This loss of quality is caused by bacterial activity,enzyme activity, or o combination of those factors. during the effort of decreasing the temperature by using cooling techniques, fish fishery business. In this study, the experiment will be conducted to determine the effect of different cooling media for quality fish. Cooling medium used is : (a) 99% salt and 1% water (b) 98% salt and 2% water (c)97% salt and 3% fresh and sea water. All media are included in the coolbox . Addition of salt can reduce the temperature of coling media coolbox below 0 derajatC. Ther higher the salt concentration in water, the lower temperatures in the coolbox and the higher salt concentration so that increasing the coolbox temperature will be faster. For sea water temperature is achieved at temperatures as low as 3- derajat C and quickly going up . Viewed from the best cooling media is a mixture of fresh water ice 99% + salt 1% protein content compared with most other cooling medium that is equal to 11.8 %."

"Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kenyataan bahwa Era Globalisasi telah menimbulkan efek dalam berbagai sektor. Tidak terkecuali dalam sektor komunikasi. Globalisasi tersebut menuntut komunikasi yang cepat dan real time. Karena itu, saat ini para humas sudah mulai menggunakan berbagai media berbasis ICT (Information Communication Technology). Melihat hal ini, sebagai salah satu fakultas di sebuah universitas utama dan terbaik di Indonesia, Fakultas Teknik Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) berusaha untuk menghadirkan teknologi media penyampai informasi tersebut di dalam kampusnya dan menjadikan FTUI sebagai ?Digital Campus?. Untuk mewujudkannya FTUI menyediakan berbagai infrastruktur berbasis ICT yang dua diantaranya dikelola oleh humas, salah satunya adalah Jendela Informasi ? 04 (JI-04), sebuah papan pengumuman yang berbentuk papan pengumuman elektronik. Karena media ini belum pernah di evaluasi dan cukup unik, peneliti tertarik untuk mengetahui efektivitasnya melalui dampak komunikasinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mekanisme produksi dan pengaruh kualitas media dan kualitas pesan terhadap dampak komunikasi (JI-04). Selain itu, penelitian ini bermanfaat bagi perkembangan kajian media baru dan praktis bagi Humas FTUI untuk mengembangkan medianya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan paradigma positivis pada pendekatan kuatitatif yang bersifat eksplanatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survei melalui kuesioner. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa FTUI S1 Reguler yang masih aktif berkuliah dan beraktivitas di lingkungan kampus FTUI pada jam pengoperasian JI-04. Sampelnya adalah mahasiswa program S1 reguler dari tujuh departemen FTUI yang masih aktif berkuliah tersebut dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 94 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan secara primer dan sekunder. Data primer dikumpulkan melalui survei dengan menyebarkan kuesioner dan wawancara mendalam. Data sekunder diperoleh melalui companyprofile dan kepustakaan. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dilakukan pengujian statistik dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 12.0. Dari hasil survei dan analisis yang dilakukan diketahui bahwa frekuensi membaca JI-04 adalah 1-3 kali dalam seminggu, yang paling strategis adalah yang di Lobby FTUI, informasi paling favorit adalah informasi beasiswa, kualitas media, kualitas pesan, dan dampak komunikasinya sudah baik. Juga terbukti kualitas media dan kualitas pesan berpengaruh pada dampak komunikasinya. Kualitas media dan kualitas pesan memang memiliki pengaruh terhadap dampak komunikasi. Namun, setelah dilakukan uji regresi linier berganda ternyata kualitas pesan lah yang signifikan dalam mempengaruhi dampak komunikasi, sedangkan kualitas pesan tidak signifikan. Melihat hasil tersebut, Humas Fakultas Teknik Universitas Indonesia harus terus memfokuskan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pesan di JI-04 sehingga dampak komunikasinya dapat terus meningkat.

This research is based on the fact that globalization era has caused effect in many sectors. It also effects the comunication sector. Globalization needs quick and real time communication. Nevertheless, nowadays public relations start using the ICT (Information Communication Technology) based media as their tool in delivering information to public.

Realizing this thing, as one of the faculty in number one university in Indonesia, Faculty of Engineering University of Indonesia developing these information media in the campus and making it as ?Digital Campus?. Faculty of Engineering provide many ICT based infrastructures to reach their mission to be a digital campus, two of them are maintained by public relations office of FTUI, one of them is electronic bulletin board named Jendela Informasi ? 04. This media has never been evaluated before and quite unique, researcher interested knowing the effectivity through the communication effect.

This research is aim to discover the production mechanism of this media and the Influence of media quality and message quality to communication effect of the electronic bulletin board (JI- 04).Beside that, this research also has significances in developing media information and practically few recommendations for public relations office of FTUI to develop its media.

Type of research use is positivist paradigm with quantitativeexplanative approach. Data gathering is conducted by using survey method through the distribution of questionnaires. The population of this research is Faculty of Engineering University of Indonesia?s Bachelor degree student that still active studying and doing activities at FTUI campus during the operational hours of JI-04. This research?s sample has been limited to 94 students from the regular Bachelor degree program from seven different departments.

Data collecting technique is done by primary and secondary data collecting. Primary data collecting is done through surveys by distributing questionnaires while the secondary data collecting is completed through company profile and literature studies. The data processing technique useis by processing primary data from questionnaires by using Statistic Product and Service Solution (SPSS) 12.0.

From survey and analysis? results, it can be concluded that reading frequency of JI-04 is 1-3 times a week, the most strategic place to put this media is FTUI?s lobby, the most favorite information is the information about scholarship, media quality, message quality, and communication effect is already in a good stage. It is proved in this research that media quality and message quality have influence to communication effect.

Media quality and message quality do have influence to communication effect, however, after testing the variables using the multiple regression test, it is proved that message quality is the one more significant influencing the communication effect.

Based on that result, public relations office of FTUI has to keep focusing to develop message quality in JI-04 so that the communication effect can also eventually developed."
