"Konsep Teori Adaptasi Roy menekankan pada peningkatan adaptasi individu terhadap perubahan pemenuhan kebutuhan fisiologis, konsep diri, fungsi peran dan interdependensi. Gangguan pada sistem perkemihan akan mempengaruhi pemenuhan kebutuhan fisiologis khususnya kebutuhan cairan dan elektrolit. Peran perawat dalam hal ini adalah membantu individu beradaptasi terhadap empat mode pemenuhan kebutuhan, khususnya mode fisiologis : cairan dan elektrolit. Fokus utama bahasan adalah penerapan teori adaptasi Roy pada pasien dengan berbagai gangguan sistem perkemihan (30 kasus), penerapan EBN: Self Efficacy Training terhadap kepatuhan pembatasan cairan dan penggunaan media edukasi: Booklet Interaktif pada pasien penyakit ginjal tahap akhir. Hasil akhir dari penerapan Teori Adaptasi Roy menunjukkan adanya mekanisme adaptasi positif terhadap stimulus yang diterima pasien dan penerapan EBN menunjukkan adanya penurunan IDWG sebesar 0.58 kg. Sedangkan hasil evaluasi terhadap program inovasi menunjukkan bahwa media yang digunakan dapat diterima dengan baik oleh pasien.

The concepts of Roy's adaptation theory is to emphasize individual adapt to changes in his physiological needs, the self-concept, the role function, and the interdependence. The urinary system disorders are affecting a physiological need on human especially fluid and electrolyte needs. Nurses is necessary help patients to adapt in four modes adaptation needs, especially physiologic modes : fluid and electrolyte. The main focus of discussion is the use of Adaptation theory in 30 patients with disorder urinary system, Application of self efficacy training and interactive booklet. The final results adaptation theory is able to show the positive mechanisms of adaptation in patients with urinary system disorders. The result of evidence based nursing application was able to show IDWG decrease by 0.58 kg. While the final results of innovation program was able to show a media can be accepted by the patient."
