This systematic exposition of various aspects of the economics of Islam not only provide an overview of the various dimensions of Islamic economics, but also aim to establish the viability of the application of these concepts in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.

Abstrak :
Kepribadian Islam harus ditanam sedini mungkin melalui pendidikan, yaitu sejak pednidikan dasar. Pembentukan karakter anak sejak berada sekolah dasar, akan memberikan pengaruh yang lebih besar bagi mereka ketika mereka tumbuh dewasa, seperti pepatah yang mengatakan belajar di waktu kecil seperti mengukir di atas batu dan belajar di usia tua seperti mengukir di atas air. Belajar di tingkat SD harus difokuskan pada pembentukan karakter mereka, sehingga bahan-bahan ekonomi Islam yang tepat adalah seperti kesejahteraan, keadilan, pelarangan praktik riba, harus jujur dengan lingkungan sosial dan sebagainya.

Pengelolaan dan pendistribusian zakat merupakan masalah mendasar dalam perekonomian Islam. Pada awal pengumpulannya, zakat dihimpun dan disalurkan dengan tujuan untuk membantu mengatasi kebutuhan utama para mustahik. Dewasa ini, pengelolaan zakat yang inovatif melalui distribusi pembiayaan produktif kepada para mustahik, menjadi fenomena tersendiri dalam perekonomian Islam. Penelitian ini berupaya untuk menemukan adanya pengaruh zakat terhadap peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat mustahik yang dijadikan objek pendistribusian zakat melalui pembiayaan produktif sekaligus melihat lebih jauh program pembinaan yang dikembangkan oleh Community Development Circle (CDC) Dompet Dhuafa (DD) Republika. Guna memperkuat hasil penelitian, observasi dan wawancara kepada pihak CDC intens dilakukan. Penelitian ini juga mencoba untuk menggali korelasi antara jenis kelamin, tingkat pendidikan, jenis usaha dan total skim (pembiayaan dari zakat) terhadap laju pendapatan per kapita usaha para mustahik. Uji statistik terhadap data meliputi uji wilcoxon signed rank, korelasi pearson, dan ordinal regresi. Hasil uji wilcoxon menunjukkan sebagian besar mitra binaan mengalami peningkatan pendapatan. Hasil korelasi menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara skim (pembiayaan), modal, PPKu dan PPKs. Dari hasil regresi ordinal ternyata secara keseluruhan model signifikan secara statistik, namun secara individual ada variabel yang tidak signifikan.

Management and distribution of zakah are the fundamental problem in the Islamic economics. At the first time, zakah just collected and distributed with the target to fulfill primary need of mustahik only. Currently, the innovative management of zakah through productive financing to mustahik is the specific phenomena in Islamic economics. This Research tend to find the impact of zakah in order to increase a mustahik society economic welfare that the object of zakah distribution through productive financing and to deeply understanding about how to couching and counseling program by Community Development Circle (CDC) Dompet Dhuafa (DD) Republika. To support our research, we made observation and interview, work together with CDC intensively. This research also to explore the correlations between gender, education, business kind, and total scheme (total financing from zakah) to the velocity on income per kapita from business (PPKu) of mustahik. Statistical test in this research are wilcoxon signed rank, pearson correlation, and ordinal regression. The results of wilcoxon signed rank test shown that the most of "mitra binaan" gets significant increasing of their income. The result of correlations test shown that there are relationship between financing (skim), capital, PPKu and PPKs. And the result of ordinal regression shown that the overall model are statistically significant, but as individual some variable are not significant.

Perspektif ekonomi Islam belakangan memeroleh perhatian di tengah-tengah perdebatan ekonomi politik internasional. Semakin tingginya tingkat kemiskinan global dan kesenjangan menjadi salah satu alasan akademisi mulai menaruh perhatian terhadap pendekatan ekonomi ini. Pemikiran ekonomi politik ekonomi internasional pada dasarnya adalah sebuah pendekatan yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan permasalahan tertentu di konteks waktu dan tempat tertentu. Ekonomi Islam dinilai memiliki relevansi lebih dibanding ekonomi liberal dan sosialis dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan dengan konteks negara-negara dunia ketiga. Instrumen-instrumen charity dan aid Zakat yang berbasis ekonomi Islam yang ditawarkan ekonomi Islam serta sistem microfinance yang ditujukan untuk investasi bisnis-bisnis kecil dan menengah dianggap sesuai untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan kemiskinan global. Tulisan ini berusaha untuk menjelaskan bagaimana instrumen-instrumen berbasis pilar ekonomi Islam ini menyelesaikan masalah-masalah kemiskinan global yang diabaikan oleh sistem ekonomi liberal dan sosialis. ......Islamic economics has recently gained attention in the middle of international political economics discourse. The fact that the level of global poverty and disparity that keeps rising becomes one of the reason scholars put their attention to this economics approach. International political economics approach is basically an approach used to solve economics problem in specific time and place context. Islamic economics is regarded as more relevant to fix problems that are faced in the third world countries. Islamic-based charity and aid instruments that are offered by Islamics economics and the microfinance systems that are targeted to small and medium enterprieses productive investments is regarded as suitable to help fix the problem of global poverty. Further, this literature study tries to help explain how these Islamic pillar based instruments help alleviate global poverty that are ignored by mainstream economies, liberalism and socialism.

Mankind is faced with a number of serious problems that demand an effective solution. The prevalence of injustice and the frequency of financial crises are two of the most serious of these problems. Consisting of an in-depth introduction along with a selection of eight of Muhammad Umer Chapra's essays--four on Islamic economics and four on Islamic finance--this timely book raises the question of what can be done to not only minimize the frequency and severity of the financial crises, but also make the financial system more equitable. Skripsi ini membahas tentang kurang terakomodasikannya konsep-konsep dan subjek-subjek bidang ekonomi Islam dalam sarana pengawasan istilah konvensional sehingga menyulitkan pengguna dalam mencari literatur yang diperlukannya. Tesaurus Ekonomi Islam sebagai sarana pengawasan istilah terkendali pascakoordinasi diharapkan mampu memudahkan pengguna dalam mencari literatur bidang subjek Ekonomi Islam, mengingat istilah dalam tesaurus dibentuk sedemikian rupa sehingga susunan entrinya mampu memperlihatkan hubungan kesetaraan, hirarkis dan asosiatif. Tesaurus juga membatasi cakupannya pada suatu subjek spesifik. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini berupa model/ prototipe thesaurus Ekonomi Islam dengan menggunakam pendekatan literary warrant yang berarti istilah-istilah yang digunakan berasal dari istilah yang hidup dalam literatur.

This thesis discusses the lack accomodation for concepts and subjects of Islamic economics in terms of conventional means of oversight made it difficult for the user in finding the ecessary literature. Thesaurus of Islamic economics as a mean of post-coordinated control term monitoring is expected to facilitate users in searching the literature of Islamic conomics subject areas, considering the term in the thesaurus is formed in such a way that the composition of entry could show the equivalence relationship, hierarchical and associative. Thesaurus also limits its scope to a specific subject. This study is a descriptive qualitative research design. The result is a model/ prototype of thesaurus of Islamic economics using the approach of literary warrant which means the terms used come from a life term in the literature.
