"Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengalaman dua pasang partisipan yang telah menikah selama lebih dari 50 tahun. Aspek yang ingin dilihat dari penelitian ini adalah tema-tema pengalaman yang muncul sekaligus pemaknaan subyektif pasangan tersebut terhadap kehidupan perkawinannya yang sudah lebih dari 50 tahun. Mengingat fenomena yang akan dibahas adalah hal yang kompleks dan membutuhkan pemahaman yang komprehensif maka penelitian ini akan dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologis. Proses pengambilan data akan dilakukan akan melalui wawancara metode non-directive dan proses analisis data wawancara akan dilakukan melalui metode fenomenologis milik Giorgi & Giorgi (dalam Camics, Rhodes & Lucy,1989).Wawancara sendiri dilakukan pada dua pasang suami istri yang memenuhi syarat penelitian. Dari analisis terhadap hasil wawancara, dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) ada 7 tema pengalaman yang mengemuka dari struktur pengalaman masing-masing pasangan partisipan; 2) ada 5 tema yang sama di antara kedua pasang partisipan, 2 tema yang berbeda pada pasangan pertama dan 2 tema yang berbeda pada pasangan kedua; 3) kedua pasang partisipan memiliki pemaknaan yang sama terhadap pengalaman perkawinannya sekalipun berbeda aspek yang terkandung didalamnya dan intensitasnya.

The focus of this study is the experience of two couples that marriage more than 50 years. This study wants to examine the main themes of their experience and the subjective meanings of the experience to them. This experience is a complex phenomenon and needs a comprehensive understanding, therefore it is conducted with a phenomenological qualitative approach. The information is acquired from a non-directive interview and the method of interpretation is based on Giorgi & Giorgi (dalam Camics, Rhodes & Lucy, 1989) phenomenological interpretation method. The interview is conducted to two couples who fulfill these study requirements. The following are the research results: 1) there are 7 exact themes that came up from each couple participant's experience; 2) there are 5 same themes, then 2 different themes from first couples and 2 different themes from second couple; 3) the two couples participants give same subjective meanings to their past experience, even though different in what kind of life aspects and their intensity."

"Penerjemahan home secara fenomenologi cenderung berkonotasi romantik, di mana home menjadi sumber keamanan, kenyamanan, dan keselamatan. Kesimpulan mengenai home ini bermasalah, mengingat bila ketiga aspek tersebut sudah tidak ada di tempat yang kita nobatkan sebagai sumber privasi maksimal, home akan menghilang. Penelitian yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode interpretasi peleburan cakrawala ini melihat bagaimana home dapat dicermati melalui pemahaman fenomenologi dan naturalisme, sebuah pendekatan baru yang mempertimbangkan hukum alam dalam penghayatan manusia terhadap ruangwaktu tertentu. Melalui pendekatan ini, home terbentuk melalui hubungan positif antara seorang subjek dengan sebuah tempat di ruangwaktu tertentu. Memori dan pengalaman subjek terhadap tempat memperboleh gelembung home yang selalu dibawa oleh manusia melebur dengan gelembung yang ada di lingkungan. Semakin banyaknya peleburan gelembung yang terjadi, subjek akan memiliki akses ke waktu yang lebih variatif. Dengan itu, melalui perspektif fenomeno-naturalis ini, home dilihat sebagai sebuah gelembung yang bersifat dinamis, transformatif, serta memiliki kemampuan untuk merumahkan keberadaan fisik maupun metafisik.

A phenomenological interpretation of home is usually done in a romantic manner, in which home is thought to be a source of safety, comfort, and security. This conclusion of home is problematic, considering that if all of these components do not exist in a certain place, home will dissipate. This research, which was conducted by using fusion of horizon method, aims to see if the concept of home can be understood through a new approach which weighs in natural law in human perception towards a certain spacetime. Through this method, home is formed via positive connection between a subject with a certain place in a certain space time. The memories and experience of a subject towards a place allows their home bubble that is always carried by them to merge with the bubbles present in the environment. The more frequent this merger happens, the subject will have access to more time. Hence, through this phenomeno-naturalistic perspective, home is defined as a bubble that is dynamic, transformative, and has the ability to house physical and metaphysical entities."

"Penelitian ini tentang gambaran pengalaman dan makna pengalaman pada seorang wanita infertil yang mengalami menopause dini dengan menggunakan metode fenomenologis. Partisipan adalah seorang wanita berusia 48 tahun yang mengalami menopause pada usia 38 dan tidak memiliki anak. Proses pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode wawancara mendalam tidak terstruktur. Proses analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan langkah-langkah Giorgi (1985).Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat 10 tema pengalaman yaitu antara lain pengabaian, kesadaran, tekanan sosial, usaha, reaksi emosional, pendekatan agama, pasrah. Terdapat lima makna pengalaman, dan yang terpenting adalah pengalaman itu memberikan kesadaran tentang ketidaksempurnaan sebagai individu.

This study focuses on the description of experience and meaning of an infertile woman with early menopause by using phenomenology method. The participant is a 48 years old woman who experienced menopause in age of 38 and has no children. The data collection is acquired by using un-structured deep interview method. The data is analyzed by using the step of Giorgi (1985).This study results 10 themes of experience such as: ignorance, awareness, social pressure, efforts, emotional reaction, religious approach, acceptance. From 10 themes of experience derived 5 meanings of experience where awareness of the imperfection as an individual has become the most important."

"Merawat anggota keluarga yang mengalami sakit kronis memengaruhi kehidupan anggota keluarga secara fisik, psikologis, dan sosial. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengalaman keluarga dalam merawat anggota keluarga dengan penyakit kronis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi deskriptif. Partisipan merupakan delapan keluarga yang merawat anggota keluarga dengan sakit kronis. Tema yang ditemukan mencakup perubahan status kesehatan penderita, respons psikologis keluarga, upaya untuk mempertahankan kesehatan, dan harapan keluarga. Simpulan penelitian menggambarkan respons yang dialami oleh keluarga berbeda bergantung pada onset, lama, dan prognosis penyakit serta tahapan stres yang dialami keluarga. Perawat dapat memberikan manajemen asuhan keperawatan kepada keluarga berupa intervensi pendidikan kesehatan mengenai penyakit kronis, psikoedukasi, dan konseling keluarga dalam merawat penderita sakit kronis.ABSTRAKThe Experience of Family Caregivers of Persons with Chronic Illness. Caring for family member with chronic illness affects the lives of family physically, psychologically, and socially. The aim of this study was to describe the experience of family member in caring for family members with chronic illness. A qualitative design with descriptive phenomenological approach was chosen for this study. Qualitative interviews with eight families were performed. The results included a changed health status for the person with chronic illness, family psychological response, efforts of maintain health and family expectations about type and quality of health services. Conclusion of research illustrated that response experienced by families were different depending on the onset, duration, and prognosis of the diseases and the stage of stress experienced by the family. Thus nurses could provide nursing care to family with chronic illness which are consist of health education and counseling in order to caring for family members with chronic illness."
