Abstrak :
Bank Indonesia (BI) Corner merupakan fasilitas pojok baca di perpustakaan sekolah dengan karakteristik desain dan fasilitas yang memiliki potensi untuk membangun minat baca para penggunanya. Namun, kajian dan penelitian terkait pemanfaatan fasilitas dan koleksi BI Corner di tingkat siswa masih jarang ditemukan. Tujuan penelitian ini mengidentifikasi pemanfaatan fasilitas dan koleksi BI Corner serta kaitannya dalam membangun minat baca siswa di SMKN 10 Jakarta. Metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa pemanfaatan BI Corner oleh siswa dilatarbelakangi karena faktor internal dan eksternal meliputi kebutuhan siswa, motif siswa, minat siswa, aspek jumlah dan jenis koleksi, pelayanan dari pustakawan dan kinerja dari sistem pencarian kembali koleksi. Terdapat prinsip-prinsip dalam membangun minat baca siswa yaitu; cultivating Individual Interest, fostering situational interest, selecting texts with interest-enhancing elements, teaching interest self-regulation strategies. Beberapa pemanfaatan dan implementasi BI Corner di perpustakaan sekolah telah berjalan sesuai dengan keempat prinsip membangun minat baca tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan fasilitas dan koleksi BI Corner tidak memengaruhi secara langsung minat baca siswa SMKN 10 Jakarta. Tetapi beberapa fasilitas dan koleksi BI Corner telah dimanfaatkan dengan baik oleh siswa SMKN 10 Jakarta, sehingga siswa tertarik untuk berkunjung.
......Bank Indonesia (BI) Corner is a reading corner facility in the school library with design and facilities that have the potential to build reading interest among its users. However, studies and research related to the use of BI Corner facilities and collections at the student level are still rare. The purpose of this study was to identify the use of BI Corner facilities and collections and their relation to enhance students' reading interest at SMKN 10 Jakarta. A qualitative method with a case study approach is used in this study. The results of this study revealed that the use of BI Corner by students was motivated by internal and external factors including student needs, student motives, student interests, aspects of the number and type of collections, services from librarians and the performance of the collection retrieval system. There are principles in building students' reading interest, namely; growing individual interest, cultivating situational interest, choosing texts with elements of augmenting interest, teaching interest self-regulation strategies. Several uses and implementations of BI Corner in the school library have been carried out in accordance with the fourth principle of building interest in reading. Based on the results of this study, it can be interpreted that the use of BI Corner facilities and collections does not directly affect students' reading interest at SMKN 10 Jakarta. However, several BI Corner facilities and collections have been put to good use by students of SMKN 10 Jakarta, so the students are interested to visit BI Corner.
