Abstrak :
Few thinkers of the latter half of the twentieth century have so profoundly and radically transformed our understanding of writing and literature as Jacques Derrida (1930–2004). Derridian deconstruction remains one of the most powerful intellectual movements of the present century, and Derrida’s own innovative writings on literature and philosophy are crucially relevant for any understanding of the future of literature and literary criticism today. Derrida’s own manner of writing is complex and challenging and has often been misrepresented or misunderstood. In this book, Leslie Hill provides an accessible introduction to Derrida’s writings on literature which presupposes no prior knowledge of Derrida’s work. He explores in detail Derrida’s relationship to literary theory and criticism, and offers close readings of some of Derrida’s best known essays. This introduction will help those coming to Derrida’s work for the first time, and suggests further directions to take in studying this hugely influential thinker.

This thesis is a reflective writing on Jacques Derrida?s ?Force de Loi: Le Fondement Mystique de l?Autorite?. Force de Loi intended to unveil the antagonistic face of modern law ? which born in modernism milieu. Justice, for modern law, is a gifted telos. Then, authority of law becomes the creator and caretaker of violence in wrapping ?justice as law?. Finally, law becomes cold and full of violence. So, using derridean deconstruction, this thesis has a goal to provide an alternative paradigm to break such colderness. Operated in socio-legal field, this thesis using ?content analysis? as method. Deconstruction celebrates plurality, and deny monolithic nuance in law.

......Formulation of justice has been very identical to something which is monumental, which has always been able to be referred by subject based on presupposition of the sensus communis. That presupposition has excluded the subject's perseptual consciousness by the justice conception, just like the utilitarianism, intuisionism, and contractarianism have done. This research tries to demonstrate how monumental jutice can no longer be preserved through Derrida's offer about justice, thus justice can be understood as its integrity with the subject's perceptual conciousness as the unstoppable stress and will be always present eventhough it has never been the fully one, which is the momentual justice. The aim of this research is to give a comprehensive understanding of the moment of justice. The author expect that this research can give enough locus for the dynamic of justice itself to prevent the violence on the subject which is caused by its stagnancy.
