ABSTRAK
This study aimed to determine the upper extremity isokinetic muscle strength profile of Turkey male weightlifters and shed light on the exercise and training program by sharing these results with the athletes and all team working presently in the weightlifting sports area. This study included 21 weightlifters, who did not have any orthopedic problems, did professional weightlifting for at least 2 years, were cooperative, had a cognitive state required for the assessment, and volunteered to participate in the study. the tests were performed using an isokinetic dynamometer system at angular velocities of 60°/s and 240°/s during concentric contractions. The protocol was applied separately to the right and left extremities for the shoulder internal rotation/external rotation and elbow flexion/extension movements.
The peak torque of internal rotation in the shoulder joint was found to be higher than that of external rotation, and the extension peak torque in the elbow joint was higher than the peak torque of exion. External/internal rotation rate in the shoulder joint at 240 º/s velocity was lower compared with the rate at 60º/s velocity and also at the rates accepted to be normal for both angular velocities.
The elbow flexion/extension rate on the dominant and nondominant sides ranged outside of the rates accepted as normal for both angular velocities. The present findings can guide the weightlifting athletes to reduce the sports injuries that may occur in shoulder and elbow joints and increase their sports performance.

As it is quick, inexpensive, and non-invasive, ultrasound is the modality of choice for guidance of interventional procedures in the soft tissues. Furthermore, the rising mean age of the general population is being accompanied by increasing demand among patients for minimally invasive procedures to treat painful chronic and degenerative syndromes of the musculoskeletal system. This handbook is a clear, practical guide to ultrasound-guided minimally invasive treatments of musculoskeletal pain in the upper limb. ABSTRAK
Anak cerebral palsy (CP) memiliki berbagai gangguan pada sistem tubuh terutama keterbatasan pergerakan ekstremitas atas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi pengaruh stimulasi bermain balok kayu terhadap perkembangan ekstremitas atas anak dengan CP usia 2-12 tahun. Desain penelitian menggunakan quasi experimental tipe nonequivalent group dengan pretest dan posttest pada kelompok intervensi dan kontrol. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 30 anak.
Hasil penelitian menjelaskan adanya pengaruh stimulasi bermain balok kayu oleh pengasuh terhadap perkembangan ekstremitas atas (pvalue 0,012). Faktor predisposisi yang berhubungan dengan perkembangan ekstremitas atas adalah frekuensi stimulasi bermain dan level Manual Ability of Classification System (MACS). Perawat perlu mengembangkan program stimulasi bermain pada anak dengan CP.
ABSTRACT
Cerebral palsy children have wide range of disorder and developmental disabilities especially in movement of upper extremities. This research explained the effect of play stimulation with the box and block test toward the development of upper extremities in children with cerebral palsy. This research used quasi experimental design with intervention and control group. The chosen samples were 30 respondents.
The research showed that there is an effect of play stimulation using the box and block test toward the development of upper extremities in children with cerebral palsy (pvalue 0,012). In advance, nurse are expected to improve a play stimulation program to children with cerebral palsy.

Latar Belakang Gangguan fungsi anggota gerak atas akibat hemiparesis dapat menurunkan kualitas hidup pasienstroke. Latihan secara aktif dapat meningkatkan proses neuroplastisitas susunan saraf pusat pasca stroke. LatihanGraded Repetitive Arm Supplementary Program GRASP merupakan metode latihan spesfik untuk anggota gerakatas dan dapat diberikan sebagai program latihan di rumah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menilai pengaruh latihanGRASP pada fungsi anggota gerak atas dan kualitas hidup pasien stroke. Metode: Desain pre-post-test. Pasienstroke dengan skor total Fugl Meyr Assessment anggota gerak atas adalah10-57. Program latihan GRASP di rumahselama 6 minggu. Evaluasi fungsi anggota gerak menggunakan Chedoke Arm and Hand Activity Inventory CAHAI dan kualitas hidup menggunakan Stroke-Specific Quality of Life SSQOL . Subyek diminta mencatatkeluhan yang ada selama latihan. Hasil: Total subjek 24 orang. Rerata usia 57.75 6.92 tahun. Hasil CAHAI danSSQOL setelah 6 minggu latihan lebih tinggi dibandingkan awal. Background Upper extremity weakness after stroke impair patients rsquo acitivities and reduce their quality of life.Acive exercise increased the central neural system neuroplastity after stroke. Graded Repetitive ArmSupplementary Program GRASP exercise is an upper extremity specific training program and given as homeprogram. The purposes of this study are to determine the benefit of this exercise to upper extremity function andquality of life in stroke patients. Methods A pre post test design. Stroke patients with total upper extremitiesmotor Fugl Meyr Assessment scores 10 57. GRASP as 6 week home program. Penurunan fungsi ekstremitas atas merupakan komplikasi yang sering terjadi pada pasien pasca stroke yang mengalami hemiplegia sebagai akibat dari kelemahan dan keterbatasan rentang gerak sendi pada bahu. Akupresur bermanfaat dalam memperbaiki fungsi ektremitas atas dengan melancarkan pergerakan aliran qi (energi vital) di dalam tubuh namun belum banyak penelitian yang mengkaji pengaruh akupresur untuk meningkatkan kekuatan otot dan rentang gerak ekstremitas atas pada pasien pasca stroke.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh akupresur terhadap kekuatan otot dan tentang gerak ekstremitas atas pada pasien stroke pasca rawat inap. Penelitian ini menggunakan quasi-experimental design dengan pendekatan pre-post test design pada 34 responden (n kontrol = n intervensi = 17). Kelompok intervensi diberi akupresur setiap hari 10 menit selama 7 hari.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang bermakna pada kekuatan otot dan rentang gerak ekstremitas atas antara kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol (p = 0,001 dan p=0,000; α = 0,05). Akupresur merupakan intervensi yang efekrif untuk meningkatkan kekuatan otot dan rentang gerak pada pasien pasca stroke yang mengalami hemiparesis.
Rekomendasi pada penelitian ini adalah diperlukan adanya perawat yang menguasai akupresur dan memodifikasi standar asuhan keperawatan dengan memasukkan terapi komplementer akupresur dalam asuhan keperawatan pasien stroke yang mengalami kelemahan dan keterbatasan rentang gerak ekstremitas atas.
......Decrease in upper extremity function is a frequent complication in patients who experience post-stroke hemiparesis as a result of the weaknesses and limitations of range of motion in the shoulder. Acupressure is useful in improving the function of upper extremity by launching a movement of the flow of qi (vital energy) in the body but not much research that examines the effect of acupressure to improve muscle strength and range of motion of upper extremity in post stroke patients.
This study aimed to identify the effect of acupressure on muscle strength and range of motion of upper extremity in stroke patients after hospitalization. This study is a quasi-experimental design with pre-post test approach in 34 respondents (n control = n intervention = 17). Acupressure group were given 10 minutes per time each day for 7 days.
There are significant differences in muscle strength and range of motion of upper extremity between the intervention group and control group (p = 0.001 and p = 0.000; α = 0.05). Acupressure is an effective intervention to improve muscle strength and range of motion in patients who experience post-stroke hemiparesis.
Recommendations from this finding that nurses need to competent to provide acupressure and modify the standard of nursing care by include acupressure therapy into nursing care of stroke patients who experience upper extremity weakness and range of motion limitations.
