"Sektor makanan dan minuman di Indonesia merupakan sector yang diprioritaskan dan merupakan sebuah prioritas untuk mengadopsi teknologi industri 4.0 yang telah ditetapkan pada kebijakan nasional berjudul Making Indonesia 4.0. Menjadikan sektor makanan dan minuman di Indonesia sebagai sebuah prioritas disebabkan dari besarnya kontribusi, yang dimana mendominasi kontribusi untuk sektor non-migas sebesar 34,33% di tahun 2018 dan meningkat secara terus menerus. Pemerintah Indonesia telah merancang strategi untuk mengembangkan pengadopsian teknologi di manufaktur untuk emningkatkan kontribusinya terhadap perekonomian Indonesia. Namun, perlu dilakukan riset lebih dalam untuk mengetahui kebijakan mana yang berkontribusi secara efektif terhadap peningkatan intensi pengadopsian teknologi industry 4.0. Penelitian in menggunakan pendekatan system dinamis. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah pemerintah harus berfokus pada meningkatkan nilai Gross Expenditure on Research and Development.

Food and beverage is a priority sector in Indonesia, and it is a priority to adopt industry 4.0 technology under the national policy roadmap titled Making Indonesia 4.0. The decision to prioritize technology adoption for food and beverage manufacturers comes from the contribution number, which steadily dominate the national GDP in the manufacturing sector by 34,33% in 2018 and continuously increasing. The Indonesian government has designed a development strategy for the industry through Making Indonesia 4.0 to foster growth in the manufacturing sector and enhance its contribution to the Indonesian economy. However, the extent to which these policies can effectively increase the intention to adopt industry 4.0 technology remains a subject of further investigation. This research uses system dynamics to investigate current policies’ effectiveness in accelerating technology adoption in the Indonesian food and beverage manufacturing industry. The findings demonstrate that the government should focus on increasing the Gross Expenditure on Research and Development funding rate. Moreover, the additional policies should address the government’s support for technology investment for food and beverage manufacturing companies, as the result indicates these factors impactfully increase the intention to adopt Industry 4.0 technology.
