"Emotional Intelligence (EI) has become a topic of vast and growing interest worldwide and is concerned with the ways in which we perceive, identify, understand, and manage emotions. It is an aspect of individual difference that can impact a number of important outcomes throughout a person's lifespan. Yet, until now there were no authoritative books that bridge the gap between scholarly articles on the subject, often published in obscure professional journals, and the kind of books found in the pop-psych sections of most large bookstores. This book fills that gap, addressing the key issues from birth through to old age, including the impact of EI on child development, social relationships, the workplace, and health. It is a useful introduction to the academic study of EI, including its history as a concept."

The COVID-19 pandemic situation has brought about many changes in the lives of adolescents. The restricted activities of adolescents have caused an increase in the emotional problems that they face. Not only that, the happiness of adolescents has also been proven to decline during the COVID-19 pandemic. To deal with this, a good level of emotional intelligence is needed. This study aims to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and happiness among adolescents in Indonesia during the COVID-19 situation. The research participants were 232 unmarried adolescents aged 15-21 years old. Happiness was measured using the Subjective Happiness Scale (SHS), while emotional intelligence was measured using the Trait Meta-Mood Scale Short-Form (TMMS-SF). Data of the research were analyzed using the Pearson correlation analysis technique. The result shows a positive correlation between emotional intelligence and adolescents’ happiness during the COVID-19 situation (r 0.433; p < 0.05). This research also finds positive correlations between the dimensions of emotional intelligence (emotional attention, emotional clarity, emotion regulation) and happiness."

"We've all heard of "IQ"...but what's "EQ?" It's "Emotional Quotient" (aka Emotional Intelligence), and experts say that EQ is a greater predictor of success at work than IQ. Companies are increasingly looking for ways to motivate and develop their employees' emotional intelligence. This book presents trainers and coaches with 50 innovative exercises to be used for either individuals or groups. The activities found in the book are grouped according to the various core competencies associated with Emotional Intelligence: * Self-Awareness and Control: an awareness of one's values, emotions, skills, and drives, and the ability to control one's emotional responses * Empathy: an understanding of how others perceive situations * Social Expertness: the ability to build relationships based on an assumption of human equality * Mastery of Vision: the development and communication of a personal philosophy The book also includes suggested training combinations and coaching tips."

The root of the matter in this research is what the relation of wara' and emotional quotient with level of conformity student Al-Inaayah Islamic Boarding School, Bogor. There are three hypothesises which will be tested in this research that are: a) there is significant relationship between wara' with level of conformity, b) there is significant relationship between emotional quotient with level of conformity and c) there is significant relationship between wara' and emotional quotient simultantly/together with level of conformity.
Population in this research is student Al-Inaayah Islamic Boarding School, Bogor which amounts to 80, to determine sample is applied by Random Sampling technique. Based on one of the research theory, number of populations that is less 100 is assumed by enough representative if taken by 20-25%, hence in this research taken 40 responders. Instrument applied to collect data is questionaire, Likert Scale and analyzed with Alpha Cronbach.
Result of the instrument analysis shows validity and reliability that is enough with r-statistic each variable as follows: 1) variable wara' ( X1) r-statistic 0,779, b) emotional quotient variable (X2) r-statistic 0,726 and c) conformity variable r-statistic 0,680.
Result of research in testing correlation shows that the relation of variable wara' with conformity is -0.580 while the relation of emotional quotient variable with conformity is -0.636, while assessing R Square which shows determination or percentage relation between independent variable and dependent variables 0.410 meaning the contribution of X1 and X2 with Y is 41%. While in testing regression is found by result that constanta (a) 85.058, while regression coefficient X1 equal -0146 and regression coefficient X2 equal ?0.437. This thing shows that variable X1 and X2 has the negative relation with variable Y or wara? can lessen level of conformity equal to 14% and emotional quotients lessens level of conformity 43 %."
