Abstrak :
The lack of standardised guidelines for the preparation and submission of work schedule has contributed to several problems in construction project especially the extra efforts that have to be put in before parties involved in the project accept the work plan. This paper explores the current practice in project scheduling in the Malaysian construction industry and proposes guidelines that will alleviate the current problems in project scheduling. The methodology adopted was through interviews and questionnaire survey. The findings of the survey form a basis for the formulation of the guidelines. It consists of four main aspects of project scheduling which are process of acceptance of work schedule, responsibilities of the contracting parties, application of work schedule, and implications of work schedule. With the establishment of these guidelines a standardised approach for the preparation and submission of work schedule can be achieved thus will be able to minimise some of the problems that are currently hinder the full application of project scheduling in various construction projects. The proposed guidelines will pave the way for the inclusion of work schedule as part of the contract document.

Penentuan rute dan jadwal merupakan masalah yang terdapat dalam masalah distribusi yang dikenal dengan istilah vehicle routing problem (VRP). Rute dan jadwal yang optimal akan memberikan kontribusi terhadap penurunan biaya distribusi. Masalah distribusi dalam penelitian ini adalah pengisian bahan bakar unit loader yang tersebar di area tambang. Posisi unit loader ini berpindah-pindah dalam waktu yang tertentu sesuai dengan area mana yang akan ditambang. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan suatu model rute dan jadwal pengisian bahan bakar unit loader yang optimal yang bisa mengakomodasi terjadinya perpindahan posisi unit loader ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh model rute dan jadwal pengisian bahan bakar unit loader yang optimal dan mencegah unit loader berhenti beroperasi karena kehabisan bahan bakar. Algoritma Tabu Search akan digunakan untuk menyelesaikan masalah penentuan rute dan jadwal dalam penelitian ini. Algoritma Tabu Search merupakan salah satu algoritma metaheuristik yang ampuh untuk digunakan menyelesaikan masalah optimasi kombinatorial seperti VRP. Algoritma ini akan digunakan untuk merancang sebuah model optimasi menggunakan program MATLAB. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah diperolehnya model rute dan jadwal pengisian bahan bakar unit loader yang akan digunakan untuk menentukan rute dan jadwal pengisian bahan bakar unit loader yang optimal setiap harinya. ......Routes and Schedules determination are problem that occur in distribution problem which is known as vehicle routing problem. Optimal routes and schedules will contribute to lowering the cost of distribution. Distribution problems in this study are loader units refueling that scattered in the mine area. The position of the loader unit to move in a certain time according to which area to be mined. Therefore, we need an optimal model of the routes and schedules of loader units refueling that can accommodate the movement of the loader units position. This study aims to obtain an optimal model of routes and schedules of loader units refueling and to prevent loader units from stop operating due to running out of fuel. Tabu Search algorithm is used to solve the problem of determining the routes and schedules in this study. Tabu Search algorithm is one of the powerful metaheuristic algorithms to be used to solve combinatorial optimization problems like VRP. With this algorithm, an optimization model will be designed using the MATLAB program. Result of this study is to obtain a routes and schedules model of loader unit that will be used to determine the optimal routes and schedules of loader units refueling on the daily basis.

Permasalahan konflik penjadwalan ruangan (timetabling) sering dihadapi hampir sebagian besar institusi akademis di Indonesia, salah satunya di Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Indonesia (Fasilkom UI). Peningkatan jumlah mahasiswa setiap tahun yang tidak diikuti oleh peningkatan jumlah dan kapasitas kelas menjadi faktor penyebab utama. Selama ini sistem penjadwalan masih dilakukan secara manual, sehingga membutuhkan waktu yang relatif lama dan menyebabkan optimasi pengalokasian kebutuhan ruangan menjadi kurang efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan pendekatan yang sesuai dalam menyelesaikan masalah timetabling tersebut. Beberapa pendekatan yang dapat digunakan untuk menyelesaikan masalah ini antara lain algoritma Tabu Search, Simmulated Annealing, Graph Coloring, dan Integer Linear Programming (ILP). Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan algoritma ILP karena ILP merupakan model yang paling tepat untuk menyelesaikan masalah timetabling di Fasilkom UI. Algoritma ini dapat meminimalkan waktu yang diperlukan untuk melakukan penjadwalan dari sebulan menjadi hitungan menit.
Abstract
Room scheduling conflict issues (timetabling) are facing most of the academic institutions in Indonesia, one is in the Faculty of Computer Science (Fasilkom) Universitas Indonesia (UI). In the number of students each year followed by no increase in the number and capacity of the class became the main factor. During this scheduling system is still done manually so it takes a relatively long time so that the optimization is less efficient allocation of space requirements. This study aims to find an appropriate approach in solving the timetabling problem. Several approaches can be used to solve these problems include Tabu Search algorithm, Simmulated Annealing, Graph Coloring, and Integer Linear Programming (ILP). In this study we used the ILP algorithm for ILP is the most appropriate model to solve the timetabling problem in Fasilkom UI. This algorithm can minimize the time required to perform the scheduling of a month becomes a matter of minutes.
