"Penelitian ini membahas tentang penggunaan teknologi reproduksi berbantuan oleh kelompok minoritas lesbi, gay, transgender di Jepang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perkembangan teknologi reproduksi berbantuan di Jepang, latar belakang penggunaan teknologi reproduksi berbantuan oleh kelompok minoritas LGT, polemik penggunaan teknologi reproduksi berbantuan oleh kelompok minoritas LGT, dan sikap pemerintah terhadap penggunaan teknologi reproduksi berbantuan.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Struktural Fungsionalis terkait fenomena penggunaan teknologi reproduksi berbantuan oleh kelompok LGT di Jepang dan teori kebutuhan Maslow. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa latar belakang penggunaan teknologi reproduksi berbantuan disebabkan karena kebutuhan rasa sayang dan memiliki. Penggunaan teknologi reproduksi berbantuan meski sulit dilakukan namun pada akhirnya berhasil dilakukan. Kemudian kelompok LGT menghadapi polemik dalam menggunakan teknologi reproduksi berbantuan dalam aspek hukum, masyarakat, dan status anak.

This research discusses the use of assisted reproductive technology by lesbian, gay and transgender minority groups in Japan. The aim of this research is to determine the development of assisted reproductive technology in Japan, the background to the use of assisted reproductive technology by LGT minority groups, the polemic on the use of assisted reproductive technology by LGT minority groups, and the government's attitude towards the use of assisted reproductive technology.

This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method. This research uses Structural Functionalist theory related to the phenomenon of the use of assisted reproductive technology by LGT groups in Japan and Maslow's theory of needs. The results show that the background to the use of assisted reproductive technology is due to the need for love and belonging. Although the use of assisted reproductive technology was difficult, it was ultimately successful. Then the LGT group faced polemics in using assisted reproductive technology in legal, societal and child status aspects"
