Abstrak :
ABSTRAK Perayaan Sinterklaas merupakan tradisi khas Belanda yang sangat populer. Perayaan Sinterklaas mulai mendapat banyak kritikan dan menimbulkan perdebatan di Belanda dengan adanya figur Zwarte Piet. Pada facebook terdapat sebuah laman yang mengampanyekan protes terhadap figur Zwarte Piet karena dianggap sebagai bentuk rasisme terhadap orang kulit hitam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menunjukan oposisi biner antara kelompok pro dan kontra Zwarte Piet pada komentar laman facebook Zwarte Piet is Racisme. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kelompok pro Zwarte Piet memandang kelompok kontra Zwarte Piet yang kebanyakan merupakan kelompok pendatang sebagai penyebab munculnya perdebatan mengenai Zwarte Piet. Anggapan kelompok kontra Zwarte Piet sebagai pendatang mengindikasikan masih adanya penolakan terhadap kelompok pendatang dari penduduk Belanda asli dalam struktur masyarakat Belanda.

Sinterklaas is a very popular Dutch tradition. The celebration of Sinterklaas began to receive a lot of criticism that is causing a debate in the Netherlands because of Zwarte Piets existence. On facebook, there is a page for a campaign protest against Zwarte Piet because it is considered as a form of racism. This study aims to show the binary opposition between the pros and cons of the existence of Zwarte Piet shown by the comments on the facebook page Zwarte Piet is Racisme. This current research shows that the pro side of Zwarte Piet sees the cons side which mostly consisted of immigrants as the cause of the current dispute over Zwarte Piet. This presumption that the cons side are mostly immigrants indicated the engrained rejection targeted at the immigrants by the native Dutch people in Dutch society structure

Abstrak :
Depictions of human reproduction is found in many megalithic buildings. The magical reproductive function is often equated between the phallus and the vulva. It tends to occur in communities that no longer has a cultural context that is consistent with the idea of megalithics. for it is very important to do a review of reproductive function approach to the concept of the symbols and the binary opposition. This is done considering means of reproduction Aas a symbol that has a different function with each other. Moreover, the concept of binary opposition developed until now.

Novel Andrew and Joey, A Tale of Bali dan The Java Man keduanya merupakan karya Jamie James, seorang penulis berkebangsaan Amerika. Masing-masing novel menampilkan representasi tentang Bali serta representasi tentang Jawa yang sarat dengan muatan politis Amerika, yang menaklukan, menjinakkan atau mengecilkan Timur. Melalui analisis yang mempergunakan pendekatan pascakolonial Edward Said, diperlihatkan bagaimana ideologi orientalisme pengarang bekerja melalui pemilihan tokoh-tokoh yang menjadi vokalisasi novel serta bagaimana tokoh-tokoh tersebut ditampilkan. Tokoh-tokoh ini kemudian menjadi suara bagi Timur dalam novel Andrew and Joey, A Tale of Bali, karena dalam novel ini tokoh dari Bali sama sekali tidak diberi kesempatan untuk bersuara. Meski novelnya yang kedua, The Java Man menampilkan suara dari Timur, namun suara yang keluar adalah pengukuhan dari oposisi biner antara Timur dan Barat, dengan posisi yang dominan dipegang oleh Barat.

Andrew and Joey, A Tale of Bali and The Java Man, both are the works of an American writer, Jamie James. Each novel produces the representations of Bali and Java, loaded with American politics, which conquers, demeans or belittles fast. By applying Edward Said's postcolonial approach, it is shown how the writer's orientalism works. By creating and selecting the characters which in turn becoming the.el's vocalization, the representation of Bali in Andrew and Joey, a Tale of Bali, is produced. This is then becomes the only voice of Bali since the Balinese in this novel comes to the reader only through the American's point of view. In the second novel, the Javanese is given the chance to speak But the voice which comes out then became the validation of the binary opposition between the East and the West, in which the West holds the dominant position.

Tenki no ko, anime karya Masashi Kishimoto, menceritakan tentang dua remaja yang berjuang bertahan hidup sendiri di Tokyo. Kedua remaja tersebut bernama Hina dan Hodaka. Takdir mempertemukan mereka berdua di Tokyo yang saat itu tengah dilanda oleh anomali cuaca yang membuat Tokyo terus-menerus diguyur hujan. Kedua tokoh tersebut dapat menjadi objek penelitian yang menarik untuk dikaji, selain karena mereka berdua merupakan tokoh utama dalam anime ini, tokoh Hodaka dan Hina juga merupakan penggerak dalam narasi anime ini. Segala konflik dan penyelesaian dalam anime ini muncul karena kehadiran satu sama lain antara tokoh Hodaka dan tokoh Hina. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan menggunakan teori psikologi analitikal Carl Gustav Jung. Carl Jung dalam teori psikologi analitikalnya menjelaskan tentang Collective Unconscious atau ketidaksadaran kolektif yang diwariskan secara turun temurun dari generasi ke generasi. Dalam proses turun temuru tersebut, ada pola-pola yang menjadi template yang disebut Arketipe. Arketipe pada dasarnya merupakan oposisi biner, seperti Persona-Shadow, Animus-Anima, Old Wise Man-Great Mother. Berdasarkan penelitian yang menggunakan teori Collective Unconscious tersebut, kita dapat melihat kehadiran Hodaka dan Hina mempengaruhi satu sama lain. Hodaka membuat Hina mengoptimalkan kemampuannya dalam memanipulasi cuaca sehingga ia menjadi “Sunshine Girl”. Di satu sisi, kehadiran Hina dapat membuat Hodaka yang kekanak-kanakan menjadi dewasa sehingga kita dapat melihat hubungan kausalitas pada kedua tokoh utama tersebut. ......Tenki no ko, an anime by Masashi Kishimoto, tells the story of two teenagers who struggle to survive alone in Tokyo. The two teenagers are named Hina and Hodaka. The fate brought the two of them together in Tokyo, on which at that time was hit by a weather anomaly that made Tokyo constantly rainy. These two characters can be an interesting research objects to study, apart from being the main characters in this anime, the main characters Hodaka and Hina are also the driving force in the narrative of this anime. All conflicts and resolutions in this anime arise because of each other's presence between Hodaka's character and Hina's character. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach and uses the analytical psychology theory of Carl Gustav Jung. Carl Jung in his analytical psychology theory explains about the Collective Unconscious which is passed down from generation to generation. In the hereditary process, there are patterns that become templates called archetypes. Archetypes are basically binary oppositions, like Persona-Shadow, Animus-Anima, Old Wise Man-Great Mother. Based on the research that uses the Collective Unconscious theory, we can see that the presence of Hodaka and Hina affects each other. Hodaka makes Hina optimize her ability to manipulate the weather so that she becomes a "Sunshine Girl". On the one hand, Hina's presence can make the childish Hodaka mature so that we can see the causal relationship between the two main characters.

Penelitian ini membahas sebuah karya sastra tahun 1929 yaitu cerpen yang berjudul Suami Istri (夫妇 Fūfù) karya Shen Congwen. Cerpen ini berkisah tentang penangkapan sepasang lelaki dan perempuan yang dikira bertindak asusila, dan baru diketahui belakangan bahwa mereka adalah sepasang suami istri. Dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan penangkapan dan tuduhan, hadir dua pendapat dari penduduk desa dan orang kota yang kebetulan sedang berlibur di desa itu. Beberapa penelitian terdahulu menunjukkan adanya perbedaan pendapat antara orang desa dan kota, namun tidak membedah rinci seperti apa saja perbedaan itu muncul, dan juga mengarah pada kajian oposisi biner. Karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mengisi rumpang penelitian dengan menghadirkan perbedaan pendapat tersebut dengan mengemukakan oposisi biner yang nampak dari cerita dengan menggunakan teori oposisi biner untuk menemukan dikotomi orang kota dan desa tersebut. Siapa yang menjadi penentu penyelesaian kasus penangkapan ini, juga akan diungkap dalam penelitian ini. ......This research discusses a literary work in 1929, namely a short story entitled Husband and Wife (夫妇 Fūfù) by Shen Congwen. This short story revolves around the arrest of a man and a woman who were suspected do something immorally, afterwards, it turns out that they are husband and wife. In resolving the issue of capturing and punishing, there were two opinions from the villagers and the town man who was having a vacation in the village. Several previous studies have shown that there are differences of opinion between urban and rural people, but do not dissect in detail how these differences arise, and in this case also lead to a study of binary opposition. Therefore, by proposing a binary opposition that appears from the story, this research aims to fill the gap by presenting these differences of opinion using binary opposition theory to find the dichotomy of urban and rural people. The key person who will solve of this case, will also be revealed in this research.
