[ABSTRAK
Pencemaran udara memiliki dampak yang sangat merugikan, salah satunya adalah para polisi jalan raya yang selama bekerja terpajan udara tercemar. Penelitian ini akan mengkaji partikulat udara, black carbon dan unsur logam dari personal monitoring pada polisi jalan raya khususnya polisi satuan penjaga dan pengatur yang bertujuan untuk menentukan konsentrasi serta komposisi dari partikulat sehingga dapat dijadikan referensi berbasis ilmiah sebagai langkah untuk membuat keputusan dan kebijakkan yang tepat dalam menanggulangi resiko dari penyakit akibat terpajan ditempat kerja.
Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis Gravimetri untuk mengetahui konsentrasi dari partikulat serta analisis refaktorimeter dan EDXRF untuk mengetahui komposisi yang terdapat pada partikulat yang memajan polisi di jalan raya khususnya polisi satuan penjaga dan pengatur. Hasil yang diperoleh pada konsentrasi PM2,5 belum melebihi baku mutu OSHA maupun ACGIH namun telah melebihi baku mutu harian dari PP No. 41 Tahun 1999 yaitu 65 μg/m3 , USPA 65 μg/m3 dan WHO 25 μg/m3. Untuk Komposisi black carbon dan unsur logam belum melebihi baku mutu ACGIH 300 μg/m3. Sedangkan Konsentrasi Pb telah melebihi baku mutu yang telah ditetapkan USEPA yaitu 0,15 μg/m3.
ABSTRACT
Air pollution has very harmful effects, one of which is the highway police particularly The Guard and Regulator Unit which are exposed to polluted air during work. This study examine airborne particulates, carbon black and metal elements from personal monitoring of the highway police, especially police guard and regulator unit aiming to determine the concentration and composition of particulate matter that can be used as scientific reference as a step to make the right decisions and policy in tackling the risk of disease due to exposure in the workplace.
The method used in this research is the analysis Gravimetry to determine the concentration of particulates and refaktorimeter and EDXRF analysis to determine the composition contained in the particulates which exposes traficc police. Results obtained at a concentration of PM2.5 has not exceeded the quality standard OSHA or ACGIH but have exceeded the daily quality 65 μg/m3 based on PP 41, 1999, 65 μg/m3 based on USPA and 25 μg/m3 based on WHO. For the composition of black carbon and metal elements have not exceeded the standard quality 300 μg/m3. Pajanan diesel partikulat (DPM PM0.25) dapat menyebabkan gangguan sistem saluran pernapasan dan keluhan kesehatan terhadap pekerja, namun belum banyak penelitian dilakukan di Indonesia mengenai hal tersebut padahal IARC telah mengkategorikannya sebagai senyawa karsinogenik. Analisis pajanan dan hubungannya terhadap keluhan gangguan pernapasan subjektif dilakukan sebagai salah satu upaya pencegahan penyakit terhadap pekerja. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap petugas penguji kendaraan di UP PKB Cilincing sebanyak 24 orang melalui pengukuran pajanan personal DPM PM0.25 dan Black Carbon (BC) (20 orang) dan wawancara (24 orang). Konsentrasi pajanan BC personal berkisar antara 12,05 μg/m,3 sampai dengan 84,87 μg/m3. Keluhan yang dialami petugas penguji kendaraan adalah bersin dan hidung tersumbat (masing-masing sebanyak 50%), sakit tenggorokan dan batuk kering (masing-masing sebesar 41.7%), sesak nafas (20.8%), batuk berdahak (33.3%), nafas bunyi (mengi) (12.5%) dan sakit dada (8.3%) . Diduga BC bukan merupakan satu-satunya pemicu dan bukan penyebab langsung dalam kejadian keluhan gangguan penapasan subjektif.
......Diesel particulate exposure (DPM PM0.25) may cause respiratory system disease and health complaints to the worker. Limited research found about this subject in Indonesia, yet IARC has categorized it as a carcinogenic compound. Analysis of exposure and its relation to respiratory health complaints as one of the prevention of disease in the workplace. The research was conducted on 24 mechanics at UP PKB Cilincing through the measurement of personal exposure DPM PM0.25 and Black Carbon (BC) (20 people) and interview (24 people). The concentration of BC personal exposure ranged from 12.05 μg / m3 to 84.87 μg / m3. The common complaints experienced by mechanics were sneezing and nasal congestion (50% each), sore throat and dry cough (41.7% respectively), dyspnea (20.8%), wet cough (33.3%), wheezing (mengi) (12.5%) dan chest pain (8.3%) . Allegedly BC is not the only factor and act not as the direct cause in the incidence of subjective respiratory health complaints.
