"Kawasan bersejarah melalui berbagai proses restorasi dan revitalisasi, bertujuan untuk menguatkan citranya di tengah-tengah kemajuan teknologi. Meski jarang disadari, urban lighting atau pencahayaan urban adalah salah satu elemen yang paling berpengaruh terhadap aktivitas manusia di malam hari. Pencahayaan urban dapat menjadi salah satu kunci agar kawasan bersejarah dapat mempertahankan atau bahkan memperkuat citranya pada malam hari. Penulisan skripsi ini bertujuan untuk memahami peran pencahayaan urban pada kawasan bersejarah dan pengaruhnya terhadap citra yang ditangkap oleh pengunjung. Metode yang dilakukan adalah studi teori pada literatur, serta observasi lapangan dan survey. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan warna dan teknik pencahayaan yang menyorot detail dari suatu elemen dapat menonjolkan karakter elemen tersebut dan menguatkan citranya. Kesinambungan pada pencahayaan urban yang membentuk sebuah cerita dan tujuan akan memperkuat citra kawasan bersejarah.

Historical sites have gone through various process of restoration and revitalization to strengthen its image. As the technology advances, urban lighting has become one of the elements that influences human activity at night. It is one of the key elements to help historical sites keep or even strengthen their image at night.

This research aims to help people understand the role of urban lighting in historical sites and how it influences the image captured by visitors. The methods used in this thesis are theoretical studies by literatures, field observation, and survey.

The result shows how application of colors and other lighting techniques that highlight details of an element in the site would bring out its character and strengthen its image. Integrated urban lighting that creates a story of the site will bring out more identity and strengthen the image of the historical site."

"Pada perancangan kawasan Sawah Besar yang akan datang, terdapat gerbang 4 Stasiun MRT pada garis batas deliniasi kawasan yang direncanakan pada perancangan. Dengan adanya Stasiun MRT, hal tersebut mendorong kawasan Sawah Besar menjadi kawasan yang mengacu pada konsep TOD (Transit Oriented Development) yang memberikan banyak keuntungan bagi Kota maupun masyarakat baik dalam bentuk sarana moda transportasi maupun lingkup sosio-ekonomi yang ada pada konteks makro dan mikro pada kawasan khususnya Sawah Besar. Pada sisi yang lain, kondisi eksisting yang ditempati oleh gerbang 4 stasiun Sawah Besar membutuhkan pengembangan citra kawasan sebagai persiapan dalam mewadahi masyarakat publik sebagai pengguna MRT dan transportasi umum lainnya. Menanggapi hal tersebut, perancangan pada Masterplan kawasan menyimpulkan pentingnya penerapan konsep COD (Community Oriented Development) yaitu membuat kawasan yang dapat mengumpulkan serta mengolah masyarakat dari berbagai kalangan agar Stasiun MRT dapat beroperasi aktif secara maksimal. Perencanaan kawasan terdapat beberapa kavling yang memliki fungsi berbeda-beda namun tetap terintegrasi satu sama lain dengan mengacu pada konsep kawasan COD. Pada kavling 12 yang merupakan lokasi proyek perancangan bangunan, difungsikan sebagai sarana Sekolah agar dapat menciptakan komunitas yang aktif beraktivitas. Selain itu, diketahui pula otomotif dan merupakan citra yang harus dipertahankan dari kawasan Sawah Besar ini, namun hal tersebut bertentangan dengan peraturan Pergub Nomor 67 yang melarang adanya aktifitas transaksi otomotif pada kawasan TOD. Untuk itu, pada proyek perancangan ini menawarkan solusi permasalahan dengan merencanakan Hyundai Future Mobility School sebagai sekolah yang mempelajari terkait perancangan mobilitas yang efesien serta akan berguna untuk masa depan yang mecakup cara bertransportasi yang dapat mengurangi resiko kemacetan.

In the future plan of the Sawah Besar area, there are 4 MRT Station gates on the delineation of the planned area in the design. With the MRT Station, it encourages the Sawah Besar area to become an area that refers to the concept of TOD (Transit Oriented Development) which provides many benefits for the City and the Community both in the form of transportation modes and the socio-economic scope that exists in the macro and micro context in the area, especially Sawah Besar. On the other hand, the existing conditions occupied by the gate of 4 Sawah Besar stations require the development of the image of the area in preparation for accommodating the public as MRT users and other public transportation. In response to this, the design of the area Master Plan concludes the importance of applying the concept of COD (Community Oriented Development), which is to create an area that can gather and process people from various groups so that the MRT Station can operate actively to the fullest. The planning area has several lots that have different functions but are still integrated with each other by referring to the concept of the COD area. In lot 12, which is the location of the building design project, functions as a school facility in order to create an active community. In addition, automotive is also known and is an image that must be maintained from this Sawah Besar area, but this is contrary to the regulation of Pergub Nomor 67 which prohibits automotive transaction activities in the TOD area. For this reason, this design project offers a solution to the problem by planning the Hyundai Future Mobility School as a school that studies the design of mobility that is efficient and will be useful for the future which includes ways of transportation that can reduce the risk of congestion."
