This undergraduate thesis discusses about five Indonesian women who write their travels through travel blogs. Five Indonesian female travel writers write in four different blogs, and they are Saphira Zoelfikar and Murni Amalia, the owners of Indohoy, Debby Leksono with the travel blog titled Debbzie, Agata Filiana with the travel blog titled Dream Explore Wander, and Marischka Prudence with the travel blog titled Life is an Absurd Journey. The main approaches of this research are gender theory and travel writing theory. This research aims to reveal how female travel writers assess their own writings, how the works of female travel writers reflect their views in viewing themselves as female-gendered travel writers and travelers, how the works of female travel writers reflect their travel experiences which can shape their femininity, and their femininity which can shape their travel experiences. By conducting literary study and interviews, this study tries to achieve those three objectives. From this study, the author has concluded that writings may reflect that travel experiences help shaping women’s femininity and women’s femininity can help shaping their travel experiences."

"From the millions of people with a conviction or cause they're eager to share with like-minded readers, to the thousands of corporations looking for a more effective and reliable way to build trust-based relationships with their customers, it's no wonder that an astonishing 80,000 new web logs -- -- or "blogs" -- are appearing daily. Unfortunately, this includes employees who might reveal confidential company information, and even official corporate blogs that could potentially misrepresent company finances. Everyone, it seems, is blogging, and any organization that fails to take advantage of this exciting new platform, while also protecting itself from legal liabilities as well as critical or defamatory remarks, is sure to suffer the consequences. Blog Rules is a best-practices guide to establishing the blog-related policies and procedures your business needs. You'll learn how to: * Legally and ethically regulate employees' personal blogs that mention the company * Protect trade secrets and other proprietary information * Manage the legal and business exposure associated with corporate blogs * Respond swiftly and effectively to blog assaults against the company -- and much more."

"Blogs and tweets, texting and friending : social media and online professionalism in health care summarizes the most common mistakes, and their legal and ethical ramifications, made in social media by busy health care professionals. It gives best practices for using social media while maintaining online professionalism. The book goes on to identify categories of caution, from confidentiality of patient information and maintaining the professional's privacy to general netiquette in tweeting, texting, blogging, and friending. And it guides you in setting up a faculty page (or choosing not to) and managing your online footprint.
The connected generation regularly uses social media, including health care professionals, but what happens when a patient wants to friend you? Or when you've already posted a rant on a patient that gets viewed by others? What information may already be floating on the Internet that a patient may find about you in a Google search and that might impact your therapeutic relationship?

"Keeping up with the ever-growing Web, along with professional resources and information for customers, can be an overwhelming challenge for busy librarians. Combine that with the fact that up to 60 percent of web data is "invisible" to search engines, and suddenly staying current seems like a losing battle, without enough hours in the day. What if you could keep current in one hour per day or less? What if you didn't have to surf? What if the information you selected proactively arrived in your inbox? What if you had effective sorting and saving tools to capture your preferred portion of this flood of data? Illustrating ways to overcome the daunting deluge of information, author and librarian Steven Cohen shows you how to use all the new cool tools. An early adapter and passionate proponent of cutting-edge technology to access and organize information, Cohen is the librarian's very own web guy search engine."
