"ABSTRAK
Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is the second leading cause of death in adolescent groups in the world. In Indonesia, the rate of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infected adolescents increases annually. Yogyakarta, well known as the education city, has the highest number of HIV/AIDS cases in the productive age group of 20 29 years old, which means that they have been already infected with HIV since teen age. This study aimed to determine influential factors that affect adolescents attitude toward HIV/AIDS prevention. The study was an analytic survey research with a cross sectional design. Stratified random sampling was applied to select a sample size of 128 respondents of class XI at Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta Senior High School in 2017. Data were taken by using questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed by chisquare test and logistic regression. The results revealed that most of the respondents received information on HIV/AIDS from media (47.7%), have a good knowledge level (82%), and support the prevention of HIV/AIDS (96.9%). The source of information and knowledge level had a statistically significant relation with adolescents attitude toward HIV/AIDS prevention. Knowledge level is the most influential factor to adolescents attitude toward HIV/AIDS prevention (p value = 0.006, PR = 1.199, 95% confidence interval = 1052 until 1367)."

Comprehensive knowledge of HIV/AIDS is a knowledge about transmission and prevention of HIV/AIDS which composed based on 5 things: HIV can be prevented by having sex only with husband/wife, using condom when having sex with risky partner, do not needles sharing, HIV can?t spread by eating within one plate with the people affected by HIV, and through mosquito bites. This study was conducted to determine factors associated comprehensive knowledge of HIV/AIDS at population aged ≥ 15 years old according to the characteristics of age group, gender, marital status, residence place, education, employment, and household expenditure per capita, based on Riskesdas 2010 data. Study design was cross-sectional. Study population of this research is all respondents of Riskesdas 2010 and taken as a sample of 101,604 respondents by total sampling methods, which appropriate with inclusion criteria.
Chi-squared test results of this study demonstrate the characteristics of the age group, marital status, education, employment, and household expenditure per capita, have significant value with comprehensive knowledge of HIV/AIDS (p value ≤ 0.05). While the characteristics of gender and residence place doesn?t have significant value with comprehensive knowledge of HIV/AIDS (p value > 0.05). Based on multivariate analysis obtained the most influential factors are age, marital status, occupation, and expenditure. By knowing factors associated comprehensive knowledge of HIV/AIDS, intervention programs to increase HIV/AIDS knowledge can be addressed on the most information needed of the characteristics.

Factors Related to HIV/AIDS Prevention Behavior by Students of Senior High School 13 in Palembang 2002The cumulative data of HIV/AIDS cases in Indonesia up to the end of 2001 are 2,575. This fiture shows only recorded and reported cases by Ditjen PPM&PL. On the other hand, there still remain a lot of cases which are not detected and reported which form an iceberg phenomenon.
The situation is also affected worsened by youth who are infected by HIV/AIDS through the use of drug (narkoba), alcohol and premarital sexual intercourse. From 2,575 cases, there are 861 cases suffered by youth aged 15-29 years old in which some of them are senior high school students.
The above mentioned fact shows that senior high school students are proned to HIV/AIDS. In this respect, there should be research conducted to describe factors related to the behavior of preventing HIV/AIDS by students of Senior High School 13 Palembang in 2002.
This study used cross sectional design. The samples are 110 senior high school students from first and second year. Data was collected using questioner in May 2002. Three types of analiysis were used in this research. Univariat analysis result shows that students with good behavior on preventing H1V/AIDS are 64,5%. Bivariate analysis results found two variables related to the Behavior of Preventing HIV/AIDS by Students of Senior High School 13 in Palembang in 2002, i.e. extra curricular activities and teachers role. Multivariat analysis using logostic regression shows that extra curricular is the dominant variable related to the behavior of preventing HIVIAIDS by students of Senior High School 13 in Palembang in 2002.
From the above result, some recommendations are suggested. First, health program provider should make use potential groups at school such as OSIS, counseling, sport and religion teacher in order to promote the prevention of HIV/AIDS and to provide routine and continuous counseling. Second, school curriculum planner should include HIV/AIDS topic as local material reproductive as soon as possible. Third, school should promote the educated of youth. School should give more chance and support OS1S to hold seminar, discussion and competition and popular scientific writing on HIV/AIDS. Extra curricular activities such as drama, role play, youth red cross club and visiting to hospital can improve the behavior of preventing HIV/AIDS."

The increasing of HIV/AIDS cases in Indonesia is now arrived on terrible condition meanwhile the medicine to cure is not found yet. Especially DKI Jakarta now take the first place on HIV/AIDS cases in Indonesia. North Jakarta as the part of DKI Jakarta is the highest population and harbor area which has the high population mobility and a lot of prostitution areas where the place of HI /AIDS could be well transmitted. Based on this condition since May 1996 the intervention program was organized which purpose to enable the community to prevent HIV/AIDS transmitting by themselves in Kecamatan Cilincing with the started area was Kelurahan Cilincing.
The objective of the study was to know the impact of intervention program on the community knowledge, attitude and practice about HIV/ AIDS prevention. The study used quasi-experiment design where Kelurahan Cilincing was the intervention area and Kelurahan Rorotan was the control are. The number of total samples were 400 households which were 200 households came from the intervention area and 200 households from control area. The households were interviewed door to door by using questioner. The collected data was analyzed by using t-test, cross -- tabulation and logistic regression.
The result showed the impact of program intervention was not statistically significant even the group with sufficient (P=0,862) and high (P=0,625) knowledge about IIIVIAIDS prevention. The variables those are showed significant relationship in group with sufficient knowledge about HIVIAIDS prevention were length of education (P= 0,003) and media of information factors (P= 0,000). The variables those are showed significant relationship with high knowledge about HIV/AIDS prevention were length of education (P=0,000) and length of reading factors (P= 0,006).
Respondent group with negative attitude to HIV/AIDS prevention was not significantly improved (P=0,129) and the variables those are showed the significant relationship were length of education (P- 0,002) and media of information factors (P= 0, 000). The group with positive attitude to HIV/AIDS prevention was not significantly improved (P= 0,666) and there was no variables which was significant relationship.
The improving of group with worse HIV/AIDS prevention was not statistically significant (P= 0,095). The variables those are showed significant relationship were length of education (P=0,003) and media of information factors (P= 0,000). For the group with good HIV/AIDS prevention was not significantly improved (P= 0,231) and no variables were significantly relationship."

"Stepping outside of the normal boundaries of HIV scholarship, Modernizing Sexuality shows how Western idealizations of normative sexuality and the power of modernity come together in U.S. prevention policy in ways that actually exacerbate HIV risk, particularly for women. The book begins with an overview of the historical, epidemiological, and theoretical underpinnings of U.S. HIV-prevention policy in sub-Saharan Africa and Malawi, as well as a review of U.S. global prevention efforts, beginning with the Reagan administration. The second chapter introduces the risk narratives conveyed in official U.S. policy, the HIV-prevention industry, and everyday discourse in Malawi. Chapter Three introduces the concept of love matches, the idealized blueprint for prevention conveyed in U.S. policy discourse. This rarely acknowledged prescriptive narrative offers examples of healthy, natural, and otherwise sanctioned sex. Chapter Four turns to everyday discourse among Malawians to explore collective solutions to the problem of AIDS and multiple paths for prevention. This exploration results in an everyday prescriptive narrative that offers a very different blueprint for HIV prevention than that offered by U.S. prevention policy. The fifth chapter discusses the most commonly acknowledged strategies in HIV-prevention policy (e.g., knowledge, skills, and economic development), as well as the unacknowledged strategies deployed through the HIV/AIDS administrative apparatus. The book closes with an alternative narrative that reimagines risk and provides one alternative path for organizing policy efforts."
