"Using the data from 1.139 female migrants we observe that most of the females (65.85%) mirated due to the reason of marriage. The result indicates that only 6.41% female migrate due to pull factors and the remaining percent migrate due to push factors. By using a well known procedure Z (mean test) we see that there is a significant difference in migrant ststus, before and after migration. The binary logistic regression model reveals that age, education, family income, occupation and types of family significantly influence the process of migration among more educated women than illiterate. Further, the risk of migration is higher among older women than among younger women."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh keberadaan direktur wanita terhadap kinerja perusahaan (ROA, ROE, dan Tobins Q). Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan sampel 114 perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2010-2017. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan direktur wanita memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menganalisis pengaruh dari delapan atribut direktur wanita yang berhubungan dengan fungsi pengawasan terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Hasil yang ada menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan direktur wanita tetap berpengaruh negatif terhadap kineja perusahaan meski telah dimasukkannya atribut dalam penelitian. Penemuan lainnya yakni atribut-atribut direktur wanita tidak memiliki pengaruh yang seragam terhadap kinerja perusahaan.

This research aims to analyze the impact of female directorship on firm performance (ROA, ROE, and Tobins Q). This research is conducted using a sample of 114 manufacturing companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2010 to 2017. The result indicates that female directorship negatively affects firm performance. This research also analyzes a set of eight attributes of female directors capturing their monitoring roles and capabilities. The result shows that even after including attributes in the analysis, female directorship still negatively affects firm performance. Furthermore, this finding shows that attributes of female directors do not uniformly affect firm performance."

"Dengan memanfaatkan data cross section dari 4 sumber data yang berbeda, penelitian ini menginvestigasi dampak dari penggunaan internet terhadap jam kerja pekerja perempuan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan strategi IV-GMM dengan Heckman Selection Model untuk menginvestigasi dampak tersebut dan mengatasi permasalahan endogeneity dan bias pemilihan sampel. Dengan mengontrol kontrol individu dan kabupaten, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1% peningkatan pada penggunaan internet signifikan diasosiasikan dengan peningkatan jam kerja pekerja perempuan sebesar 0.783 percentage point atau sekitar 16 menit, ceteris paribus. Hubungan positif tersebut konsisten pada analisis antarsektor dan antartahun. Penelitian ini menyoroti peran potensial dari penggunaan internet untuk meningkatkan jam kerja pekerja perempuan di Indonesia.

Using a cross section dataset that was constructed from 4 different data sources, this study investigates the impact of internet use on female working hours in Indonesia. This study uses IV-GMM strategy with Heckman Selection Model to investigate the impact while facing endogeneity issue and sample selection bias. Controlling for individual and district-level characteristics, the result shows that a 1% internet use increase is significantly associated with a 0.783 percentage point or around 16 minutes increase in total working hours among female labor, ceteris paribus. The positive relationship is also consistent across sectors and years. This study highlights the potential roles of internet use to catalyze the working hours among female labor in Indonesia."

"The focus of this research is a problem occured in a radio segmented for and managed by women. Conducting on a female radio located in East Java-Indonesia, this research employed cultural production approach and Gramscian thoughts on hegemony. The result shows that working women experienced various conflict over their existence as media workers. At institutional as well as societal level, as they decided to go into media industry, these women had to face media condition which is masculine and capitalistic in nature. This condition puts up women workers to follow the logic of capitalism which will certainly exploit them."

"Direktur Keuangan adalah posisi strategis yang bertugas merumuskan strategi, membuat kebijakan, dan mengelola semua hal yang berkaitan dengan aspek keuangan perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh CFO wanita terhadap nilai perusahaan. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga akan memeriksa apakah hubungan tersebut dipengaruhi oleh kebijakan cash holding perusahaan. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan regresi data panel fixed effect dan random effect, dengan 341 perusahaan di sektor non-keuangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada 2014 hingga 2018. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa CFO wanita memiliki hubungan negatif dengan nilai perusahaan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa gender perempuan mungkin memiliki kecenderungan untuk lebih berhati-hati, menolak risiko, kurang percaya diri, dan kurang kompetitif dalam pengambilan keputusan investasi, sehingga akan menurunkan nilai perusahaan. Namun demikian, perusahaan dengan kepemilikan kas yang lebih tinggi akan memiliki hubungan negatif yang lebih lemah antara CFO perempuan dan nilai perusahaan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa cash holding yang tinggi dianggap memberikan peningkatan likuiditas dan biaya pembiayaan yang lebih rendah, distribusi dividen, dan potensi keberlangsungan perusahaan yang lebih kuat di masa krisis. Studi ini memberikan wawasan tambahan bahwa karakteristik gender penting dalam pembuatan kebijakan yang berkaitan dengan strategi keuangan perusahaan dan harus dipertimbangkan ketika memilih CFO di perusahaan untuk memaksimalkan nilai perusahaan.

Finance Director is a strategic position in charge of formulating strategies, making policies, and managing all matters related to the company's financial aspects. This study aims to examine the effect of female CFO on the firm value. In addition, this study will also examine whether that association is influenced by the firm cash holding policy. Hypothesis testing is conducted by using data panel fixed effect and random effect regression analysis, with of 341 companies in the non-financial sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014 to 2018. The results of the study shows that female CFO has a negative association with the firm value. This finding confirms that female gender may have the tendency to be more cautious, risk averse, less confidence, and less competitive in investment decision making, so it will reduce firm value. Nevertheless, firms with higher cash holdings will have weaker negative association between female CFO and firm value. This finding indicates that high cash holding perceived to give liquidity increase and lower cost of financing, dividend distribution, and stronger survival potential in crisis period. This study gives an additional insight that gender characteristics matter in policy making related to company financial strategies and should be considered when choosing a CFO in the company to maximize firm value.
