...... Biological air quality in the medicine production room is of particular concern because it is feared to affect drugs being processed, then conducted research in one of the pharmaceutical industry namely PT. X. The air samples were taken using a 100 NT MAS device that has a suction power of 100 liters min. Air sampling times are differentiated into two times, before HVAC is in operation and when HVAC is in operation. Bacteria in the air were taken using Tryptic Soy Agar TSA medium and incubated for 24 hours at 35 370C temperature. The airborne fungi were taken using Malt Extract Agar MEA medium and incubated for 48 72 h at 25 290C temperature. The results showed that the highest number in the concentration of germ rate reached 48 CFU m3 at the time before HVAC operated. A statistical test was used in this study to see whether or not the correlation of the number of workers with concentrations of germplasm and also to see whether or not there was a difference in the concentration of germ rates before HVAC was in operation and HVAC operated. Exit significance value is 0.016 for correlation test and 0,007 for a comparison test. Significant values less than 0.05 lead to the conclusion that there is a correlation between the number of workers with the concentration of germs and the difference between the concentration of germ numbers before HVAC operates and when HVAC operates. Reynold rsquo s number shows the type of flow, in ventilation, has turbulent flow because the number is more than 2000 while near the sampling point has laminar flow because of less than 2000. The air circulation in the room already fulfills the requirement of CPOB that is at least 20 times hour.

Abstrak :
This survey of recent scientific progress in usefully applying microbes to both environmental management and biotechnology is informed by acknowledgement of the polluting effects on the world around us of soil erosion, the unwanted migration of sediments, chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and the improper treatment of human and animal wastes. These harmful phenomena have resulted in serious environmental and social problems around the world, problems which require us to look for solutions elsewhere than in established physical and chemical technologies.
