"Musik Pop Korea telah menarik perhatian dari berbagai negara dan dengan cepat menyebar ke seluruh dunia. Dance Challenge Musik Pop Korea berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap penyebaran viral musik ini, bahkan selama masa pandemi. Oleh karena itu, tantangan tarian telah menjadi keharusan bagi para artis Musik Pop Korea saat ini. Dalam penelitian ini, Penulis akan menjawab pertanyaan penelitian yang berkaitan dengan keterlibatan perjanjian lisensi hak cipta serta otoritas apa saja yang dimiliki oleh subjek yang terlibat dalam memulai tantangan tarian Musik Pop Korea. Penulis akan menjawab pertanyaan tersebut dengan meneliti hak-hak Artis yang juga bertindak sebagai Pencipta (Author) dan Artis yang hanya bertindak sebagai Pelaku (Performer) dalam memulai tantangan tarian tersebut berdasarkan perspektif hukum hak cipta di Indonesia dan Republik Korea.

Korean Pop music has been gathering a lot of attention from all over the countries and rapidly spreading throughout the world. The Korean Pop dance challenge contributed significantly to the viral spread of Korean Pop music even during the pandemic period. Due to that, the dance challenge has become a must for Korean pop artists nowadays. In this research, the Author will answer the research questions which are the involvement of copyright license agreement and what kind of authority the subject involved has to initiate the Korean Pop dance challenge. The author will answer the research by examining the rights of Artist who act also as an Author and Artist who only act as a Performer in initiating the dance challenge in the perspective of Indonesia and the Republic of Korea in the perspective of the copyright law of both countries which are Republic of Korea and Indonesia.
