ABSTRAK

Adopsi teknologi Generasi Keempat (4G) mendorong perubahan perilaku subcriber pada pasar Indonesia. Teknologi ini diyakini telah mempermudah subcriber untuk akses data ke media sosial elektronik, layanan pesan daring,  layanan transportasi online, dan e-commerce. Di sisi lain keberadaan layanan Over-The-Top (OTT) yang memungkinkan pelanggan  untuk melakukan panggilan voice over IP, video call, dan chatting telah menggantikan teknologi Generasi Kedua (2G) yang selama ini menjadi ladang penghasilan operator di Indonesia. Teknologi  layanan pesan daring yang marak digunakan pada era 4G dinilai telah menyebabkan penurunan trafik layanan 2G, yaitu layanan suara berbasis Circuit Switch (CS) dan Short Message Services (SMS). Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk menganalisis  keberlangsungan teknologi 2G pada jaringan seluler  PT Indosat Tbk. Dari sisi ekonomi, pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengamatan terhadap market share dan market growth dari ketiga teknologi seluler (2G, 3G, dan 4G) yang saat ini digelar PT Indosat Tbk berdasarkan revenue dan distribusi trafik dengan menggunakan Matriks Boston Cunsulting Group (BCG). Hal ini bertujuan untuk pengambilan keputusan teknologi mana yang harus dipertahankan dan teknologi mana yang harus diterminasi karena sudah tidak menghasilkan growth. Dari sisi teknis,  pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengamatan dan peramalan trafik voice dan data dari ketiga teknologi tersebut. Peramalan trafik bertujuan untuk mendapatkan periode yang tepat untuk melakukan terminasi layanan 2G. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa 4G berada pada kuadran II, 3G berada pada kuadran III dan 2G berada pada kuadran IV dari Matriks BCG.  Hasil ini mengimplikasikan bahwa 2G telah berada pada fase decline dari siklus hidup teknologi, sehingga perlu dilakukan divestasi atau switch off pada teknologi ini. Hasil dari peramalan trafik voice  juga menunjukan bahwa teknologi 2G sudah layak diterminasi dan diprediksi penurunan trafik 93% pada pertengahan 2019. Sementara   trafik data 4G diprediksi akan terus mengalami kenaikan. 


ABSTRACT


The adoption of The Fourth Generation 4G technology is driving changes in customer behavior in the Indonesian market. This technology is believed to have become an enabler technology for data access to social media, layanan pesan daring, online transportation services and e-commerce. On the other hand, the existence of the Over-The-Top (OTT) service that allows users to make Voice over IP calls, video calls and chat has replaced the 2G technology which has been the operator's main income in Indonesia. Messenger technology that is widely used in the 4G era is considered to have replaced conventional call (Circuit Switch) and Short Message Services (SMS) services. This study aims to analyze the sustainability of The Second Generation (2G) technology on the cellular network of PT Indosat Tbk. From an economic standpoint,  this study an observe the market share and market growth of the three cellular technologies currently held by PT Indosat Tbk is based on revenue and trafik distribution using the Matriks BCG. This is aimed at making technological decisions which must be maintained and which technology must be terminated because it has not showing any growth. From a technical point of view, in this study we observed and forecasted voice and data trafik from 2G, 3G and 4G technologies. This aims to get the right period to terminate 2G services. The results of this study indicate that 4G is in quadrant II, 3G is in quadrant III and 2G is in quadrant IV of Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Matrix. This result implies that 2G has been in the decline phase of the technology lifecycle, so it is necessary to divest or switch off this technology. The results of voice traffic forecasting show that 2G traffic voice will degraded about 93% in mid 2019. While 4G data traffic is predicted to continue to rise.

Export promotion is an important policy for developing country in term of foreign exchange earning. And every country has competed with each other to seize in global market in exporting their products. However, to be a winner in global competition, each country should suitably pose their products in certain market. Besides that, each country should also understand their products position (relative to their competitor) and how competitive their products in that market. This study tries to map Indonesia's product position and its performance in United Arab Emirates (UAE) market during 2001 and 2006 period. Using Boston Consulting Gronp Matrix (BCG Matrix) and Constant Markel Share Analysis (CMSA), this study found that some of Indonesia's products were superior in UAE's market especially for certain kind of textile products, paper and pulp products, automotive and parts, agro industrial products (cocoa butter, coffee, and black tea), certain kind of wood products, jewelry from precious metal, glassware, and miscellaneous products (soaps, shampoos, and pasta). While, some products faced declining in position especially for certain kind of textile products, plastic products, fomilure products.certain kind of footwear, and electronic part and accessories products. Finally, in order to improve Indonesia's export we must apply different strategy for each product depending on its position and its performance in that market.

RS Delima Asih Sisrna Medika Karawang merupakan RSU swasta tipe C yang telah beroperasi selama kurang lebih 3 tahun. Dalam kunm waktu tersebut, RS Delima Asih telah berhasil menjalin ketjiasama dengan sejumlah 36 perusahaan dan asuransi untuk pembiayaan kesehatan karyawannya. Pemasamn merupakan bagian yang sangat penting dalam pertumbuhan RS Delima Asih, untuk itu perlu disusun sebuah rencana strategis pemasaran yang tepat untuk RS Delima Asih. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan data primer dan sekunder. Data primer diperoleh dari hasil indepth interview, FGD dan CDMG dan data sekunder diperoleh dari laporan Kepala Bagian, Direktur dan suxnber lain yang remain. Am analisis yang digunakan muah "rows Mau-ix, re Matrix dan BCG Matrix. Responden adalah 6 orang Kepala Bagian. Penelitian dilakukan bulan Maret-Mei 2009. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa RS Délima Asih berada pada kuadran I (Future Quadrant) dalam TOWS Matrix, se] Growth and Stability dalam IE Matrix dan tiga unit fungsional di kuadran Question Mark serta 2 unit di kuadran Dogs. Strategi terpilih adalah penetrasi pasar. ......Delima Asih Sisma Medika Hospital in Karawang is type C general private hospital, that has been operating for approximately 3 years. For this time, Delima Asih Hospital has been making good cooperation as a health care provider for 36 companies and insuranees. Marketing is one of the main focus needed more attention in order to support the development of Delima Asih Hospital. So, the Hospital management needs to arrange a good and appropriate marketing strategic planning. This study is a qualitative study, using primary and secondary data. The primary data getting from the result of indepth interview, Focused Group Discussion and CDMG and the secondary data getting from the report of Managers, Directors and other available sources. The tools in doing analysis are TOWS Matrix, IE Matrix and BCG Matrix. Respondents arae 6 Managers of the hospital. This study conducted on March - May, 2009. The result of this study provides that Delima Asih Hospital in TOWS Matrix has position in Future Quadrant, in IE Matrix in Growth and StabiIity Cell and in BCG Matrix, there are three units in Question Mark and two units in Dogs Quadrant. The final chosen strategy is market penetration.

The aim of this research is to analyze the implementation of Sustainable Competitive Advantage (SCA) as a strategy taken by PT Garuda Indonesia in facing the commercial flight business competition in Indonesia. This research adopted Boston Consulting Group (BCG) matrix theory and the SCA approach to identify the competitive position of Garuda among its competitors in the airline industry and to analyze the component of competitors, consisting familiarity towards its own product, familiarity towards competitors, familiarity towards the competitors’ product and the component of competition techniques comprising cost advantage, product differentiation, market focus, pioneering products and market synergy. The result of this research shows that competitive position of Garuda in the airline industry in Indonesia is in the star quadrant, possessing the growth of long run opportunities. The strategies that could be adopted were forward integration, backward integration, horizontal integration, market penetration, market development and product development. Therefore it could be concluded that the SCA concept could be adopted as the marketing strategy of Garuda. The optimal adoption of the SCA concept as the marketing strategy that possessed the sustainable competition requires mending and improvement of such strategies as market synergy, human resources development and the market extension.
