disebarkan melalui Youtube. Tujuan dari program ini adalah untuk menambah tayangan dokumenter lokal di internet serta meningkatkan minat anak muda terhadap tayangan dokumenter Program ini membahas kehidupan perempuan pekerja kopi dengan menggunakan pendekatan feminis dan diproduksi dengan tehnik verite.

ABSTRACT The growth of coffee comodity in Indonesia opens new working opportunities. This creates a chance for women to work in the coffee industry that covers a wide range of professions and requires skills. This phenomenon proves that women can empower themselves in an industry that rhymed with masculinity On the other hand youngsters in Indonesia spends a lot of time watching online videos. Meanwhile online videos in the form of web series are growing on the internet However documentary is still less popular on the internet due to the small numbers of documentaries available. Therefore this programme is made as a documentary in the form of web series and shared via Youtube. The purpose of this program is to create more local documentary programme on the internet and to raise youngsters rsquo interest in documentary This programme will tell the lives of women coffee workers using feminism approach and will be produced with verite technique.

Abstrak :
Various endeavors to quest for ethnographic representation have been conducted to answer questions about authority and relationship between the ethnographer and its subject. This quest brought about issues of collaboration and reflexivity as important themes in the visual anthropology discourse. This paper is an effort to expose our experiences in doing anthropological research using documentary video. Collaboration, reflexivity and complicity are concepts that become our concern in a research project in Indramayu. What we did is a kind of possibility to create ethnographic representation through visual medium.

Abstrak :
The following personal and poetic inquiry examines Indonesian objects, art, and cultural expressions through the lensing of coloniality (A. Benítez Rojo 1992; A. Quijano and M. Ennis 2000; W.D. Mignolo 2011). The inquiry interacts with the objects, art, and cultural expressions through the creation of ekphrastic poetry – poems which describe works of art. Specifically, this inquiry examines my experiences with Dutch coloniality as a white cisgendered man with a Dutch heritage/inheritance who was born and raised in a predominantly Dutch immigrant community in West Michigan in the United States. Building from the work of Gloria Wekker and given my positionality, I am interested, “in the landscape that underlies the question, the cultural archive, and what it tells us about the continuities of the imperial construction of a dominant white Dutch self”(2016: 74). The personal, poetic aspects of this work engage the practices and experiences which have led me to where I am both in my professional and personal life. These aspects of my life within and beyond the academy allow me to examine histories critically and consider my entanglements with whiteness and within the matrix of coloniality of power through ekphrastic poetry.

Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman mengenai kondisi film dokumenter di Indonesia sebagai sebuah media alternatif, sebagai akibat dari keterbatasan dalam ruang eksebisinya. Keterbatasan ruang eksebisi tidak hanya secara fisik namun juga secara ide atau kebebasan ekspresi. Eksebisi merupakan muara dari dua tahapan sebelumnya yakni tahapan produksi dan distribusi. Masingmasing tahapan memiliki peran penting sebelum pada akhirnya dapat menikmati film dokumenter di ruang yang mudah diakses dan sejajar dengan media arus utama. Menggunakan metode kualitatif, film dokumenter dilihat sebagai media alternatif (Bailey, dkk, 2007), dengan ciri-ciri yang melekat, dan kemungkinannya menjadi sebuah produk industri budaya dalam kerangka kajian ekonomi politik berdasarkan struktur pasar melalui indikator-indikator dalam kebijakan perdagangan dan kebudayaan menurut Andrew Flibbert (2007). Dengan pendekatan kritis, film dokumenter dapat diagendakan untuk menyuarakan sebuah penolakan atas sebuah wacana dominasi dari pemilik kepentingan tertentu yang merugikan masyarakat. Dengan segala keterbatasan dukungan dari pemerintah dan pemilik media massa arus utama, film dokumenter digunakan komunitas dan kelompok masyakarat dalam menyampaikan sesuatu. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa film dokumenter masih terhambat dalam setiap tahapannya, pendanaan pada produksi, jalur distribusi, dan ruang eksebisi, yang semuanya berujung pada kebijakan pemerintah yang belum sepenuhnya diterapkan. ......This research is expected to provide an understanding of documentaries film in Indonesia as an alternative media as the result of the limitation of its exibition space. It is not only phisically limitation but also in the term of idea and expression freedom. The exibition is the end stage after film production and distribution. Every phase had important role before the film could be watched in the accesible space and be equal with the mainstream media. By qualitative method, documentary film is seen as an alternative media. (Bailey, et al., 2007), within the inherent characteristics as analysis tools and its possibility to be cultural industry production within the framework of the politic economy of media based on market structure through the trading and culture policy indicators applied, according to Andrew Flibbert (2007). By critical approach, documentary film could be used to express the rejection against a dominant discourse of certain party that takes advantage from society. Within all limited supporting from the government and mainstream media owners, the documentaries are used by community and society groups to express their opinion. This research uncovers that documentary film is limited in every phases, such as funding on production, distribution channels, and exibition space, and all of it due to government policies that do not fully implemented well.

Makalah ini mengkaji Chasing Asylum 2016 , sebuah film dokumenter yang disutradarai oleh Eva Orner, melalui analisis retorika untuk memeriksa persuasinya dalam menggambarkan masalah pencari suaka yang terjebak di pusat penahanan lepas pantai Australia. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga aspek retoris - Logos, Pathos, dan Ethos- yang akan digunakan untuk menganalisis substansi dokumenter dan teknik pembuatan filmnya. Ketiga aspek tersebut dikatakan sebagai cara terbaik untuk meyakinkan khalayak tentang budaya kerahasiaan, yang dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Australia, yang dimana merugikan pencari suaka di pusat penahanan. Studi ini kemudian menemukan bahwa analisis retoris efektif untuk membedah dan menguraikan pokok bahasan dalam dokumenter yang membentuk argumen visualnya menjadi cukup persuasif

ABSTRACT<>br> This paper studies Chasing Asylum 2016 , a documentary film directed by Eva Orner, through rhetoric analysis to examine its persuasion in portraying the issue of asylum seekers that are stuck in Australian offshore detention centres. The study uses three rhetorical aspects Logos, Pathos, and Ethos which will be employed to analyse the documentary rsquo s substance and its filmmaking techniques. The three aspects are claimed to be the best way in convincing the audience about the culture of secrecy, done by the Australian Government that harms the asylum seekers in detention centres. This study then finds that rhetorical analysis is effective to dissect and elaborate the matter subjects in the documentary that form its visual argument to be adequately persuasive.
