Abstrak :
Panakawan is indeed a unique type of characters in Javanese shadow play (wayang). They are figures of the wayang theatre, the appearance of whom are usually accompanied by the laughter of the audience due to their physical uglines, their characters and their behaviours. this essay will put forth, firstly, how the panakawan have been ridiculing the nature of human being, including their own selves. Secondly, that of even the brahmanas and ksatrias, due to their being "the sons of God".

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan bahwa kolonialisme Jepang di Korea tidak hanya merenggut nyawa, sumber daya alam, dan identitas bangsa Korea semata. Akan tetapi, juga membuat kehidupan masyarakat Korea, khususnya kaum petani, lekat dengan kemiskinan dan kesengsaraan. Penulis merumuskan bagaimana Kim Yujeong menggambarkan ironi kaum petani dalam cerpen Manmubang, Geum Ttaneun Kong Bat, dan Sonakbi yang dirilis pada 1935. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode close reading. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kolonialisme Jepang di Korea turut melatarbelakangi lahirnya karya sastra yang menggambarkan realita penderitaan kaum kelas bawah akibat kebijakan-kebijakan pemerintah kolonial. Dalam karya tersebut, para sastrawan biasanya menyelipkan kritik-kritik yang ditujukan kepada Jepang. Berbagai kritik tersebut disuguhkan menggunakan aliran sarkasme. Di sisi lain, Kim Yujeong menyuguhkan gagasan-gagasannya melalui karakter-karakter kaum kelas bawah menggunakan ironi sebagai alat kritik terhadap pemerintahan Jepang. Ironi situasional tersirat dalam cerpen Manmubang dan Geum Ttaneun Kong Bat, sedangkan ironi dramatis tersirat dalam cerpen Sonakbi.

ABSTRACT
This research aims to prove that Japanese colonialism in Korea not only took the lives, natural resources, and the identity of Korean people. However, it also made the peasantry lived in poverty and misery. The writer stated how Kim Yujeong described the irony of peasantry in Manmubang, Geum Ttaneun Kong Bat, and Sonakbi released in 1935. This research is a qualitative descriptive research using close reading method. The results show that Japanese colonialism in Korea has influenced the birth of literature works that portraying the harsh reality of the lower class people due to the policies of the colonial government. In the literature works, the writers put in critics for the Japanese colonialism. Many of the critics are served in a sarcastic way. On the other hand, Kim Yujeong presented his ideas through the characters of the lower class people in an ironical way as a means of criticism to the Japanese government. Situational irony is implied in Manmubang and Geum Ttaneun Kong Bat, while dramatic irony is implied in the Sonakbi.

Incongruity ketidaksesuaian adalah salah satu bahan baku lelucon, dan Monty Python rsquo;s Flying Circus MPFC/Sirkus Terbang Monty Python dari Britannia Raya adalah grup komedi ternama yang bertanggung jawab atas beberapa sketsa terabsurd dalam sejarah pertelevisian. Korpus makalah penelitian ini adalah dua sketsa karya MPFC; ldquo;Lumberjack Song Lagu Pemotong Kayu rdquo; dan ldquo;Communist Quiz Kuis Komunis rdquo;. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan dan mendalami bermacam incongruity sebagaimana didefinisikan oleh Koestler 1964 yang ditemukan dalam kedua sketsa tersebut, dan bagaimana mereka memengaruhi dan/atau dipengaruhi oleh satu sama lain dalam kedua sketsa tersebut. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dan menggunakan analisis tekstual untuk menganalisis komponen linguistik dan literatur yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, terdapat lima incongruity secara total; satu incongruity yang bersifat menyeluruh dalam ldquo;Lumberjack Song, rdquo; dan empat incongruity yang terpisah dalam ldquo;Communist Quiz. rdquo; Penelitian ini berkesimpulan bahwa walaupun absurditas secara umum dan incongruity memang merupakan alasan mengapa banyak orang menyukai MPFC, unsur satir yang mendasari sketsa-sketsa mereka yang dapat ditemukan dengan melihat bagaimana absurditas dan incongruity tersebut dibuat membuat sketsa-sketsa tersebut lebih pintar daripada yang terlihat.

ABSTRACT
Incongruity is one of the basic ingredients for a joke, and the British comedy troupe, Monty Python rsquo;s Flying Circus MPFC is famous for some of the most incongruous sketches known in the history of television. The corpus of this research paper is MPFC rsquo;s two sketches; ldquo;Lumberjack Song rdquo; and ldquo;Communist Quiz rdquo;. The purpose of this research is to explain and elaborate on the various incongruities as defined by Koestler 1964 found on the aforementioned two sketches, and the way they affect and/or are affected by each other in the sketch. This research is qualitative in nature and uses textual analysis of both linguistic and literary components. Based on the result of analysis, out of the two samples, there are five incongruities in total; one overarching incongruity in the ldquo;Lumberjack Song, rdquo; and four separate ones in the ldquo;Communist Quiz rdquo; sketch. This research concludes that while general absurdities and incongruities might indeed be the reasons why people like MPFC, the underlying satires found by seeing how those absurdities and incongruities are constructed makes it smarter than it presented itself to be.

In this study the writer analyzed the use of figurative meaning in sport articles. The research used descriptive qualitative method. The data is taken from sport articles of Simile Synecdoch, Metonymy, Hyperbole, Personification, Irony. The sports news, specifically soccer, is reported the sports soccer emotionally to give impression of the team and the quality of the competition, to the reader. In text article it is also reported. The writers also try to report the play in an article. How the article reported as it is played, it should using figurative meaning.

Rap dan hip-hop merupakan sebuah budaya yang berkembang pesat dari kaum kulit hitam di New York sebagai media kritikan terhadap keadaan sosial. Hip-hop juga telah berkembang pesat ke seluruh dunia, termasuk Korea Selatan. Penelitian ini membahas gaya bahasa sindiran bahasa Korea pada lagu rap karya Agust D. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan gaya bahasa sindiran yang ditemukan dalam lagu rap Agust D. Korpus data yang digunakan adalah tiga lirik lagu dari album D-2 dan dua lagu dari album D-Day. Pertanyaan penelitian yang diangkat adalah apa saja jenis gaya bahasa sindiran yanng ditemukan dalam lagu rap Agust D. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis deskriptif dengan teknik simak-catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari lima lagu terdapat 23 baris lirik yang mengandung gaya bahasa sindiran. Gaya bahasa sindiran yang paling sering muncul adalah sarkasme. ......Rap and hip-hop are a culture that is growing rapidly among black people in New York as a medium for criticizing social conditions. Hip-hop has also spread rapidly throughout the world, including South Korea. This research discusses the Korean style of satirical language in Agust D's rap songs. This research aims to explain the figure of speeches found in Agust D's rap songs in depth. The data corpus used are song lyrics from three songs from the D-2 album and two songs from the D-Day album. The research question raised is what kinds of figure of speech are found in Agust D's rap songs. The method used in this research is a descriptive analysis method using note-taking techniques. The results of the research show that from the five songs there are 23 song lines that contain figure of speeches. The figure of speech that appears most frequently is sarcasm.
