Abstrak :
Skripsi ini berisi pembahasan tentang ungkapan-ungkapan yang terdapat dalam bab kemanusiaan Butir-Butir Budaya Jawa (BBBJ). Ajaran-ajaran moril tentang kehidupan dikemas dalam bentuk ungkapan dengan tujuan mempermudah penyampaian nasehat kepada generasi muda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari makna-makna yang terkandung dalam tiap ungkapan serta relevansinya dengan kehidupan masyarakat saat ini ditinjau melalui nilai-nilai budayanya. Dengan metode hermeneutik penulis menggunakan jalan interpresasi untuk mengungkap makna yang terkandung di dalamnya. Hasil analisis menyatakan bahwa nilai-nilai kemanusiaan dalam teks BBBJ masih dipertahankan keberadaannya oleh sebagian besar masyarakat Jawa dan kerap digunakan sebagai sarana penyampaian ajaran moril terhadap generasi muda.

This research will be explained about expression in Humanity chapter of Butir- Butir Budaya Jawa (BBBJ). The educations about life are wrapped into the meaning of expressions in order to make easier for giving suggestion to young generation. This research made, in order to find the meaning inside the expressions and find the relation with ordinary people living today by the culture values. With ?hermeneutik? method, the writer use interpretation way to find out the meaning inside. The result of the analysis shows that human values in BBBJ still exist. A way to explain by a half large Javanese people and there are still used as ?explanation? media about moralism education to the young generation.

Abstrak :
In line with the actual issue of globalization and other foreign cultural elements entering our country, an effort is required to strengthen our self identity and national defence. A solid national identity and a national with a high sustenance candynamically overcome threts, barriers, and challenges which endanger the existence and unity of this country. Foreign culture have been intruding our country and obsessing people in all aspects of life; consequently, our local culture is belittled and marginalized. The local culture values are related to ethics, esthetics, morality, religion, society and personal viewpoint which actually have to be maintained. Considering the above mentioned problems, the writer finds it necessary to make a research on the conservation of local culture values in order to strengthen our self-identity and national existence. Literature is considered a relevant means to conserve the local culture values. Literature can be used to develop, utilize, and disseminate local culture values; to express and record local culture values, to enhance, maintain, and socialize local culture values; and to grow the sense of appreciation and pride in this nation. As a result, the sustenance and existence of this nation can be strengthened. With this research, it is expected that men of literature will be encouraged to produce literature conceived with messages and loads of local culture values. Who else can do this, except us?

Skripsi ini berisi pembahasan tentang aspek-aspek mistis yang terdapat dalam upacara Adang di Kasunanan Surakarta. Aspek-aspek mistis tersebut terdapat dalam simbol, dan mitos yang terkait dengan upacara Adang tersebut. Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk mencari makna yang terkandung dalam setiap aspek mistisnya. Dengan teori religi Koentjaraningrat peneliti menggunakan jalan interpretasi untuk mengungkap makna yang terkandung di dalamnya. Hasil analisis menyatakan bahwa makna simbolis mistis dalam upacara Adang di Kasunanan Surakarta adalah adanya konsep legitimasi spiritual raja, yakni Paku Buwono.

This paper contains of review of mystical aspects in Adang ceremony in Kasunanan Surakarta. The mystical aspects are exist in symbol and myth that link with Adang ceremony. This research are aimed to find the meaning that exist in every mystical aspect. Moreover, researcher use the interpretation to find the meaning that are exist through Koenjtaraningrat religion theory. The results is found that TMSOAC.INKS, there is the king spiritual legitimacy concept, Paku Buwono.
