......The building of Jeugdgevangenis or Tangerang Youth Prison is located in Banten Province, precisely in Tanah Tinggi, Tangerang. The construction of the Jeugdgevangenis Tangerang by the Dutch East Indies government began in 1924 and completed in 1927. This study reconstructs the building of Jeugdgevangenis Tangerang in archaeological alienation studies. Studies of alienation and archaeological alienation are still rarely conducted in Indonesia. Alienation first appeared in the 18th century, while the first archaeological research on alienation was in 1997. Panopticons used to support alienation studies from prison buildings as a discipline oversight of the society in prison. This study uses archaeological research methods by Robert H Sharer and Wendy Ashmore (2010): formulation, implementation, data collection, data processing, analysis, interpretation, and publication. Collection and processing data conducted through literature studies and surveys at the Tangerang Youth Correctional Institution. The results of research explain that the reconstruction of Jeugdgevangenis Tangerang building through several building components, such as cell rooms consisting of 6 blocks, control towers, bathroom facilities and wells, activity rooms, and the shape of the building itself which resembles a fan as the form of disciplinary structure described by Bentham in panopticon concept.

......Since the 19th century, the Kamboja Cemetery Depok has been used as a public burial ground by Christian communities, both from Europa and all around Nusantara. Archaeological studies need to be carried out to see what forms of habitus and social class were in the very heterogeneous Depok society during the colonial period. Studies are done in stages, starting with data collection, data processing, analysis, and interpretation. The results explain that the Depok people's habitus is reflected in the architectural style of headstones which is very oriented towards European culture, especially the Dutch on the VOC era. The level of religious observance of the people of Depok as a Calvinist Protestant is also very strong, as can be seen from the religious attributes on the decorative headstones. Based on the habitus and variety of capital, the people of Depok are divided into three social groups, namely the dominant class, the middle class (petty bourgeoisie), and the lower class (workers).

Smith, Charles Roach
Abstrak :
Charles Roach Smith (1806–90) had a prosperous career as a druggist. His shop was in the City of London, then undergoing major excavation and redevelopment, and he began to collect the artefacts being uncovered around him. With a widening interest in all aspects of the past, Smith began to publish notes on his collection as well as antiquarian observations. (His Illustrations of Roman London is also reissued in this series.) This three-volume work, published 1883–91, reviews his activities as an excavator, collector, and co-founder of the British Archaeological Association. Pen-portraits of fellow enthusiasts and descriptions of ancient buildings and ruins are interspersed with accounts of infighting in the Association, and biting criticism of local and national authorities who refused to take on responsibility for Britain's archaeological heritage. Volume 2 contains anecdotes including an archaeological excavation conducted by Darwin's mentor Henslow on a tumulus in his parish.
