"[ABSTRAK Artikel ini membahas mafia yang berada dalam pemerintah dalam film Banlieue 13 Ultimatum karya PatrickAlessandrin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan bantuan teori-teori dari kajian sinema. Hasilpenelitian ini menyatakan bahwa melalui aspek naratif dan sinematografis ditemukan adanya mafia dalam suatupemerintahan sebuah negara. Pada hal ini secara tidak langsung mafia tersebut mendapatkan perlindungan dariaparat negara untuk menjalankan misinya berupa penghancuran Banlieue 13 yang kemudian diganti dengantower baru dengan tujuan komersil. Kelompok tersebut melakukan segala cara seperti kekerasan dan ancamanpembunuhan untuk mendatangkan keuntunganbagi kelompok mereka sendiri yang berdampak pada kerugiannegara.ABSTRACT This article exposes the existence of mafia inside the government in movie entitled Banlieu 13 Ultimatum by

Patrick Alessandrin, using qualitative method of research and theories about cinema studies. The results of this

research proved, based upon the narrative and cinematographic aspects, the existence of mafia inside a

government of a nation. In this case, the mafia protected indirectly by the government to accomplish the mission of Banlieue 13's destruction for commercial tower building purpose. This certain group of mafia practiced varied
