ABSTRACT
Data acquisition system using diode array for a spectrometer has been designed and constructed. The light detection is performed by a photodiode array consisting of 512 photodiodes. The superior quantum efficiency of the detector and the direct increase of optical flux with photodiode electrons make it works as a very fast detector. This detector is supplemented with a charge-coupled device working as a shift register for the array, and as a result each light spectrum can be scanned in less than one minute.

The detecting subsystem is followed by a 12 bit analog to digital conversion module which operates at the speed of 26 uses. This data acquisition system is also equipped with an Z BO CPU controlled interface module for its data transfer to an IBM PC, to allow further processing and analysis of the data as well as its final display. In addition to each individual subsystem testing, the whole integrated system has also been tested with a known spectrum and the result is satisfactory.

Telah dibangun sebuah sistem aplikasi pengukuran temperatur jarak jauh dan terdistribusi dan diimplementasikan dengan bahasa pemrograman ASP. Net. Aplikasi berupa eksperimen pengukuran temperatur dengan menggunakan sensor temperatur. Dan tampilan dari eksperimen dapat dilihat pada web dari manapun asalkan terdapat koneksi internet. Sistem ini terdiri atas sebuah PC server yang terkoneksi pada jaringan internet, interfacing dengan menggunakan ethernet dan jaringan komputer yang ada. PC Server berfungsi sebagai web server yang mempunyai tugas memberikan layanan eksperimen kepada user dan menyimpan database. User mampu mendapatkan hasil pengukuran temperatur dari dua eksperimen yang telah dibuat. GUI web browser terdiri atas proses login, registrasi dan pemilihan eksperimen.Web ini telah dirancang untuk memudahkan user dalam menjalankan sistem eksperimen. Ethernet-DAQ digunakan untuk menjembatani hasil pengukuran dari sensor yang didapat dengan PC Server. Sistem ekperimen berbasis web telah diuji kapabilitas dan responsibilitas dengan melakukan eksperimen dari komputer user dan didapatkan suatu sistem pembelajaran eksperimen jarak jauh dan terdistribusi sesuai dengan tujuan.

Penggunaan peralatan pengkondisian udara di dunia selalu meningkat setiap tahunnya sejalan dengan pertumbuhan jumlah penduduk dunia. Sekitar 45% penggunaan listrik pada gedung maupun perumahan dibebankan pada peralatan pengkondisian udara (Air Conditioner). Untuk menekan beban konsumsi listrik, dibutuhkan regulasi yang mengatur mengenai labelling peralatan pengkondisian udara. Maka dari itu, ruang psikrometrik dirancang dan dibuat untuk melakukan pengujian pada peralatan tata udara. Ruang psikrometik adalah dua buah ruangan yang dapat mengkondisikan temperature, kelembaban relative, dan kecepatan aliran udara. Sistem ruang psikrometrik terdiri dari sistem sirkulasi air, sistem sirkulasi udara, dan sistem kontrol. Studi ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan ruang psikrometrik sehingga dapat memenuhi standar yang berlaku. Agar pengujian untuk pengkondisian udara dapat dilakukan, ruangan harus sesuai dengan standar variasi rata-rata error aritmatika ± 0,3 °C dan variasi maksimum ± 0,5 °C. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan variasi temperatur pada standar ISO 5151. Hasil perancangan dan pengembangan ini ruang psikrometrik mempunyai nilai variasi terbesar sistem berkisar ± 0.5 °C pada beberapa setpoint yang diujikan, hal ini memenuhi syarat dari standar yang berlaku. ......The use of air conditioning equipment in the world always increases every year in line with the growth of the world's population. Around 45% of electricity use in buildings and housing is charged to air conditioning equipment. To reduce the burden of electricity consumption, regulations governing the labeling of air conditioning equipment are needed. Therefore, a psychrometric chamber is designed and built to perform tests on air conditioning equipment. The psychrometric room is two rooms that can condition temperature, relative humidity, and air flow velocity. The psychrometric chamber system consists of a water circulation system, an air circulation system, and a control system. This study aims to design and develop a psychrometric room so that it can meet the applicable standards. Test for air conditioning must be carried out, the room must comply with the standard variation of the arithmetic mean error of ± 0.3 °C and the maximum variation of ± 0.5 °C. Data retrieval was carried out with temperature variations on the ISO 5151 standard. The results of this design and development of the psychrometric room have the largest system variation value ranging from ± 0.5 °C at several setpoints tested, this fulfills the requirements of the applicable standard.

Kombinasi antara sensor temperatur DS18B20 Waterproof dengan Arduino telah sering dimanfaatkan sebagai sistem data acquisition DAQ pada pengukuran temperatur karena penggunaannya yang mudah dan harga perangkat yang relatif murah. Arduino dapat menjadi perangkat data acquisition yang valid jika sensor yang digunakan terkalibrasi dengan baik. Pada penelitian ini, diusulkan metode kalibrasi sensor suhu DS18H20 Waterproof berbasiskan Arduino Uno menggunakan kalibrator Termometer ASTM 117C yang dapat ditelusur nilai kalibrasinya menggunakan media kalibrasi Oli di bejana terbuka. Pemilihan media oli bertujuan untuk mengurangi ketidakstabilan kondisi media sehingga kalibrasi dapat dilakukan. Sensor DS18B20 Waterproof yang akan dikalibrasi berjumlah 12 sensor disusun sedemikian rupa bersama kalibrator ASTM 117C agar titik-titik pengukuran memiliki kondisi yang sama. Rekayasa yang dilakukan adalah dengan mencari karakteristik penyimpangan temperatur media kalibrasi oli yang terukur pada sensor DS18B20 Waterproof terhadap termometer air raksa ASTM 117C. Karakteristik penyimpangan berupa persamaan garis yang didapatkan dengan metode regresi linier. Kalibrasi dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan temperatur lingkungan sebagai energi untuk mengalibrasi sensor. Sebelum proses kalibrasi didapatkan rata-rata error Sedangkan setelah dilakukan kalibrasi dengan metode kalibrasi yang diusulkan, sensor DS18B20 memiliki rata-rata error yang lebih kecil yaitu sehingga didapatkan sensor yang lebih akurat untuk selanjutnya dimanfaatkan untuk pengujian inkubator grashoff yang dikembangkan oleh Universitas Indonesia.
The combination between DS18B20 Waterproof temperature sensor and Arduino has been recently used as a data acquisition DAQ system on a temperature measurement for its easily used property and relatively affordable price. Arduino can be a valid data acquisition device if only the sensor is perfectly calibrated. This research proposed a calibration method for a temperature sensor DS18H20 Waterproof based on Arduino Uno using a thermometer calibrator ASTM 117C which value could be traced by a calibration medium of oil in an open surface bath. The election of oil as the medium is aimed to reduce its conditional instability so that the calibration could be done. There are 12 arranged DS18B20 waterproof sensors that will be calibrated alongside the ASTM 117C calibrator so that all the measurement points have the exact identical conditions. The engineering proses done to the system is to look for the small deviation characteristics of the oil temperature measured on the DS18B20 Waterproof sensor to the ASTM 117C mercury thermometer. The small deviation characteristics that presented as a linear equation is obtained by using a linear regression method. Calibration is done by using the ambient temperature as the energy to calibrate the sensors. The movement of ambient temperature will cause as temperature changing response on the medium oil and resulted a measurement points. DS18B20 waterproof sensors resulted a mean error of before any calibration begun. Meanwhile after the calibration using the proposed method, the DS18B20 sensor has a smaller mean error of , so that obtained a more accurate sensor to be used in testing of Grashof Portable Incubator made by University of Indonesia.

Current research trends in 3D Face recognition system requires a special hardware for fast capturing face image data from multi angle view. To support this research, we had designed and implemented an automatic image data acquisition system using multi-camera for capturing facial images from 5o different angle views, which spanned horizontally from 180° from left to right, and vertically from horizontal up to 70o above the face. The system was designed using 30 IP cameras that were mounted on two rigid steel arms that had the form of three quarter of a circle, the two steel arms formed the angle of 90° to each other. At each arm, 15 IP cameras were mounted with 5o spacing vertically to each others. This arm was driven by a DC motor which was controlled by a microcontroller and supervised directly by a laptop computer along with the data acquisition activities. The software for capturing images was designed using C# GUI programming language. The system had been working in good condition and image-data were saved in JPEG format. Time duration of capturing images data for one object face expression with 30 times capturing for the whole angle views, was only 3 minutes 44.5 seconds with total number of 16,650 images collected. The delay time between two cameras capturing was less than 1 sec. This project is aimed to support the 3D face recognition research in the department

This textbook is one of the first to explain the fundamentals and applications of remote sensing at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Topics include definitions and a brief history of payloads and platforms, data acquisition and specifications, image processing techniques, data integration and spatial modeling, and a range of applications covering terrestrial, atmospheric, oceanographic and planetary disciplines. The policy and law issues of remote sensing and the future trends on the horizon are also covered. Remote sensing is an exciting, dynamic technology that is transforming the Earth sciences - terrestrial, atmospheric, and marine - as well as the practices of agriculture, disaster response, engineering, natural resources, providing evidence in legal cases and documented humanitarian crises, and many other fields. Increasingly, understanding of these techniques will be central to a number of disciplines, particularly as the technology advances.

Tesis ini menjelaskan tentang peningkatan efektivitas manufaktur automobile terkait fenomena kegagalan kualitas dan performa mesin produksi. Perusahaan automobile merupakan salah satu industri yang banyak berdiri di berbagai negara. Hal ini dikarenakan automobile merupakan produk transportasi yang banyak dipakai baik untuk tujuan pengangkutan manusia maupun barang. Kualitas produk automobile yang buruk berdampak pada keselamatan pengguna, biaya pengeluaran tambahan, dan nama baik merk yang akan jatuh. Kemudian performa mesin produksi yang buruk akan mengganggu produktivitas internal sehingga akan berpengaruh terhadap kestabilan profit industri. Salah satu faktor penyebab kegagalan kualitas engine adalah pada saat proses pembersihan komponen engine sebelum perakitan. Permasalahan kualitas washing component pada manufacture engine assembling adalah proses washing yang belum efektif dikarenakan performa washing machine abnormal yang disebabkan aktivitas analisis predictive maintenance yang masih belum optimal, dan metode monitoring kualitas temperature water chemical 1x / hari sehingga tidak bisa mendeteksi abnormal kondisi water chemical yang berpotensi produk kualitas buruk akan flow out. Development SCADA system akan berfokus dalam dua hal yakni monitoring & control kualitas temperature water chemical dan monitoring equipment sebelum abnormal (predictive maintenance) secara real time. Metode monitoring & control dilakukan secara otomatis dengan menggunakan sensor sebagai pengambilan data, Programable Logic Controller sebagai Remote Terminal Unit kemudian data akan dikirim ke server melalui komunikasi CC-Link IE Field dan nantinya akan di rekam dan dianalisa melalui display SCADA. Kemudian akan dilakukan analisis investasi menggunakan break even Point (BEP) sebagai pertimbangan investasi dalam proses bisnis. Hasil dari penelitian dengan mengoptimalkan kualitas temperature water chemical dan performa mesin menggunakan SCADA system adalah efektif dengan kegagalan kualitas tidak terjadi dan performa mesin washing meningkat 96,2%. ......This thesis presents ways to increase the effectiveness of automobile manufacturing related to the phenomena of quality failure and production machine performance. Automobile companies are one of the many industries that exist in various countries. This is because automobiles are transportation products that are widely used both for the purpose of transporting people and goods. Poor-quality automobile products have an impact on user safety, Additional expenses, and brand reputation. Then the poor performance of production machines will disrupt internal productivity so that it will affect the stability of industrial profits. One of the factors causing engine quality failure occurs during the cleaning process of engine components before assembly. The problem with the quality of washing components in manufacturing engine assembling is that the washing process is not yet effective due to abnormal washing machine performance caused by predictive maintenance analysis activities that are still not optimal, and the method of monitoring the quality of water chemical temperature 1x/day means that it cannot detect abnormal water chemical conditions that have the potential to lead to bad quality products. The development of the SCADA system will focus on two things, namely monitoring and controlling the quality of water's chemical temperature and monitoring equipment before it becomes abnormal (predictive maintenance) in real time. The monitoring and control method is carried out automatically by using sensors for data retrieval and a Programmable Logic Controller as a Remote Terminal Unit. Then, data will be sent to the server via CC-Link IE Field Communication and will later be recorded and analyzed through the SCADA display. Then an investment analysis will be carried out using a break-even Point (BEP) as an investment consideration in business processes. The results of research show that optimizing the quality of temperature, water, chemicals, and engine performance using the SCADA system is effective, with quality failures not occurring and machine performance of washing process increasing by 96.2%.

Tomografi kapasitansi merupakan salah satu teknik visualisasi objek yang berdasarkan pada distribusi permitivitas dalam sensor. Distribusi permitifitas dapat dicari dari pengukuran kapasitansi antar pasangan elektroda. Penelitian dalam tomografi kapasitansi berhubungan dengan desain sensor yang di dalamnya terdapat sekumpulan elektroda beserta sistem elektroniknya atau yang dikenal dengan sistem akuisisi data berupa perangkat keras, dan rekonstruksi citra berupa perangkat lunak . Disertasi ini membahas tentang pengembangan akuisisi data dan metode pemindaian yang digunakan untuk tomografi volumetrik yang dikenal dengan nama Electrical Capacitance Volume Tomography ECVT. ECVT merupakan salah satu alat ukur instrumentasi yang khusus digunakan untuk aplikasi tomografi. Alat instrumentasi yang didesain ini menggunakan sensor kapasitif yang berbentuk tabung silinder sebanyak 64 elektroda. Untuk mengakomodasi sensor kapasitansi 64 elektroda diperlukan dua buah sistem akusisi data yang masing-masing sistem mampu menangani 32 elektroda.Dalam proses tomografi terdapat data akuisisi yang fungsinya untuk mengukur kapasitansi yang berasal dari sensor kapasitif. Data tersebut diperoleh dari proses pemindaian di mana dalam satu pengambilan data hanya terdapat satu pasang elektroda yang aktif. Pada umumnya, proses pemindaian ECVT menggunakan metode konvensional, yaitu mengaktifkan satu pasang elektroda dan mengukur sinyal kapasitansinya. Di dalam Disertasi ini diusulkan metode pemindaian baru yaitu metode pemindaian polaritas bertukar reverse polarity scanning method . Metode pengukuran ini adalah dengan cara membalik polaritas pada masing-masing elektroda yang aktif yaitu mengubah elektroda eksitasi menjadi deteksi dan sebaliknya mengubah elektroda deteksi menjadi eksitasi. Kemudian kedua metode pemindaian tersebut dibandingkan untuk melihat hasil performansinya. Simulasi dan eksperimen dilakukan menggunakan sensor kapasitif 64 channel dengan objek berupa batang silinder yang diisi dengan air. Dan juga dilakukan simulasi terhadap tiga buah objek bola untuk membandingkan kedua metode tersebut. Untuk mengevaluasi performansi sistem, digunakan objek statis untuk mengukur parameter-parameter seperti Mean Absolute Error MAE , Coefficient-Correlation R , dan observasi kualitas citra. Dari hasil simulasi dan eksperimen tersebut dihasilkan nilai rata-rata Coefficient-Correlation R sebesar 0.6 dan Mean Absolute Error MAE sebesar 0.2, sehingga metode yang diusulkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas citra sebesar 3.2. ......Capacitance tomography is one of image visualization technique based on permittivity distribution from capacitance measurement between electrode pairs inside the sensor. Research in capacitance tomography generally related to sensor design, electronics measurement hardware, and image reconstruction software. The dissertation explained the development of data acquisition and scanning method for volumetric tomography namely Electrical Capacitance Volume Tomography ECVT. ECVT is one of measurement instrument that is specifically used in tomography application. The design of the acquisition instruments used 8 8=64 electrodes capacitive sensor array in cylindrical shape. To accommodate all of electrodes we used two data acquisition systems which is capable to handle up to 32 electrodes, respectively.In tomography process, the data acquisition system measures the capacitance from capacitive sensors using scanning process by activating the electrode pairs. Generally, scanning process in ECVT uses conventional scanning by activating an electrode pair and measure the capacitance signal for the pair. This study proposes a new scanning process, by reversing the polarity of sensors in scanning method. The method is applied by changing the polarity of excitation electrode into detection electrode, and vice versa. Then, both of methods are compared to evaluate the performance of the acquisition system. Simulation and experiment are performed using 64 channel capacitive sensors with cylinder rods phantom filled with water, and three balls, as objects. To evaluate the performance of the ECVT system, static objects were used to measure parameters such as Mean Absolute Error MAE, Coefficient-Correlation R, and image qualitative observation. From the simulation and experiment, the Coefficient-Correlation R value as 0.6 and Mean Absolute Error MAE value as 0.2, so that the proposed method can improve image quality of 3.2 .
