Sejak krisis monster pada Juli 1997, yang diikuti dengan krisis ekonomi, politik dan sosial, Indonesia mengalami perubahan struktur kemasyarakatan yang drastis, yang dikenal dengan istilah ?Reformasi?. Idealisme atau cita-cita, Reformasi adalah perubahan dan Tirani ke Demokrasi. Tetapi dalamm kenyataannya, yang terjadi adalah anarki. Buntut dari anarki adalah berkembangnya. boss-boss kecil di segala lapisan masyarakat, seperti yang pernah dan masih terjadi di Philipina yang intinya. tidak lain adalah hedonisme dan kekerasan. Gejala ini coba, dijelaskan melalui beberapa teori psikologi sosial, namun bagaimanapun, proses ini harus dan sedang dilalui oleh bangsa Indonesia dan dibutuhkan walau cukup lama sebelum bangsa ini sampai kepada sistem demokrasi yang mapan. Dalam hubungan ini peran Polri sebagai aparat penegak hukum sangat diperlukan untuk mempercepat proses menuju demokrasi (masyarakat madani) di negeri ini dan mencegah akses yang tidak dikehendaki.

Berbagai sensor tekanan dengan memanfaatkan defleksi pada diafragma, telah terdapat dalam kehidupan kita sehari-hari.

Pada skirpsi ini, dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menunjukkan bahwa sensor tekanan kapasitif dengan menggunakan diafragma center boss memiliki non lineantas yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan diafragma konvensional, yaitu diafragma lingkaran. Usaha untuk meningkatkan sensitivitas dilakukan dengan memperkecil nilai jarak antar pelat awal (do), sehingga didapatkan sensor tekanan cenrer boss memiliki sensitivitas dan non linearitas yang lebih optimal dibandingkan dengan sensor konvensional. Selain itu pada skripsi, dilakukan perancangan dan perencanaan fabri kasi sensor tekanan dengan diafragma center boss.

Pada penelitian ini, berbagai parameter sensor tekanan dengan menggunakan center boss disimulasikan memakai program MathCad. Dari hasil simulasi dapat disimpulkan bahwa sensor tekanan center boss yang dirancang untuk tekanan 0-12000 Pa memiliki sensitivitas 2,52 E-14 F/kPa dan non Iinearitas 3,68 E-5.

Tipe Korosi yang terjadi pada Baling-baling Kapal Laut (propeller) yang terbuat dari paduan Mangan Bronze adalah tipe Korosi Kavitasi. Bentuk Korosi Kavitasi ini cenderung dialami lebih banyak oleh komponen-komponen yang mempunyai kecepatan tinggi dalam fluida, daripada dalam pipa atau tangki tempat fluida mengalir didalam permukaan logam yang diam. Penelitian Korosi pada Baling-baling Kapal Laut (propeller) dilakukan dengan cara studi perpustakaan, kasus dan eksperimen. Dari hasil pengamatan pemasangan Boss Cap Fins (BCF) pada Hub propeller yang diteliti ternyata pemasangan Buss Cap Fins lebih menguntungkan dalam segi efisiensi dan susut berat bila dibandingkan dengan pemakaian "Cap Standard". Hasil pengamatan "SEM-EDAX" terlihat bentuk korosi kavitasi yang terjadi pada Baling-baling Kapal Laut (propeller) yang terbuat dari paduan Mangan Bronze, Waktu operasi: 5 tahun, merupakan kombinasi antara Korosi Erosi dan Korosi Lubang (pitting), dan umumnya paduan ini sangat tahan terhadap unsur Cl (Chiorida).
Corrosion type which exists in ship propeller made from Manganese Bronze Alloys is cavitation corrosion type. This corrosion type tends to appear more in components used in high speed fluids than in pipe or tanks when the fluid stay. The research were performed by library search, caused experiments. The observation of the installator at Boss Cap Fins (BCF) in fluid propeller showed that the installation is more efficient and light weight than the use of standard Cap. The observation with "SEM-EDAX" showed that cavitation corrosion appeared at ship propeller made from Manganese Bronze Alloys used for five years the corrosion in a combination between erosion and pitting corrosion. This type at Alloy has high resistance against CI.
