ABSTRACT
One of the common problems for couples in long-distance relationships is jealousy. Individuals cognitive assessment and emotional reactions to jealousy are influenced by their style of attachment. Attachment style also affects the way individuals express jealousy. Previous studies suggested that individuals with anxiety attachment experience extreme jealousy, and associated with cognitive, emotional, and behavioral jealousy. Aside from attachment style, dyadic coping also has a role in influencing jealousy. Support from partner can reduce individuals stress. When individuals use dyadic coping, individuals jealousy can reduce. Individuals with anxiety attachment worry their partner will not response when they needed, so they do not involve their partner in coping and individuals jealousy are not resolved. However, individuals can use dyadic coping, if their partner show attention and supportive behavior. This study aims to examine the role of dyadic coping as a moderator in the relationship between anxiety attachment with cognitive, emotional, and behavioral jealousy in individuals undergoing long-distance relationships. Anxiety attachment was measured using the Experience in Close Relationship Questionnaire-Revised (Fraley, Brennan, and Waller, 2000); cognitive, emotional, and behavioral jealousy were measured using the Multidimensional Jealousy Scale (Pfeiffer and Wong, 1989); and dyadic coping was measured using the Dyadic Coping Inventory (Bodenmann, 2008). A total of 156 individuals participated in this study. Result showed a significant positive relationship between anxiety attachment and jealousy. Dyadic coping, however, was not found to be significant in its role of moderating the relationship between anxiety attachment and jealousy.

Satisfaction in long distance relationships is influenced by various factors, including attachments and dyadic coping. Individuals with anxiety attachment are relatively difficult to achieve a satisfying relationship, especially in the condition when their partner is separated by distance with them. The study was conducted to see whether common dyadic coping and negative dyadic coping have a moderating role in the relationship between anxiety attachment and relationship satisfaction. Data is obtained using the Experience in Close Relationship-Revision (ECR-R) to measure anxiety attachment, Dyadic Coping Inventory (DCI) to measure common and negative dyadic coping, and Relationship Assessment Scale (RAS) to measure relationship satisfaction. Research conducted on 270 young adults found that there is a significant negative relationship between anxiety attachment and relationship satisfaction (r = -0.511, p <0.01). However, no moderating effects of common dyadic coping and negative dyadic coping are found in this research(p> 0.05). The duration of attachments, the status of the relationships, and separation with partner are considered to be factors that influence the result."

Loneliness among students is increasing and has reached the status of a global concern. Previous research found that fulfillment of the need for relatedness is related to loneliness and insecure attachment, which are strong predictors of loneliness. This research is correlational design and aims to look at the mediating role of fulfilling the need for relatedness in the relationship between attachment anxiety and avoidance and loneliness in students in Indonesia. The three research instruments used include (1) University of California Los Angeles Loneliness Scale Version 3 to measure loneliness Zulkifli, 2021); (2) Basic Psychological Needs Satisfaction Scales to measure the fulfillment of the need for relatedness (Ryan & Deci, 2001); and Experience in Close Relationships-Global Version (Khadijah, 2021) to measure attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance. The sample for this study came from 134 students with an average age of 21 years (M= 20.92%) and length of study of 8 semesters (M= 40.3%). The results show that need for relatedness satisfaction acts as a partial mediator in the relationship between attachment anxiety (β= 0.610; SE= 0.088; p<0.05) and attachment avoidance (β= .934 SE= 0.114; p<0.05) with loneliness. The research has implications for developing preventive and intervention efforts for loneliness among students.

The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic is a stressor for individuals that has the potential to increase susceptibility to experiencing depressive symptoms. Based on the literature review, romantic relationships can be a resource in dealing with depression through a stable social support network in the relationship, primarily if the social support is conceptualized as perceived social support. However, perceived social support is a complex phenomenon and can be determined by individual factors such as attachment styles since attachment style will affect individual expectations and preferences for social support. This study examines perceived social support as a mediator of attachment style and depressive symptoms among young adults in Indonesia in a romantic relationship. A total of 279 participants completed the Experiences in Close Relationships-Revised to measure the level of attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support to measure the perceived social support, and Center for Epidemiologic Studies-Depression to measure reports of depressive symptoms. The results showed that the effect of the attachment style (through the level of attachment anxiety and the level of attachment avoidance) on depressive symptoms was partially mediated by perceived social support. Differences in gender and the type of relationship (premarital and marital relationship) were also significant covariates in both mediation models."

This study examines whether the insecure attachment (anxiety attachment and avoidance attachment) affects the self-gifting behavior either as a reward or to overcome personal disappointment. This study used the descriptive research method, single-cross sectional design, and Google Forms self-administered questionnaire with a likert scale of 1-6, that conducted on 150 respondents obtained through purposive sampling by screening on the consumers who have done self-gifting within a month. The data was then processed and carried out using SmartPLS 3.0. This study's results indicate that attachment anxiety and avoidance attachment affects the likelihood to engage in self-gifting for personal disappointment. The anxiety attachment is also proven to affect the likelihood to engage in self-gifting for the reward. Meanwhile, the avoidance attachment is not proven to affect the likelihood to engage in self-gifting for the reward

Prior studies have proven how codependency is rooted in childhood as a strategy to cope with trauma. Codependency is also closely related to attachment styles that were formed in childhood and persist over time. This research aims to investigate how adverse childhood experiences (ACE) can predict the development of codependency among young adults by performing regression tests on the attachment-related anxiety and attachment-related avoidance as mediating variables. In this study, codependency was measured using the Spann-Fischer Codependency Scale (SFCS; Fischer et al., 1991), attachment was measured using Experiences in Close Relationships–Relationship Structures (ECR-RS; Fraley et al., 2011), and ACE was measured using Childhood Trauma Questionnaire–Short Form (CTQ-SF; Bernstein et al., 2003). This study involved 204 young adults aged 18-40 years (M = 23.89, SD = 4.73). The results showed that ACE had a direct effect that could predict the development of codependency (β = 0.12, SE = 0.04, p = 0.00). In addition, it was also found that attachment-related anxiety could mediate the effect of ACE on codependency (β = 0.08, SE = 0.02), while it was not found in attachment-related avoidance (β = 0.00, SE = 0.00)."
