"The sustainability of agri-food supply chains is particularly relevant for global sustainable development. Many existing food production systems do more harm than good. They compromise the natural rhythms of the Earth, introduce toxins, and therefore sacrifice future capability for current demands the opposite of sustainable development norms. The existing system is also unbalanced with respect to its capacity to produce, the amount of waste it generates, the number of people who suffer from hunger, and the nutritional value it provides. Most of the current supply chains have been developed within the classic economic paradigm, where scale and leverage drive choices towards more profitable models. As a consequence, finding new ways to produce, distribute and consume food is a morale, financial, and environmental necessity. Sustainable development and triple bottom line perspectives provide the logic for questioning this paradigm. This book presents and discusses nine cases of organizational innovation in food supply chain, covering different phases of food production, facing different challenges, and proposing different solutions to the challenge of sustainable food development."

This thesis examine Russia's policy of imposing recissment sanctions against the European Union and the Western Alliance in response to sanctions previously imposed on Russia in connection with its alleged annexation of Crimea, Ukraine. In August 2014 the Russian government through a Presidential Decree issued a special economic policy in the form of restrictions on imports of several types of food products from five countries namely the European Union, the United States, Canada, Australia, and Norway. Russia is one of the world's largest importers of agricultural products and some of Russia's imported products come from the EU market. Russia's decision to impose re-sanctions in the form of restrictions on food imports and changes in the Russian import market will be topics to be scrutinized. In conducting the analysis, this research will take two perceptive research, namely analysis in terms of politics and economic aspects. To conduct political analysis, Barry Buzan's Regional Security Complex Theory (RSCT) will be used. While the economic analysis in looking at the market conditions of Russian imports post counter-sanctions will use the concept of economic market concentration. This research uses qualitative and quantitative methods because in addition to document- based data sources, this research also processes trade data. The findings in this study are that Russia's decision to impose counter-sanctions in the form of restrictions on food imports is to strengthen Russia's food security and then produce new markets for Russia."
