"Artikel ini membahas peran akun Twitter @literarybase dalam meningkatkan minat baca pengikutnya. Akun @literarybase adalah akun berjenis autobase yang membahas hal berkaitan dengan literasi dan sastra di Twitter. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan analisis deskriptif dan survei sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Survei dilakukan pada bulan Juni 2021 menggunakan kuesioner dan disebarkan kepada pengikut akun @literarybase dengan jumlah yang didapatkan sebanyak 288 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa akun @literarybase memiliki peran yang sangat besar sebagai tempat untuk meningkatkan minat baca pengikutnya. Hal ini terlihat dari 67.4% responden yang mengikuti akun @literarybase karena ingin mendapatkan rekomendasi bacaan dari pengikut lainnya. Namun, sebesar 48.3% responden menyatakan bahwa mereka jarang melakukan diskusi buku. Secara garis besar, akun @literarybase telah menerapkan prinsip pembangunan minat baca Springer, Harris, dan Dole (2017) dengan baik. Tetapi penerapan prinsip teaching interest self-regulation strategies masih belum seefektif tiga prinsip lainnya. Adapun saran dari penulis, tindakan yang dapat dilakukan oleh admin akun @literarybase untuk mengatasinya adalah dengan mengadakan diskusi secara lebih intensif dengan para pengikutnya mengenai aplikasi reading tracker dan review buku. Admin akun @literarybase juga dapat mengadakan kegiatan diskusi dan baca buku bersama dengan tujuan untuk lebih meningkatkan lagi keaktifan para pengikutnya terkait dengan literasi dan sastra.

his article discusses the role of the Twitter account @literarybase in increasing the reading interest of its followers. The @literarybase account is an autobase that discusses literacy and literature on Twitter. This study uses quantitative methods with descriptive analysis and surveys as data collection techniques. The survey was conducted in June 2021 using a questionnaire and distributed to followers of the @literarybase account with a total of 288 respondents. The results show that the @literarybase account has a very big role as a place to increase followers' reading interest. This can be seen from 67.4% of respondents who follow the @literarybase account because they want to get reading recommendations from other followers. However, 48.3% of respondents stated that they rarely conduct book discussions. In general, the @literarybase account has applied the principles of Springer, Harris, and Dole (2017) reading interest development well. However, the application of the principle of teaching interest self-regulation strategies is still not as effective as the other three principles. As for suggestions from the author, the action that the @literarybase account admin can take to overcome this is to hold more intensive discussions with his followers about reading tracker applications and book reviews. The admin of the @literarybase account can also hold discussion activities and read books together with the aim of further increasing the activity of his followers related to literacy and literature."
