"Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan identifikasi terbentuknya komunitas masyarakat kota, dengan fokus pada komunitas olahraga, yaitu komunitas futsal. Maraknya keberadaan tempat futsal sejalan dengan munculnya klub-klub futsal yang kemudian berkembang menjadi komunitas futsal di Kota Bandung. Konsep komunitas pada penelitian ini menekankan pada perasaan sebagai bagian dari komunitas, dan terlepas dari kesatuan/kedekatan geografis. Temuan penelitian adalah bahwa komunitas futsal terbentuk dari keinginan individu, kelompok serta perusahaan. Komunitas futsal di Kota Bandung dapat diidentifikasi berdasarkan tempat futsal dan kategori sosial (usia, jenis kelamin, pendidikan dan pekerjaan) serta karakteristiknya yang bersifat fun dan prestasi. Kedua karakteristik komunitas ini memiliki kesamaan pada bentuk ikatan bersamanya. Namun ada sedikit perbedaan dalam kriteria keanggotaan dan interaksi. Dalam mengidentifikasi komunitas olahraga futsal menggunakan pemahaman building community yang mencakup komunikasi (interaksi), hubungan sosial, sosialisasi nilai dan norma serta kohesi sosial. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara mendalam, FGD, studi literatur, dan metode triangulasi.

This research aims to describe the identification of urban communities, with a focus on sports community, the community of futsal. The rise of the existence of futsal place in line with the emergence of futsal clubs which later developed into a community of futsal in the city of Bandung. The concept of community in this study emphasizes the feeling as part of the community, and regardless of the geographical proximity. The findings of these studies is that futsal communities are formed from a desire individuals, groups and companies. Community futsal in Bandung, can be identify based on the futsal place and social categories (age, sex, education and occupation) as well as characteristics that are fun and achievement. Both these communities have a common characteristic in the form of bond but there was little difference in the criteria for membership and interaction. In identifying futsal community using building community that includes an understanding of communication (interaction), social relationships, socialization of values and norms and social cohesion. The research was conducted with qualitative methods. Data collection by observation, interviews, FGD, literatur study, and triangulation methods."
