ABSTRACT
Bilateral Asymmetric In Derhatoglyphic Pattern On The Finger Prints Of Human.Scope and method of study : This investigation was done in order to look at the existence of bilateral asymmetric correlation in dermatoglyphic pattern on the finger prints of humans especially the dermatoglyphic pattern type on each finger. A study on the dermatoglyphic pattern type on the finger was done on 30 male students and 30 female students. The dermatoglyphics patterns were taken with the aid of a roller and special finger printing ink on a sheet of paper (dermatoglyphic card). The prints were analyzed through a stereoscope or a loupe and studies were done on the correlation of each dermatoglyphic pattern on correspond fingers
Result and Conclusion: Of the four dermatoglyphic patterns type studied in men,a significant correlation on the 'loop ulna' pattern type on digit I (P<0,01), 'loop radial' pattern type on digit II (P<0,05) and 'whorl' pattern type on digit I (P<0,01) and on digit II (P<0,05) was found. There are no significant differences between right and left finger in men for the 'arch' pattern type, the 'loop radial' pattern type and the 'whorl' pattern type. There are significant differences between right and left finger on digit III and digit IV for the 'loop ulna' pattern type.
In women a significant correlation on the 'arch' pattern type on digit III (P<0,05) and on digit V (P<0,05), 'loop ulna' pattern type on digit III (P<0,05) and 'whorl' pattern type on digit I (P<0,01) and on digit V (P<0,05) was found. There are no significant differences between right and left finger for the 'loop radial' pattern type and the 'whorl' pattern type. There are significant differences between right and left finger on digit I and digit III for the 'arch' pattern type, on digit I and on digit IV for the 'loop ulna' pattern type.

"Biometrics is a method used to recognize humans based on one or a few characteristics
physical or behavioral traits that are unique such as DNA, face, fingerprints, gait, iris, palm, retina,
signature and sound. Although the facts that ear prints are found in 15% of crime scenes, ear prints
research has been very limited since the success of fingerprints modality. The advantage of the use
of ear prints, as forensic evidence, are it relatively unchanged due to increased age and have fewer
variations than faces with expression variation and orientation. In this research, complex Gabor
filters is used to extract the ear prints feature based on texture segmentation. Principal component
analysis (PCA) is then used for dimensionality-reduction where variation in the dataset is
preserved. The classification is done in a lower dimension space defined by principal components
based on Euclidean distance. In experiments, it is used left and right ear prints of ten respondents
and in average, the successful recognition rate is 78%. Based on the experiment results, it is
concluded that ear prints is suitable as forensic evidence mainly when combined with other
biometric modalities.
